No cause for alarm. No one can withdraw ur letters again. Its just dat pple re anxious to knw where dey will be posted and d package. God has done it already nd it is irreversible. |

Lord Almighty, you are the one who sees the pain and the groaning of every heart. I pray thee to grant these people their heart desires. Settle them in time for your mercy sake. Grant then joy in their hearts and testimonies in their mouths once again. These I ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Penproph: Any information as regards today's trainingEkiti people re done with documentation; dey have bn undergoing inhouse training/induction since last week thur. Ogun pple re done with documentation too. Their own inhouse training/induction will commence mid dis week. |
Kingscollege: Please note that there will be noreview of appointment after acceptance of this offer. Can somebody interprete this.there won't be room for any correction after d offer is accepted. Simple! |
Leader600: @ Tobnical, that is to say HND/BSC dichotomy still exist in the civil service.yes it is but I don't think its d best. |
Kingscollege: HND management was given GLO7 has executive officers which is d same thing wit GL8 admin officers.not at all! By all standard, admin officer is higher dan Higher executive officer even if both are on GL8. One of d senior staffs of INEC said an Admin officer on GL 8 is placed in hierarchy ahead of GL 14 who is a Higher executive officer tho his salary is much more dan dat of admin officer. |
D induction/training at Ogun and Ekiti actually took place. It is an in-house arrangement for the newly employed staffs. Its just to keep dem busy. It has nothing to do with d official induction coming up in Abuja soon!so no panic for those whose state is doing nothin for now. |
and who re you to come to that conclussion? inec hr? pls stop feeding us wit bullshit haba.
Mr. JJC,relax! don't kill yourself!after all nobody mandates u to view the thread. U can simply walk away. |
you guys should stop spreading spurious information; we ll all be called up when inec hr is ready; why cant people just pe patient? na wah ooooo
I don't write wht I am not sure of.d whole thin is decentralised. So there may not be uniformity in the exercise |
Penproph: @tobnical.wat about those from lagI will advise everyone to goto his/her INEC state office. Info reaching me is dat induction will come up this week on state basis. Tho It might just be state arrangement. Dat might hav nothin to do with d one in Abuja. |
specialguest: Thank you for the update. I'd like to know if people from Ogun and Ekiti state received any sms with regards to the documentation, As for the reference letter is it supposed to be addressed to Inec or "to who may concern".dere was no SMS . d ref leta is addressed to REC, INEC, state of Origin. |
Documentation has commenced in Ogun and Ekiti state. 1. Photocopy of credentials 2. 3 reference letters 3. Certificate of medical fitness 4. Notice of assumption of duty 5. Letter of acceptance of offer. 6. Passport photograph |
TOLUKEMLIZZY: well domicile also mean a permanent homedats true. Let's just wait for its interpretation from INEC though we re asked to resume at d state INEC HQ on monday for documentation. |
TOLUKEMLIZZY: My people relax it is sure we are going to wk in our local govt are. Here what was written in punch 16 Nov,12:CANDIDATE SHOULD APPLY IN AREAS WHERE THEY ARE DOMICILED AND SHOULD EXPECT TO BE DEPLOYED IN SUCH AREA IF SUCCESSFUL. So why are we worried about where to wk?d word "domicile" is d bone of contention here. Where u live is ur area of domicile and it might not necessarily be ur LGA of origin. Most of the successful applicants I met are domiciled in lagos/Abuja; does it mean dey will all work dere. Som re relocating already to their states of origin based on d instructions from state INEC offices that we re goin to work in our states of origin wh is contrary to the advert. |

