A FRENCH footballer has shocked the world with a series of bizarre claims – saying he had sex with his aunt and sister, and his mum was killed in a “spiritual sacrifice”. In video footage released online, Shiva N’Zigou, previously of French club Nantes, claimed his mother was killed in a “spiritual sacrifice” to further his footballing career. He also claimed he was also five years older – aged 39 – than it was thought, claiming his parents changed the D.O.B. on his birth certificate. Shiva goes on to claim he has had a number of homosexual affairs and incestuous relationships with both his aunt and his sister. He said: “I had [sexual] relations with my aunt. “These relations happened again with my sister. I slept with my sister. “I slept with a man. And I had another long-term relationship also with a man.” Shiva played for multiple football clubs, including French FC Nantes, and rounded off his career in 2016. The player partook in 24 matches as part of the national Gabonese squad from 2000 to 2008, netting five goals. Shiva is said to be the youngest player in the AFCON, reportedly making his debut at the age of 16. vanguardngr http://www.naijapoint.com.ng/2018/08/19/soccer-shocker-f…with-aunt-sister/

A construction worker and his fiancée say they rescued a sweating baby girl from a hot car after the child's parents overdosed on heroin. Eric Asher shared photos of his ordeal in Canton, Ohio on social media, provoking outrage from shocked viewers. The 43-year-old says he saw a man and a woman passed out on the ground of a parking lot as he drove past on Friday. He then noticed a baby girl sweating in a car seat as temperatures reached 88F (31C). 'We were driving down the road and I looked over to my right and I saw the male and female laying on the ground,' he told InsideEdition.com. 'We later saw that they were purple.' 'The child was covered in sweat. We gave the baby some water - that was our priority.' DailyMailonline http://www.naijapoint.com.ng/2018/08/16/drug-abuse-paren…om-heat-back-car/

Tragedy has struck in Arizona U.S. after a father decided to “take care of a situation” his own way by killing a man who attempted to enter a bathroom stall where his daughter was. Melvin Harris (L) kills Leon Armstrong (R) Police say Melvin Harris III faces a second-degree murder charge in the beating to death of Leon Leevon Armstrong, AZFamily.com reports. Harris was taken into custody earlier this month after the deadly encounter at a QuikTrip convenience store in Phoenix involving his 16-year-old daughter. The 40-year-old was waiting in the parking lot to pick up his daughter and two friends when Armstrong approached him asking for money. Harris gave him some change and Armstrong went into the store. Harris’ daughter came out of the store and told her father that a man tried to enter her bathroom stall by violently shaking the door, police said. She said she told the employees who alerted the security guard. She then identified Armstrong as the alleged harasser when she spotted him walking out of the store. Possibly thinking not enough was being done, Harris approached the security guard and told him to “take care of the situation, or he would do it himself.” The guard said the incident was being handled. The protective father, however, confronted Armstrong about the incident and then attacked him, authorities said. Witnesses told police Harris repeatedly stomped, punched and kicked the man. Harris fled the scene. Armstrong was taken to the hospital where he later died. He suffered brain swelling, a nasal fracture and loss of oxygen. Harris was arrested at his home. He later admitted he struck Armstrong in the face, but claims he didn’t throw the first punch, the report stated. He also denied hitting Armstrong when he was on the ground. Harris’ fiancee, Diana Jackson, told AZFamily.com that Harris was protecting his daughter. “I’m not mad at him. I don’t feel like he did anything wrong. I love him. He did what he was supposed to do for our kid. “You cannot tell someone they’re wrong for protecting their children. “I would have done the same thing. I don’t feel bad at all for his actions. I feel bad that the man ended up dying in the process. I do,” Jackson told the station. Jackson said it’s unfair her fiancé is being treated as a criminal for protecting his child. Armstrong reportedly also had a criminal history that included shoplifting, trespassing and obstructing justice. vanguardngr http://www.naijapoint.com.ng/2018/08/16/dad-kills-man-fo…nto-the-bathroom/

