odimbannamdi: Thanks for the response, boss, and very insightful perspectives you presented there.
However, i discovered that my "curtain" was the culprit... ...somehow, the curtain close to the area my setup is installed blocked the fan operating inside the charger and heat possibly built up in the system over the night causing it to damage. When the first repairer i took it to in Ijesha opened it, we discovered that two major components (i think the power, transformer and toroid or so) was completely burnt. The repairer condemned it...
I decided to count my loss and buy a new one. So, i headed to Idi-oro, Mushin, and bought a new one. Just as i was about leaving the shop, it occurred to me to ask them who repairs Suoer inverters and chargers and they referred me to one Pastor at Macintosh plaza, opposite Gtbank. Luckily, he had a scrap charger of same model, so he replaced all the burnt components and the charger is working well. The man confidently said he repairs inverters and chargers, but he is a specialist in Suoer. So, just in case someone needs to repair any Suoer product, i will be happy to direct the person to him.
Summarily, i ended up with 2 chargers (a new one and the repaired one). My usual sef would have put up one of them for sale immediately... , but the way prices of things are skyrocketing, i am better off keeping it. Besides, it doesnt hurt to have an extra of these kind of devices as they come in handy as backups Please share the contact of the souer charger repairer |

Ferdinandu: No matter how you calculate it people hardly part with more than 10% of their income as tax here in Nigeria except those in the formal sector. That is why people will gladly give 10% to pastors in the name of tithe. Had it been that people spend as much as 25 to 35% of their income on taxes as it is done abroad, you will slap any pastor who tell you to bring 10% of your income People in formal sector donate their first salary every January in some churches in Nigeria. Until you truly explore and see how much people pay as TAX daily and monthly in Nigeria, you will never believe many Nigerians pay tax. Many states in Nigeria basically overtax the people to generate IGR. |

rookidmart: $43 (~₦19k; ₦32k) monthly for unlimited data is not bad. Way cheaper than the competition.
Assuming an average speed of ~150mbps (18MBPS) for which FiberOne and iPNX charge for ~₦62,000
However, the installation costs are steep: $600 (₦267,000 at bank rate; ₦450,000 at black market rate) vs ~₦50,000 for FOB or iPNX.
Reliability is a concern here though - would it work well in bad weather? Rains would start next year so I'll be waiting for your feedback by then.
Thanks for sharing.
PS how do you pay for subscriptions? Naira or dollar card? It should work well in bad weather . The satellites are in a ring formation and you only stay connected to a satellite for about 4 minutes before handing over to another satellite. I think the speed is ok for the price and since it is unlimited, it is worth the money. I seen people test in bad weather and it performed well with very low latency sef |

Jakumo: Scammers do exist and operate all over the world for sure, BUT those in Nigeria do constitute a far greater percentage of the general population than is the case anywhere else on the planet, with the possible exception of Jamaica, where lottery scam practitioners are numerous and prolific in their own crime wave. This is not true.. Check the stats Nigeria dey top ten but definitely not topping the chat. Pakistan,Romania, Brazil have a lot more scammers than naija |

pinkasso: No system/government will develop without accountability, we blacks in sub-saharan Africa will design a system and deliberately include loopholes so that they can never be accountable...just give an African money in this region come back after 1year and ask how he spent the money he/she immediately gets angry...we just don't like it it's innate...moral hazard everywhere, a professor for that matter, see NNPC for example with this fuel scarcity salaries, bonuses, even estacode will be paid to staff for almost doing nothing..all our smartness nah to bypass system left, right and center . It happens everywhere . As long as the system is weak and corrupt. If the US operate on our laws, it will be more corrupt than we are. How are many Nigerians abroad not breaking the laws abroad will gladly do so here?. The government needs to fix the system and our laws first. The AGF that stole billions will likely go free. Oluwapresley: 6 months scarcity! Sigh! Must things just be difficult in this country? And everyone is looking forward to Dangote's refinery. How bad can a country get. One man is doing something a whole country has not been able to do and the nonsense country to make things funny, invested in the so called refinery instead of the other way around.
Well, since Nigeria is now a sufferhead country, let's hear up again. Smh It looks like they are stalling for Dangote to start selling, So he can sell at a price profitable and people won't hate him for it. God help us sha. |

Kajaard: People keep complaining about the government as if they are the only corrupt people in the country.
The average Nigerian citizen is extremely corrupt. The society is completely rotten from top to bottom.
Corruption pervades everywhere - in schools, offices, churches and places of religious worship etc. I still blame the government. In the western world , they have a very strict law and punishment for tax evaders. If such laws are not in place , people will definitely evade paying taxes. No human is good by default. The government must lead by example. This crooked ex VC will get at most a slap on the wrist. The government must hold us all to account when when commit crimes, that is the only way to tame corruption. |

Morning guys , pls my guy needs help.
I introduced this page to my friend when he started his Canada student visa application. Unfortunately, he was denied on his first attempt , so someone introduce an agent/immigration lawyer (in Canada) to him. He paid close to 500k for the first application which was still Denied. The agent reapplied for him and this time , it came through. The agent is now demanding additional 730k to release his details to him and it is 1week already , he has 3 weeks to submit his passport.I tried to chat with the agent to pacify and bargain the money to a more reasonable amount, the agent blocked me .
Please is there anyway to retrieve his details or atleast get the agent to come to terms with him.
@sapte in noticed you had some issue with your agent at some point. Pls help.
Gurus in the house , kindly help. |
