The trend now is that Nairaland is now tied around ethnic discussion and not longer logical discussion. Op your fact is wrong, you can only become insecure when you see your spouse as a threat in progress |

In Sport it's better you are disciplined as an athlete, however arrogance is synonymous with champions; which can be termed healthy confidence, that's the burning desire to win and also the negative arrogance which is the true arrogance as a result of an exaggerated view of ability and insecurity; this often leads to public displeasure and mockery. He needs help to manage his anger, he can even channel it to something more positive and profiting |

It's a good move, the earlier the government start decentralizing these agencies to all the zones, it will bring out healthy competition and development to all regions, I hope he does same to the sea port in Lagos, so that Delta or even PH ports, it will decongest Lagos and make it more finer and it will bring developments in these states and reduced the cost of going to Lagos when you can easily use the areas nearer to you |

It's still related, the same way El Rufai can't see anything bad in Obi for now, it's the same way Reno Omokri can't see any thing bad in the Tinubu he was using derogatory words on before now
One of the reasons why you Obidients will always fail with whatever you are supporting is, you don't know how to argue you don't know how to prove your points while hardly stay with the topic of discussion.
This thread is about Edo state and Peter Obi, I brought in Elrufai because he had similar issue in Anambra under Peter Obi as governor. Peter Obi is the mutual factor for referencing El Rufai
Please how did Reno and president Tinubu take enter this discussion?[/quote] |

The way people take sides and reasoned sometimes is alarming, if the same thing happens to their children they will want to bring the world down, but when it happens to others they start talking about technicalities, severe punishment should be given to offenders and not only giving reasons why they did it.
If you catch criminal that almost injured you, some persons will still give excuse that what have they done to politicians stealing our money.
But why I am not surprised is that so many of them speaking are paedophiles cum perverts, they must support their likes |

If we had gotten it right in the country, all you listed would have not been a topic of discussion, because there is suppose to be continuity in development, due to ethnic and religious problems bedeviling us as nation.
But I think if the train is going the right decision we should all cue in to make it work, that how and when the continuity in development as a nation and people will work |

Barrywilly: I am not surprised seeing this post from an IPOB apologist. There is no army of any nation that can not suffer a setback or defeat in the battlefield. The Almighty Russia is presently facing an embarrassing defeat against Ukraine. America suffered the same in Afghanistan etc. This is a half story. The armoured tanks got stuck in the mud and had to be abandoned in the midst of heavy gunfire in order to save their lives. The problem predated Tinubu. Their son, Buhari, was in power for 8yrs and couldn't do anything to tackle the banditry. Why blaming someone just little above 1yr in office. Why can't we leave ethnicity and religion aside and face our problem bedevilling us squarely, and for the records, the mraps were not captured, it was stuck there, due to the terrain, and the military should have laid there to guard the equipment from these enemies of the state. Please we should all work together to achieve peace, because nobody knows who is next victim to these wicked people |

ChristCee: You have always stood on the wrong side that's why you don't always see the good side of Nigeria and her military, but you are a Nigerian too, you can join the military and show them how to be a good personnel cum citizen.
Edit; I know this happened in Niger, you all should understand sarcasm and the fact that we should now use every ironical situation to let the international community know about human rights violations and civilian abuse in southern Nigeria. . And for haters...I am Yoruba and will always support Mr. President and the development of Nigeria as a Nation... so don't politicize it. . Even if Ghanaian military are ambushed then Nigeria as ECOWAS leaders should go set up military bases there....since they now take over functions of every one including the police and the civil defence. Not to even mention that Nigerian forces are active in all ECOWAS borders with Nigeria. Smh The military won't flex muscle here cuz' it's the north. They only remember they can shoot when there killed in the south or assaulted by civilians. Shame on all corrupt military leaders in Nigeria. Lazy weaklings only good with assaulting helpless civilians. . Randomly pic 100 soldiers from Nigeria and bring them to the creeks in Lagos, Benin, Warri, etc and make them go one on one in boxing with boys in the ring. The soldiers will lose every time. . Their poor training shows in their judgements and inability to deal with terrorists. . They are fast turning Nigeria into an animal farm and I hope they won't end up waking the sleeping giants in Nigerians. . As powerful as the Egyptian Military is, when the Egyptians decided they've had enough the military was totally helpless...and the population of Egypt is nothing compared to that of Nigerians. . People are kidnapping and killing Nigerians in the north but these organized criminals in uniforms are dancing python and assaulting people in the south. No transparency...even the governor was saying 'some of those things cannot be revealed publicly' if soldiers were killed and civilians are now being assaulted why can't the whole processes be totally open and transparent? . . Nigerian soldiers can whip and beat 80 years olds, pastors, imams on their asses and even frog jump them. It's what we have all seen before. No respect for Nigerians... And in Russia with all the trainings and rogedness of their soldiers they treat civilians and foreigners like me with care and admiration. Imagine a 7ft muscular bald tough-looking Russian soldier in uniform telling a black 5'9 man like me "Sir, did you also arrive on the same flight UTair With me?" -Yes. "Then you are standing at the wrong place. Our baggages will come from that second roller" (point of view. He noticed as a foreigner I had problem reading the instructions in Russian and thus stood at the wrong place for my baggage) . I will be honest. No one has ever respected me that much in Nigeria. And I can bet that No Nigerian soldier nor police could be this gentle even with their own citizens. . I have always maintained that the rot in the military and the police force is the biggest problem of Nigeria from assault on junior officers and ridiculing of civilians, flouting of court orders and torture, bribery, extortion, manipulation of court proceedings, intimidation and implicating people you need to step out of Nigeria once to realize the level of backwardness we have in so many sectors. . Nigeria has all the military apparatus to defeat Boko-Haram we just need to change our orientations about a lot of things and the most important one is interaction with civilians, synergy amongst military forces, respect for culture and cultural leaders. . Again for those quoting me, you forgot Nigeria was almost going to be involved in a military action against Niger then we backed out. But now we are involved in a military action against our own brothers from the south. Killers and murderers should be made to face the book but transparency matters otherwise you can't tell me civilians are not being killed unjustly. . God bless Nigeria and God bless the president to make the right decisions in the face of Northern and military pressures. |

The parents should be blamed, if your parents do their home work very well and your friends parents didn't raised your friend well which in turn becomes your peer group; before you know it you will start learning the bad morals from him/her. So if all the parents can be able to do their jobs well judiciously and religiously, we will have a much better society. Science/Technology › Facebook Is Changing Its Name To Meta As It Focuses On The Virtual World by tobeGod(op): 7:32pm On Oct 28, 2021 |
Facebook on Thursday announced it changed its name to Meta, part of a strategic shift to emphasize the development of its virtual world while its main social network business is in crisis. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement at Connect, the company’s annual hardware event where it talks about products like the Portal video devices and Oculus headsets. The rebranding — pegged to a virtual world and hardware known as the “metaverse” — comes amid a broader effort to shift attention away from revelations that it knew its platform was causing a litany of social harms. The Facebook social network is not changing its name. “From now on, we’re going to be the metaverse first. Not Facebook first,” Zuckerberg said in his keynote. “Facebook is of for the most used products in the world. But increasingly, it doesn’t encompass everything that we do. Right now, our brand is so tightly linked to one product that it can’t possibly represent everything we are doing.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2021/10/28/facebook-meta-name-change/ |