A 25-year-old Bolivian woman hanged her three children after making them record goodbye messages to their father on video, police reported Thursday. The woman hanged her one-year old baby, and her two other children aged four and seven, late Tuesday after a series of arguments with her husband, state prosecutor Oscar Vera told Los Tiempos newspaper. Police said the mother was being treated in hospital after taking poison. Regional police chief Colonel Johnny Corrales said the woman had become distraught over her husband’s drinking, “which is why she decided to hang her children and then tried to commit suicide.” “We know that there is a video where the children say goodbye to their dad,” said Vera, a prosecutor in the central city of Cochabamba, where the tragedy unfolded. A police forensic report said the children died of “mechanical strangulation.” The mother, who left a letter alleging mistreatment by her husband, was being treated in intensive care and unable to give statements to the police. Police said they had placed the father under preventive arrest. Bolivia’s public prosecutor’s office recently reported 37 cases of infanticide during the first six months of the year. CNN)As Katie Stubblefield brushed her fingers across her face, she could feel the wound. Her vision is greatly impaired due to her injury, but touching her face allowed her to feel what her doctors were working around the clock to treat. She could feel where her face was swollen. She could feel the portions that were missing. That was before Katie, at 21, became the youngest person in the United States to receive a face transplant. The transplant, performed last year, aims to restore Katie's face structure and functions -- such as chewing, breathing and swallowing -- which were lost in a severe gunshot injury, the haunting outcome of a suicide attempt as a teenager. Now, Katie hopes to use her historic surgery to raise awareness about the lasting harms of suicide and the precious value of life. She is featured on the cover of National Geographic magazine's September issue, which debuted Tuesday, in an article titled "The Story of a Face" and in National Geographic's full-length documentary "Katie's Face." 'I had no clue what a face transplant was' In the days prior to Katie's suicide attempt, she faced a number of emotional hurdles. She underwent surgery for chronic gastrointestinal problems, and she faced betrayal in a personal relationship. Around that time, Katie's mother, Alesia, was abruptly fired from a teaching job at Katie's school because Alesia "questioned several decisions that were made lacking integrity," Katie's father, Robb, told CNN. Asking for help The suicide rate in the United States has seen sharp increases in recent years. Studies have shown that the risk of suicide declines sharply when people call the national suicide hotline: 1-800-273-TALK. There is also a crisis text line. For crisis support in Spanish, call 1-888-628-9454. The lines are staffed by a mix of paid professionals and unpaid volunteers trained in crisis and suicide intervention. The confidential environment, the 24-hour accessibility, a caller's ability to hang up at any time and the person-centered care have helped its success, advocates say. The International Association for Suicide Prevention and Befrienders Worldwide also provide contact information for crisis centers around the world. On March 25, 2014, when Katie was 18, her older brother, Robert Stubblefield, heard the gunfire and found her after she harmed herself in a bathroom at his home in Mississippi. He was devastated. Katie doesn't remember that tragic day when she lost her face. She has said that she doesn't remember much of that year -- including being hospitalized in Oxford, Mississippi; being flown to another hospital in Memphis, Tennessee; and then being transferred to Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, where she would undergo her face transplantation three years later. It was in Memphis where Katie's parents, Robb and Alesia, heard the term "face transplant" for the first time. "There was an older trauma surgeon who basically told us, 'It's the worst wound that I've ever seen of its kind,' and he said, 'The only thing I can think of that would really give her functional life again is a face transplant,' " Robb said. "I was standing there thinking, 'What do you mean, a face transfer? What do you do?' " When Katie was later told about the possible procedure, she said, she was equally stunned. "I had no clue what a face transplant was," Katie said. "When my parents helped explain everything to me, I was very excited to get a face again and to have function again." At left, Katie Stubblefield at 17, eight months before attempting suicide. At right, Katie at 22, one year and one month after her surgery. Full and partial face transplants are medical procedures that involve replacing all or parts of a person's face with donated tissue, including skin, bone, nerves and blood vessels from a deceased donor. Katie's procedure involved transplanting the scalp, forehead, upper and lower eyelids, eye sockets, nose, upper cheeks, upper jaw and half of lower jaw, upper teeth, lower teeth, partial facial nerves, muscles and skin -- effectively replacing her full facial tissue, according to Cleveland Clinic. The world's first successful full face transplant was conducted at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, Spain, in 2010. As for where Katie fits in, "only 40 people in the world have ever had a face transplant, and we believe that she is the 39th person," said Susan Goldberg, editor-in-chief of National Geographic magazine. "We think her story is one of the most important stories that we will do this year," Goldberg said of the magazine. "We thought it was just such a moving and inspiring story that is about everything from human journey to breakthrough medicine and science." 'You take it for granted, the different components of our faces' Before Katie's face transplantation, surgeons at Cleveland Clinic used 3D printing to help reconstruct about 90% of her lower jaw, said Dr. Brian Gastman, a plastic surgeon at Cleveland Clinic who led Katie's surgery and oversaw her care. The surgical team used CT scans of the jaw of Katie's older sister, Olivia McCay, to 3D-print a model template for the reconstruction. "We made a plate designed for the combination of Katie and her sister's jaw, and that's what we used to make Katie's jaw before we did the transplant," Gastman said. He noted that when he first saw Katie's injury, he worried that she might not live. A surgical resident carefully cradles Katie's head to keep it still as she's situated in the intensive care unit after the 31-hour procedureconcluded. To protect her eyes, her eyelids were sutured shut. With the transplant complete, Katie would still require additional operations and many months of rehabilitation. In March 2016, Katie was placed on the waiting list for a face transplant. Fourteen months later, a donor was found: Adrea Schneider, a 31-year-old woman who died of a drug overdose, National Geographic reported. Before the procedure, Katie underwent extensive psychological evaluation as a face transplant candidate and suicide survivor. After she was cleared to receive her new face, the 31-hour surgery began May 4, 2017. It involved 11 surgeons, several other specialists and virtual reality. The surgery was completed the next day. "I am able to touch my face now, and it feels amazing," said Katie, who still has some difficulty speaking clearly. Her father, Robb, translated some of her sentiments: "You take it for granted, the different components of our faces -- the bone, the tissue, the muscle, everything -- but when it's gone, you recognize the big need. Then when you receive a transplant, you're so thankful." Nine months and 22 days before Katie's face transplant, at Cleveland's Tudor Arms Hotel, Katie and her father sing "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?" as they share a dance. "Before this, I never spent so much time with my parents," said Katie, who credits their love and devotion with helping to save her life. Katie was discharged from Cleveland Clinic on August 1, 2017. She takes immunosuppressive drugs to reduce her risk of transplant rejection, which occurs when a transplant recipient's immune system attacks the transplanted organ or tissue. She will continue to take the medication for the rest of her life. Katie also continues physical and occupational therapy, works with a speech therapist and takes Braille lessons. "I'm definitely taking many, many daily steps," Katie said of her rehab progress, adding that her family has been a big help in her recovery and that her faith has kept her strong. "Life is precious, and life is beautiful," she said. Face transplantation is considered experimental, and insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid don't cover it. A grant from the US Department of Defense, through the Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine, covered Katie's transplant, according to National Geographic. The institute works to develop advanced treatment options -- including face transplantation -- for severely wounded servicemen and -women. "I remember Dr. Gastman mentioned to me, he said basically that Katie was kind of the quintessential potential candidate for a face transplant. One, because of the type of wound that she suffered, but also she is in that age bracket of so many soldiers," Robb said. "She's in that late-teen to early 20s, where so many young soldiers are being wounded and injured." While Katie's medical care team hopes that her surgery can advance the field of face transplantation, there are many other hopes for her future. Katie plans to attend college online soon, possibly followed by a career in counseling and motivational speaking. She hopes to raise awareness about suicide and suicide prevention. (CNN)India's first all-female Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team took to the streets of New Delhi this week as the country marked 71 years of independence. The SWAT team will be part of the city's police force and responsible for providin g support during hostage crises, terrorist attacks and other high-profile threats in the Indian capital, police said. The team's deployment is remarkable in a country that performs poorly in gender-specific measures of workforce inclusivity. India ranks 120 among 131 countries in female labor force participation rates, according to the World Bank. In 2017, about 28% of Indian women between the ages of 15 and 64 had a job or were actively looking for one, compared with 82% of men in the same age group. Women made up about 7.2% of the total Indian police force last year, according to India's Bureau