Leader600: Yeah, Tobnical, in lagos we had about 246 officers that worked as RACO. And yet the job was overwelming. The Raco is to manage the RAC daily. RAC... Registration area centre.RACO-- registration area centre officer is to train the AROs. For every pooling booth, u will always see 2 Aros. Called ARO1 n ARO11. Registration area simply means ward. I think the commission what to do it on ward basis instead of pooling units basis.Humm, it is gonna be a harculean task! Except they engage more ad-hoc staff. Tobniacal, u can see why, it becomes painful if those that they appointed as ad-hoc staff last time find themselves as ad-hoc staff.lol! Cant u see, it is very funny. Nigeria is a country to watch action n horrible films and keep on laughing!there re 774LGAs meaning each of d LGA wud b assigned bet 1/2 staffs; and dere re up to 10wards in each of d LGA so how will 1 or 2 persons manage d whole wards. I strongly believe dat more people will still be employed. |
Leader600: @ Tobnical if i happen to be in INEC policy making organ, or even the chairman himself, i would ensure that the recruitment advert does not exceed 3days. Since the number we require into the list of our wkforce is small compare to number of applicants that will bombard the commission site. The reason been that it will be better that u do not apply, than submitting application and denied invitation. Physicologically it is dishartening and frustrating! Secondly, Tobnical, if u study human resource management , u should knw that one of the cardinal objectives of HRM is to ensuring the right quantity and quality wkforce are the right place and time......Here, selection process is the key phrase. When they say , qualify n experience graduate, should apply, what does it mean to ? It mean pple like u tobnical and others who av one time served the commission/ Nigerian graduates that share the core ideal of the commission of taking the country to commanding heights of excellence .Now, more than 800,000applied n you are inviting just 6000 for Aptitude test just within 15days after the close of application form! Abah! Recruitment excercise like that should take a little more time, so that there wouldnt be travesty of justice n allow principle of HRM/ HCM to thrive. Although, i am an engineering graduate, i was once taught during a managent professional programme, a fraught recruitment process, will inevitably leads to high labour turnover, if not properly checked! One tin that delight me most about the recruitment excercise is that it is devoid of bribery and corruption. No greasing of palm, no connection.....thumb up for the commission! But to say selection is on merit, i TOTALLY DISAGREE.I think I understand d point u re driving at. Dey actually overlooked d aspect of experience which is vital. All d same, deres room for taining nd retraining. If u go thru d job description of AROs, dey re basically employed to supervise d activities in their registration areas/collation of data. Meaning dat dere wud still b ad-hoc staffs who will do d actual registration. |
easiaq: Na so oo ma guy,i also wk as d P.O during 2011 election n i also wrote d app test but i wasnt call,so na prayr man need if d 2nd phase of d recruitmnt is real n anytin 2 to go by den God fit help person or may b best of job is comin ur way,bt as far as dis inec recruitment is concern is flawless coz many of ma pals getam so na prayrwit God all things are possible. Just let ur faith be strong and be more intense in ur prayers. INEC will soon call you! |
@Leader600: let's engage ourself in a constructive arguments now. Assuming u re INEC, nd u re faced with d task of selecting 1500 candidates from d lists of 800000 applicants, how wud u go abt it to avoid bias? |
Hajiharuna: But GL 08/2 in federal ministries is less than 84,000 except if you mean in parastatals!basically, d basic salary per annum frm FG for GL 8 step 2 is N677,704=56,475.33/mnth while GL 8 step 1 is N655,384= N54,615.33/ mnth b4 tax nd is d same for all ministries and parastatals. The other allowances added is what led to the variation. For instance, d electoral allowance in INEC for GL 8 step 2 per month is around N22,000. Other parastatals got as much as allowances dat is greater dan their basic salary. Dats wht happend in the case of NAFDAC. Very soon, GL 8 in INEC will earn above N100000. |
raphaelk: If i am not mistaken he said because of transparency and other factors they did`t consider the senior staff family for the post, my question is this, are they not Nigerians ?........If someone shares the same surname with the senior staff so he/she is automatically disqualified, believe me that method is wrong i said it in one of my poses that the way we think in Nigeria is upside down......if you are not considered don`t worry your own miracle is on the way, those that are considered God will give you wisdom and power to serve your father land well........to be candid dat wud b very painful to those children bcus such opportunity might never come again. All d same if not for dat strict measure, some of us wouldn't have gotten the job. May God in his infinite mercy answer those that are still expecting |
sleekdot: The same reason guys fake sexuall experiencend wht is dat intended to achieve? |

arumen: I can't believe that people on this thread, murdering english language are the same successful candidates in the pack of over a million people that applied. How did u make it through the test, let alone the interview? Nigeria we hail thee!!!!!sit down there till your so called village grammar earn you a living. |
No Scandal in INEC Recruitment – INEC Sir, your allegation of impropriety in the recruitment by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is untrue and mischievous. The procedure adopted for the exercise meets the highest test of integrity, transparency and stakeholder involvement. Merit was strongly applied in considering the applications; and because INEC is a public agency, the Federal Character Commission was fully consulted in the application of the quota principle. Contrary to your allegation that applicants “wasted their time and money,” no money was requested or obtained from the applicants. It is widely known that more than 800,000 applications were received for the 1,500 jobs that INEC had on offer. Out of those applications, 6,000 applicants were shortlisted for aptitude testing. For your information, the list published on your website contains selected names out of the shortlist of applicants invited for the aptitude test, not the applicants ultimately considered for the jobs. To avoid the mischief that could be resorted to by aggrieved persons, the Commission had taken the initiative to deny themselves by excluding qualified family members (children, sisters, brothers, wives, husbands) of senior INEC officials. This sacrifice was painful, but considered necessary for the exercise. It is sad that mischief is yet been made about the process. As evidence of the transparency of the recruitment exercise, the Commission will shortly upload the criteria applied in the exercise on its website. - Kayode Robert Idowu Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman
