That Oba has always been known to be reckless. I remembered I went to sec school with one of his sons. The son was flogged by a teacher then he sent police to beat the teacher (he was a commissioner of police at that time 1995/6). The principal of the school suspended the son until the father apologised to the teacher. |

Politics › Re: NNPC Audit Report Exposes Double Subsidy Payments by tlops(m): 12:14pm On Apr 28, 2015 |
4.1.6. Other findings 4.1.6.1. Data collation and single point accountability The data gathered by the various Agencies and sub-units are kept within the custody of the respective Agencies/SBUs. There is no single reliable data repository that can provide a holistic overview of the crude oil sales process from end to end. As such, variances in the records which would flag issues may be missed. Also, the opportunity to take informed decisions based on robust underlying data is limited. We observed that the same data obtained from different sources contained discrepancies which had not been reconciled as at the time of this review. An example would be the details of all crude oil cargoes lifted; information from the DPR, Pre-shipment Inspection Agencies and the NNPC COMD had not been reconciled as at the time of review. More so, the various Agencies and sub-units administering the crude oil sales process work in silos and there is no single point accountability. This is characterized by record duplications, reconciling items, opacity regarding the activities of certain Agencies/SBUs and inefficiencies. Reconciliation was particularly challenging as we needed an independent source to verify the lifting records provided by COMD. The data obtained from DPR and the PIAs were incomplete, duplicated or difficult to interpret. The reports generated by the Agencies/SBUs have different formats and classifications which creates difficulties in comparison of similar data sets from different Agencies/SBUs. For example, the export data as captured by the PIAs and DPR does not break down the crude oil exports per category like Tax Oil, Royalty oil, Export crude etc |

obailala: Actually, the PWC report also identified and illegal over $9bn spending by NNPC but NNpC claims this money was spent on kerosene subsidy which was never included in the national budget nor approved by the NASS.
With just this little info, Sanusi is already right about $1.4 bn + $9bn Actually, I have not seen or read the report. any links yet on NL? |
Politics › Re: Missing $20 Billion: What If Sanusi Lied? by tlops(m): 8:22am On Apr 28, 2015 |
jusRadical: Assuming that Buhari after assuming office, probes the issue of the 'missing' $20billion and discovers that it is all lies (though I reckon that Buhari knows the truth about the issue), what will be the atmosphere in Nigeria? I think the motive is not to prove Sanusi right or wrong! You know that before the whistle blowing, nobody knew anything about the dealings in NNPC. After the President GEJ's probe 1.4billion USD was discovered missing (Unaccounted for). The issue is if there was no $20 billion accusation there would not have been a $1.4 billion discovery. So Sanusi may have over estimated the missing fund, but the truth is that there was missing fund, which would not have come to light without Sanusi. |

Politics › Re: Asari Dokubo's Wife Reacts To Buhari's Planned Probe Of Missing $20bn by tlops(m): 12:39pm On Apr 27, 2015 |
Sweetguy25: 20 billion dollars is almost the annual allocation to all Nigerian states. During the period the money was said to be missing, no state or local government ever complained of not being remitted or given its allocation for the month throughout the year. Only a complete fooool, an utter ìdiot will believe that 20 billion dollars can go missing without having any effect whatsoever in government expenditure. Why you dey fear? The purpose of the probe is to ascertain the issue. the probe will show if the money was missing or not... it is not targeted towards anybody except those that stole the money. So if you know anybody that took part of the money, you better advice them to return their share of the loot. |

MalcoImX: Amaechi especially, if he's an Igbo can make it because he has a national appeal. Okorocha and Ngige too. But the problem with Igbo politics is anybody who tries to build a bridge to other Nigerians is seen as an outcast. That is the problem! they need to make ally with other tribes to be able to win presidency. I love a quote from Chuba Wilberforce Okadigbo, he said and I am paraphrasing "there are many roads to the FCT but the northern route is the fastest". meaning for him to make it to the state house he should pally with the North. |

Pastor Adeboye is not a politician. Both GEJ and David chose the the way they wanted to be prayed for. If GEJ had stood Pastor Adeboye would not have force him down. If God is going to answer David C's prayers, that between God and him.