of Police Research and Development. SWAT team members drill in New Delhi. India's first ever all-women SWAT team was deployed for Independence Day celebrations. Members of the team are equipped with MP5 submachine guns and AK-47 rifles, and have been trained in Krav Maga, a form of martial arts used by the Israel Defense Forces. They stood on guard Wednesday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Independence Day from the historic Red Fort in northern Delhi. Women make up less than 10% of India's total police force. Pramod Kushwaha, a senior official with the Delhi Police, said the force believes having an all-female SWAT team is "a good message that we can send." "They've been trained for fifteen months," he added, three months longer than non-SWAT team officers. "They've been trained in commando operations, jungle warfare, urban warfare, hostage crisis situations, stress situations -- all commando tactics, they've been trained in that." Kushwaha said the women are "at par, and in certain cases, I found they're much better than our male commandos." "They're extremely fit, extremely professional. I can say with confidence that given any situation, I'll be using them first," he added. Members of the SWAT team pose for a photo. They were trained for 15 months before being deployed for the first time. Rajnath Singh, India's home minister, also praised the women, saying that it is no small feat for such young officers to perform with a high level of alertness, attention and efficiency. http://www.naijapoint.com.ng/2018/08/15/indias-first-all…rst-in-the-world/

Small girl small brain! Maturity before marriage is advisable! |
CNN) A new grand jury report says that internal documents from six Catholic dioceses in Pennsylvania show that more than 300 "predator priests" have been credibly accused of sexually abusing more than 1,000 child victims. "We believe that the real number of children whose records were lost or who were afraid ever to come forward is in the thousands," the grand jury report says. "Priests were raping little boys and girls, and the men of God who were responsible for them not only did nothing; they hid it all. For decades. Monsignors, auxiliary bishops, bishops, archbishops, cardinals have mostly been protected; many, including some named in this report, have been promoted." The grand jury described the church's methods as "a playbook for concealing the truth" after FBI agents identified a series of practices they found in diocese files. The lengthy report, released Tuesday afternoon, investigates clergy sexual abuse dating to 1947 in six dioceses: Allentown, Erie, Greensburg, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Scranton. Pennsylvania's two other dioceses, Philadelphia and Altoona-Johnstown, have been the subjects of earlier grand jury reports, which found similarly damaging information about clergy and bishops in those dioceses. There have been other reports about child sex abuse within the Catholic Church. But never on this scale," the grand jurors wrote in Tuesday's report. "For many of us, those earlier stories happened someplace else, someplace away. Now we know the truth: it happened everywhere." The grand jurors said that "almost every instance of abuse we found is too old to be prosecuted." But charges have been filed against two priests, one in Erie diocese and another in Greensburg diocese, who have been accused of abusing minors. "We learned of these abusers directly from their dioceses -- which we hope is a sign that the church is finally changing its ways," the grand jurors said. "And there may be more indictments in the future; investigation continues." At a news conference announcing the report's release, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro called it the "largest, most comprehensive report into child sexual abuse within the Catholic Church ever produced in the United States." Molestations and rapes At times, the lengthy catalog of clergy sexual abuses in the report is difficult to read. As the grand jurors note, priests and other Catholic leaders victimized boys and girls, teens and pre-pubescent children. Some victims were plied with alcohol and groped or molested, the report says. Others were orally, vaginally or anally raped, according to the grand jurors. "But all of them were brushed aside, in every part of the state, by church leaders who preferred to protect the abusers and their institution above all." Among the more egregious cases, the grand jury reports that: • In the Greensburg diocese, a priest impregnated a 17-year-old, forged a pastor's signature on a marriage certificate and divorced the girl months later. According to the grand jury, the priest was allowed to stay in ministry by finding a "benevolent bishop." • Another priest in Greensburg groomed middle-school students for sex, according to the grand jury, by telling them that Mary had to "bite off the cord" and "lick" Jesus clean after the Nativity. • In Harrisburg, a priest abused five sisters from the same family and collected samples of their urine, pubic hair and menstrual blood. • Also