Very easy problem to solve. Do not talk to either the agency or the PFA any longer. Go to the nearest PENCOM office to report. They will ask you to write a simple letter right there in their office and dispatch the letter to Abuja. Few days later, PENCOM Abuja will call you to confirm receipt of your complaint and give you the complaint number that they have opened a case file and will update you as they progress. It will be resolved in few days or weeks. Every employer fears having to deal with PENCOM. You will not only collect your full remittance, all the accrued interests that you should have been earning would be added. I am speaking from experience, I have done it twice now. Their Lagos office is inside Ikeja GRA.

When I left banking sector many years long I have a PFA with reasonable balance I tried maintain the PFA because of the huge balance as I gave it to my current Agency when issue of pension arises to start paying, I taught PFA is PFA in general but after a year of not receiving alerts from the PFA I gave my agency but seeing that the payment is on payslips, I consulted the PFA company I gave my agency, the prove beyond every reasonable doubt that they do not receive anything from my Agency that I should go and complain to my Agency, I went my Agency account office to complain my Agency brought a file saying I was one of those that have issue with my pension that I should go to LASPEC to complain that I do not receive my pension since it they started paying, getting to LASPEC they affirm that the issue is not in their side and besides the PFA I gave my Agency is not qualify to receive my pension in the state that I should go and open the one my colleagues are using and go back to my Agency to give them the newly opened PFA which I did with a written letter begging them to change my PFA to the new one and also pay all my backlogs into the new PFA but what they only did is that they indeed change the PFA to the new one but do not pay the back log, the month they change the PFA to the new one, I started receiving current pension without backlogs paid till date when I complain to the new PFA staff pursing the matter as he as said, he told me the backlogs is in the Accountant General office that they will pay it but till now that am typing this complain they haven't pay it, 3days ago I only received July pension without backlogs of a one whole full year. Still advice me on what to do please or should I continue writing letter to my Agency on the subject matter because I can't have a direct access to the Account General Office without my Agency involve or should I believe someone has eat the one year pension or backlogs because someone told me that the money will be somewhere hanging and rotating or showing indication on a system.

Try Stanbic IBTC or Standard Chartered Banks. I know those 2 sell Rands (maybe cos of their South African affiliations). Another option is to buy your PTA in USD and convert to Rands in South Africa. 3rd option is peer to peer.

Right time to build the strategy for 2021 is NOW. Take learnings from 2020 and the past and move on with a stronger resolve to build sustainable wealth. All the best, folks.

One very important part of crowdfunding is the use of a trustee. I hope SEC regulates these folks from 2021. Good I did not lose from TheMap, the 2/3 for early CRMi covered the gaps in other areas. I am also taking action to recoup some money from the company so I am hopeful. 2021 is another year and we move again, full scale, with deeper due diligence. Please note that 'they are paying regularly' is not proof that something will not go wrong. Visiting offices or farms and interacting with employees is not proof that something will not go wrong. Low or high return is not proof that something will not go wrong. 'I am investing early' is not a strategy. We need to analyse every case and be sure there are no red flags. Our strategy must be matured and process/system based. Near zero emotion. Portfolio diversification is key. Putting money in different buckets with different risk levels puts you in a good shape in case any of them runs down.

This townhall meeting is likely to be a zoom call and investors, employees and stakeholders are encouraged to attend. There are parts of the challenge that are system related and others that are people related. It is possible to resolve both and get back to business, pay investors and move on. I was at TheMap today. Could you please confirm YOU were physically present at this meeting and this message is not a copy and paste from another group or platform? I didn't see their MD or any of the senior managers there today but it could be that the meeting ended before I came in. This message is more positive than what I saw or experienced today. My outstanding payment that I went to their office to report last Friday when I got there today they asked me to be patient that it was not keyed in so I needed to give them the details all over again. This guy burnt goodwill of over two years in less than two months.

Thank you for your patience and steady communication while we were with the MD and top management of TheMap.ng earlier today.

The meeting held in Lekki and lasted for about 4 hours and below are some of the noted points.

1. The map is working round the clock to make payment for both GVs and requested refunds.

2. There is a communication disconnect between their team which they are trying to resolve and results are already manifesting.

3. The finance head made things difficult by not liasing with CRM officials and other department. Anyaso made us to understand that he has been removed and that there will be new improvements in payment.

4. They have hired more hands to help the invoice and finance team.

5. We are getting dedicated CRM officers to resolve our issues as long as you are a member of this group.

6. Other groups will be created and CRM officers assigned to them as well to help streamline dispute resolution.

7. They are working really hard to clear the backlogs. The Paystack integration is coming up soon.

8. The new website will incorporate a login portal for partners to be able to view their investments seamlessly.

9. External consultants have been contacted to resolve all the issues and help put the system in order to serve us better.

10. Partners who might not receive payment this week will get double payments next week to compensate for the backlog, in order to get the system on track.

11. However, we need to be patient with them. They are trying their best to correct the mistakes that has been done. There is no need to panic. It's hard but TheMap ng will come through but only if we stick with them and give them the necessary supports.

A colleague did 30 units of CRMi late September and went to convert the units to small business location last week. He called me few minutes ago that he got his first payment this morning. Let's keep hope alive.

I spoke with the guys at Brisk few days ago and they opened up that their primary business is forex trading. They 'added' agric and real estate to sound real and appear legit (this does not mean they are not but if they were, why do they need to camouflage?). They are also young people and experiences matter in investments such as this so whoever is interested must be very cautious. The deepest red flag for me is the speed and consistency of positive feedback received above. That nailed it for me. Brisk is a NO for me, unfortunately.

Yes, but those bank accounts (GTBank, UBA, FCMB) are recent (I think they opened them in September 2020). All these while, it was only one bank account they were using so when complaints were too many, they opened new accounts. They also reach their daily limits very quickly so they have to delay

I was in their office today. They were busy, all day, collating those who want to get refunded, those who want to switch and those with delayed payments. In the end, I understand the emotions but I will take a refund grudgingly rather than someone directly swindling me. They were wrong to launch something this big and be paying manually through a schedule to the bank (this was what they were doing up till this week). They were wrong to have only one bank account. They are wrong not to have a dashboard. They are wrong to have such a disorganised and distorted rates. I hope they have learnt some lessons and moving ahead this 'Paystack integration' will help them handle payments into wallets and dashboards.

However, away from all of these, I appreciate the openess (howbeit arrogant) to want to refund. If they had kept the money to try and manage the situation, it could ruin whatever business they are trying to build and if the pressure gets unbearable, the guy can disappear into thin air. Today, different people came in and the pressure was insane. It took a lot of talking to not disrupt business or beat the staff up.
