Someone requested his client need a domain In a particular niche which I have an apt domain for it but haven't registered it.

On this case of sales report,Icausetrouble used to report sales with name but the reason why he stop doing that is unknown at least I know of mellow//tiger and truth/or/die and some others I can't remember.

Okay... somebody began to make success in sales. As the thing go, He makes sales report. But keep on blanking out the name of the domain sold.....

This split the land into two.

1. Those that agree

Well for those that agrees, their motives is not known ( or should we say they are speaking from personal experiences) But we will explore this much further in this Strategic explanation.

But for those that disagrees, we can obviously see a stand for their disagreement as they keep pointing to a common ground that built this thread and similarly threads around the world.


Their common ground is there is a format for reporting sales

You don't need to be told. You know.

How do I know?

It is this format you met when you first began with this thread.

SAME could be said to the person reporting the sales. When he started, it is sure he met the thread with the same format.

Which Is


You report your sales with the NAME.
. It's no brainer. The name is more valuable then the price. In fact the name makes us know why the domain Is sold for such amount.

That said. We have seen some exemptions thou.

1. Where there is a NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) of the said name: In this agreement. Sometimes you are not permitted to reveal the price the domain was sold for.
You completely just enjoy the sale while keeping quiet.

2. The domain is under 60days lock

3. The domain is paid for installmentally.

With these situation, most times the report can be made will not revealing the name.

E.g Budosky when he sold Scamdemic
He only reported the price and came back to report the name after the 60days lock was over.

BACK TO THOSE THAT AGREES


Someone stated this is a public forum you can do what you want and report the way you want ( He uses an example of Twitter).

He quickly forgets this is a not just a public forum but a sub-forum of a public forum, which we now have a thread where rules are allow to be sets.

E.g

Travel trend.( sub forum of Nairaland).
Uk student trend ( a thrend sub thrend of travel thrend ) where the started can now set rules (e.g don't ask how I obtain my student visa go to the thread where it is addressed. This is just an enjoyment thread of student)

Don't forget he mentioned Twitter

It is well know Twitter is not a forum but a person handle.

Domainking: is in between, He shows and sometime he doesn't show.

So, Twitter is not a strong argument. It is a personal handle and nobody can critic you there. Note that these people if they decide to report in a forum (Namepros Namebio) everything will be said.

Another base argument is GRACE

I remember vividly that war. It was bloody. A particular moniker has been known for his grace mantra. He was the focal point of the attack. Also a particular moniker made a statement that further escalate this GRACE WAR. I was at the receiving end. Cause I supported the cause. It was a noble one.

Some aesthetic wannabes attacked but we won.

Of course it left us with many casualties. As many of the Grace crew as we are called went underground and observed from our caves

This is a stronger counter than Twitter. But if we looked at the beginning when the creator of the thread started. He never mentioned whether grace did it or Ogun or Shrine did it.

This easily makes these ground a sinking one.

I don't know of anybody who will report sales on namepros and other international forum without revealing the name and he won't be called to order. This is the sane of the community.

This is a washed argument.

On namepros a beginner will ask why is a veteran is hidding names when it is being reported. Cause the community standard is you are to report the name.

When you decide to report a SALE then you loose the right to withdraw some certain fact about the domain. It better not to report at all.

Except there are exemption which has been stated earlier.

You can as well decide not to report at all and believe me everyone is fine with that.

The two place of safety is

1. Do not report at all. Those who are accusing you, their body go calm down. Na because they dey see small na why den dey shout.

2. Report ( But with full details)

10 months is nothing really, considering the armed robber profit margin we make.
Many of us want to be like, Icausetrouble (in terms of sales) but how many of us have 2.5yrs old names in our portfolio. Quality of names is important. Being ahead of trend is also key.