in Harrisburg, a priest raped a 7-year-old girl who was in the hospital after her tonsils were removed, according to the report. • In Pittsburgh, church officials said that a 15-year-old boy "pursued" and "literally seduced" a priest. A church report later acknowledged that the priest had admitted to "sado-masochistic" activities with several boys. • In the Allentown diocese, a priest admitted sexually molesting a boy and pleaded for help, according to documents, but was left in ministry for several more years. • Also in Allentown, a priest who had abused several boys, according to the grand jury, was given a recommendation to work at Disney World. • In Scranton, a priest who later served prison time for abusing children was found to have been HIV-positive for years. Tuesday's news conference began with a short video of three victims who told how they were abused and how it changed their lives. An 83-year-old man said he couldn't show any affection to his wife and children as a result of the abuse he suffered. A woman said the abuse started when she was 18 months old. Another man said, "When you have the priest touching you every day, that's a hard memory to have. The first erection that you have is at the hands of a priest." The victims said this was "not a vendetta against the church" and that abusers have "to be accountable in the church for what they did." 'Grave failings' The grand jury's searing report comes as the Catholic Church, including Pope Francis, is struggling to contain a sexual abuse scandal rapidly consuming the church on several continents. In Australia, a bishop has been found guilty of covering up sexual abuse. In Chile, the Pope was forced to recant his dismissal of an abuse scandal involving a prominent priest and bishops accused of covering up his crimes. And in the United States, a prominent archbishop was removed from the powerful College of Cardinals following reports that he had molested a teenage altar boy and several others while he was rising through the church's ranks. Meanwhile, bishops in Boston and Nebraska are investigating possible cases of sexual abuse in Catholic seminaries. "The report of the Pennsylvania grand jury again illustrates the pain of those who have been victims of the crime of sexual abuse by individual members of our clergy, and by those who shielded abusers and so facilitated an evil that continued for years or even decades," Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and Bishop Timothy L. Doherty, chair of the bishops' Committee for the Protection of Children and Young People, said in a statement. "As a body of bishops, we are shamed by and sorry for the sins and omissions by Catholic priests and Catholic bishops." The Vatican declined to comment on the grand jury report. DiNardo and Doherty noted that the grand jury's report spans 70 years, and many of the abuse accusations were made before 2002, when the bishops adopted new policies. The policies, known as the Dallas Charter, after the city in which they were adopted, have been revised in 2011 and 2018. The charter, the bishops said, "commits us to respond promptly and compassionately to victims, report the abuse of minors, remove offenders and take ongoing action to prevent abuse." For weeks, many Catholics in the United States had been warily waiting for the Pennsylvania grand jury's report, especially as bishops in the state began publicly releasing the names of accused clergy in an apparent attempt to preempt some of the report's findings. A car crashed into barriers outside Britain’s Houses of Parliament in a suspected terror attack on Tuesday, injuring a “number of pedestrians” yards from where five people were killed last year. Police said they had arrested the driver, in his late 20s, and were holding him on suspicion of terrorist offences. “At this stage, we are treating this as a terrorist incident,” said Scotland Yard, adding that none of the injuries are believed to be “life-threatening”. Footage shows the silver Ford Fiesta veering across an intersection, hitting a number of cyclists and pedestrians, before speeding into a barrier outside the Houses of Parliament at 7.37 am (0637 GMT). Another recording shows injured cyclists and pedestrians lying in the street in the immediate aftermath of the incident. Armed officers swooped in to arrest the driver, removing him from the vehicle at gunpoint. Later images showed police holding the man, dressed in jeans and a black puffer jacket, in handcuffs as roads and Underground stations around parliament were sealed off. “The driver of the car, a man in his late 20s… was arrested on suspicion of terrorist offences,” said police. “There was nobody else in the vehicle, which remains at the scene and is being searched. No weapons have been recovered at this stage.” – ‘Looked intentional’ – Police have yet to identify the suspect, who was not cooperating with detectives, said Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu. London Ambulance said they had treated a man and a woman at the scene and taken them to hospital. The man was later discharged, while the woman