Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by tofo(m): 12:13am On Jan 11, 2022
Hello All. I have two enquiries please.
1. Does an Ontario graduate certificate from Centennial, Conestoga or Mohawk college qualify one for a post graduate work permit ?

2. What is the major of a post graduate certificat compared to a post graduate diploma?

3. Cost aside, what college is best recommended amongst Centennial Conestoga and Mohawk?

Thank you

Hello All. Please my sister is set to resume at Vancouver Island University by January 4th for her MBA. We are looking at booking a flight for her for December 27th. Ethiopian Airlines seemed to be the cheapest but with the current crisis in the country, is it still a good choice? Also, what other cheal airline is advisable to book for her. She will be flying into Nanaimo, British Columbia. Thank you

Hi everyone.
Please see below response my sister got yesterday
Please note that her sponsor is my brother with sufficient funds. Fees of 15k CAD has already been paid.Account statement shows enough proof of funds to cather for her for the duration of her study.

See reasons stated below

Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your student permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:

Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.

Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.

Pursuant to paragraph 220(c) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the cost of transporting yourself and any family members who are accompanying you to and from Canada

Please advise if we can reapply as we have sufficient prove to show funds are available for her

My Application was rejected with the attached reason.
In my cover later, I explained thoroughly the inflow of 1.4 million as a bonus payment from my organization. This was even the narration of the credit. I transferred the money to my savings account and used it to buy treasury Bill's. I thoroughly detailed such including my other savings in the account. This is even outside the closing balance in my current account.
I uploaded family pics of my parents and I, their national IDs and the birth certificate including my car papers and house rent receipt to show home ties.

Please advise on what I need to do as all there is no significant inflow outside salary and the bonus mentioned above that is in my account and I provided all evidence to show such.
Can I appeal this decision as I believe my Cover letter was not read and my application was not thoroughly reviewed

Hello Everyone.
I submitted my Application on Octover 23rd and did my Biometric Capture on October 24th . Got an email same day that my passport has been dispatched to the DMC.

It is 15 working days today and 3weeks since I captured and I am yet to here from them.

Anyone in my shoes that captured same or around the same time.
P.S mine is the standard and not priority application.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Access Bank Calling For Aptitude Test (entry-level) (2014) by tofo(m): 9:45am On May 23, 2016
Seabree:
Its not a very good opportunity to be honest. I was on the verge of signing their training bond, and would be starting training school on the 25th of May, their requirements are outrageous. U have to get two sureties who would sign, that the bank can make reference to their accounts, and they would be able to pay 2m if u leave the bank before two years, and also they have to submit a 6months bank statement, and not just any surety or guarantor, they must be managers or directors in a finacial institution or blue chip multinational. And u are bonded for two years and if u breach the contract you will pay 2million. Finally u cannot operate any other account with another bank. And at the end of the training school u probably end up in marketing. Having thought about this, i wont be joining them in the training school.Better opportunities with less stress and better recruitment process, and pay are coming.

You havnt searched for a job, that's why you are saying all this trash. Who told your every body ends up in marketing. Access bank is one of the best place to start your career, alot of people would do anything just to get this job. I hope you realise soon what you are about to do. And the conditions are not too stringent. The training you would get is worth more than 2 million and it's the best in the country. Don't miss out on this oppurtunity of a life Time. Be wise!!!

Sup y'all....
This is my first time using this thread. I probably would have benefited more if i had followed the KPMG GT 2015 thread earlier, with respect to the Aptitude CBT > Essay > Documentation > Audit Assesment (1min Presentation + Group Assignment + Critical Reasoning + Interview) > Partner Interview.........

Now there is the wait, because i know no one that did PI the same day i did which was Monday 28th, September, 2015. And so with the delima of having not gotten instant result from my PI (as i am made to believe), panic entered and i turned to Google with the search "How long does one have to wait to get Partner Interview result KPMG" and that was how i found myself on NAIRALAND and on this thread.

So i ask these questions from the humble fore runners before us in this race and those that have done thier PI and gotten or awaiting result (preferably those that did on Monday 28th, September, 2015.
• What are the likely outcome for the wait?
• Has any one gotten result or offer letter since yesterday?
• If successful at the PI stage, can one fail Medicals?
• If successful at Medicals, can one still start this year (2015)?
• At what stage does BENCHMARKING come into the process?
• If not, when is the next intake for Audit?

Thanks as i await y'all prompt, helpful and nice responses!

The wait varies. I got a reply a week after my PI and I have been benchmarked for two weeks now.
So I think you should be patient. Some of my friends got a response a day after or two days as it varies.
I dnt knw if anyone has resumed after September 7th. I had my PI after September 7th though and I really hope I can join this year.

i have spoken to her calmly today and honestly it took a lil bit of discretion and wisom. but u see people dont know when and how to apply discretion at work, and from experience i have learnt that ladies tend to get overwhelmed or abuse positions given to them....
You have played your part bro and from what you have said, I can saay you have displayed maturity. I sincerely hope she comes around with time and behave like a professional.
All the best.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Can I Do? by tofo(m): 9:35pm On Sep 21, 2015
I feel you should talk things straight with her.be open and objective in your approach. Both of you are a team and you would be working together in the long run. So it's better you both talk things through and understand yourself better.
NB. Is there a possibility of joining the team. Am a recent graduate who just finished youth service.I have a thing for sales/marketing.
