raphaelk: You said 35 years,why 35 years ? once you are a Nigerian they should not use age to judge, i have a friend because of his age, he is 37 years they did`t call him. It is not his fault now, ASU Strike makes him stays long in University, i`m still saying it using age in Federal Recruitment is absolutely wrong,age should not be used for screening.Everybody knows that if you plan to spend 4 or 5 years in the university in Nigeria you may end up spending 7 or 8 years.....a company i`m working now they don`t use age for recruiting what they are after is what you can deliver , not age for God` sake, once age is not used in political office why age in recruiting. Guys wake up this our government is cheating us........

D ideology behind dis is this, a newly employd person is expected to work for 30 yrs nd mustn't b more dan 60yrs of age at d point of retirement. So if u employ 30yrs nd below, dey wud serve conveniently for 30 yrs. But if u re 40, u wud only work 4 20 yrs b4 ur retirement.

Congrat to all those who got their letters in Lagos. I learnt from a reliable source within INEC dat d mnthly takehome is N72000 pendin d salary increament which would com up b4 d end of d year.

I wish to state categorically here that this recruitment is free and fair. personally i don't know anybody in INEC or anybody that assisted me to get the job. I met some people too who said exactly the same thing and i believe their stories. the number of applicants make it almost impossible to understand the process of selection. how do you select 1500 people from 800,000 applicants? imagine the number of 2-1 and first class that would be there. I think Prof. Jega deserves kudos!

at least a statement of result that states ur qualification and ur grade. tho they insisted that some shld bring original cert most especially if its has been long u graduated. i.e like 2009, 2010,2007 etc.

if your age is above 35, u wont be given the letter. wht u nid basically is ur HND/BSC,NYSC, SSCE, birth cert, LG identification and professional cert if u belong to the professional group

GL 8 Step 2 for pple with NYSC experience and GL 8 step 1 for pple with exceptions. dat should be around 84,000 after all deductions. but i guess INEC should have other allowances better than other federal ministries

dont boda abt pry schl cert. it is just to verify your claimed age.they wud ask u logical questions to ascertain if ur claimed age is true. just be consistent. the max age has been increased to 35.
Questions like: when did u finish primary schl, what year, at what age, when did u start primary school? etc.
if u dont go with 5passport photograph, it might hinder d collection of ur letter.

Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti applicants got their offer letters at Ado Ekiti INEC office yesterday while Ondo, Osun and Lagos will get theirs 22nd/23rd jan. I have gotten my offer letter already. resumption date is monday at the INEC state headquarters for documentation not Abuja as initially speculated. God be praised