remained in hospital, where she was being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to Basu. Prime Minister Theresa May, currently in Switzerland, tweeted that her “thoughts are with those injured in the incident in Westminster”. Government officials will hold a meeting of the emergency Cobra committee at 2.00 pm. Witness Ewalina Ochab told the Press Association that the incident “looked intentional”. “I was walking on the other side. I heard some noise and someone screamed,” she said. “I turned around and I saw a silver car driving very fast close to the railings, maybe even on the pavement. “I think it looked intentional — the car drove at speed and towards the barriers.” – ‘Loud bang’ – Eyewitness Jason Williams, 45, also said that the incident looked deliberate. “I saw a car going at high speed towards Parliament. It hit a bollard,” he told the Press Association. “It didn’t look like an accident. How do you do that by accident? It was a loud bang.” Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said “all Londoners, like me, utterly condemn all acts of terrorism on our city. “The response of Londoners today shows that we will never be cowed, intimidated or divided by any terrorist attack,” he said. Westminster was the scene of a terror attack last year, when Khalid Masood, a 52-year-old British convert to Islam, drove a car at pedestrians on a bridge over the River Thames, before fatally stabbing a policeman on guard outside parliament. The attack left five people dead and around 50 injured, and only ended when police shot Masood dead. Britain endured a tumultuous period following the March 22 rampage, with four further terror attacks within months. Twenty-two people — including children — were killed in a bomb attack at Manchester Arena on May 22 and eight people were killed weeks later when a van ploughed into people on London Bridge. Far-right extremist Darren Osborne killed one man after ramming his van into Muslim worshippers in north London on June 19, while 51 people were injured when Ahmed Hassan, 18, planted an explosive device, that partially exploded on an Underground train. There are many reasons couples are killing themselves. The reasons are lack of understanding, impatience, lack of self-control, lack of trust, and some wives are not contented. Most couples don’t put God in their families. Only a few understand themselves, have self-control, trust, and true love. Couples should always be contented. Mrs. Mfom Owonieudoh, Teacher Increase in cases of couples killing themselves is something to really look into. No nation can develop without stable families. Before anyone marries, the person should do his home work. People should study their partners. A failed relationship is better than a failed marriage. Someone cannot just wake up one day and kill a person he or she professed to love. It takes a long process. I think couples should open up to themselves and be quick to forgive each other. No one should resort to killing. http://www.naijapoint.com.ng/2018/08/13/what-is-your-take-on-rising-cases-of-couples-killing-themselves/

On Sunday 05/08/18, around 7:30 pm, a family made a break through discovery of a strong Ijebu Juju that the Ijebu landlord had used to tie them on one spot, where they were making no progress, sicknesses, death and infirmities were the only recurring thing in their lives. As the man, wife and son reclined on the pavement of the veranda in front, the wife saw some threads poking out of the ground, from the impact of erosion; she playfully pulled, revealing a strong Ijebu Juju; a tiny pot weaved round with white threading, placed by the entrance door, whereby every person entering or leaving the house must pass over it. It was surprises, curses and thanksgiving mixed together as the family recollected that the last Redeemed church Pastor that left the apartment eventually lost his wife after series of unexplained sicknesses and fainting spells, and that they too had gone through a 5 year long drought, poverty, sicknesses and violence from Niger Delta Ijaw boys. The family eventually burnt the Juju and are keen on relocating from Ajegunle Ikorodu. It is celebration times for them. Praise God somebody!!!

Another employment source, like in Uganda, is the Vanilla bean cultivation for export to America, Europe and India. It is very lucrative, as reported in the Ugandan case below: Armed thieves besiege farms to steal vanilla pods which are later sold off to unscrupulous brokers. Farmers in Kasese, in the country’s west are forced to arm themselves or hire security guards to deter vanilla hunters. Thus, rising prices of vanilla on the global market have become a threat to farmers in Uganda rather than a blessing. Uganda produces about 150 metric tons of processed vanilla annually, most of which is sold in the United States, India and the United Kingdom. A kilo of unprocessed vanilla sells for about 67 dollars locally. So, the germane questions will be; Can Vanilla grow in Nigeria? Yes (Google) 2. Where can I get the plant to cultivate it? Plant Research Centres- Ibadan, etc; import from Uganda.
