Politics › Re: Diasporans Contribute More To Nigeria's GDP Than 34 Of Its 36 States by Tolexander: 5:38pm On Mar 17, 2013
Biafra rep: You can't compare them, what is the GDP of Ilorin/Offa/Kabba? Can you compare them to the GDP ofAsaba/P.H/Agbor/Obigbo and the oil wells in these places?
sorry! I think i have to stop arguing with you cos you don't represent the standard you are expected.
If oil well is the criteria, why does bayelsa have to be in that position it is. Get back to study GDP.

Education › Re: Nigerian Boarding School Experiences by Tolexander:
As a guy that spent a just 3 terms in the boarding school, think i have little experience to share:

My sole aim joining the boarding was just because if you weren't a boarder, you didn't belong to the clique of biggies in school. And no gurl would agree dating any day student unless one gat real swaggs to beat the boarders.

those days in school, we were not allowed to cook but we would sneak a boiling ring into the hostel from home, climb into the ceiling and peel the electric wire, connect the boiling ring to the peeled wire to boil water in the ceiling.
Any of the neighbouring hen or fowl that enters into the school compound would be killed, prepared and steamed with our boiling ring in the bournvita can.

The bathrooms are just unabathable to be mild so also the toilets. Early in the morning, we would go out to the back of the hostel to bath outside.
Those gurls also bathed outside early in the morning. My friends and I would go peeping at them when bathing and we would start analysing them in class and hostel.

What cut my hostel duration short was when my 2 friends and their girlfriends, my girlfriend and i sneaked out of school to a club in the evening. We didn't know our principal also clubs there. The principal saw us without us being aware he was there and the following day, called us out on the assembly, told us to prostrate and spanked us with many strokes of pankere(one hausa stick). We were then suspended from the hostel and never to return.

Congrats gurl! You are lucky to be among the the nigerians that was able to escape the nigerian corrupt atmosphere to prove your academic potential elsewhere. Unlike some whose potentials are still being quenched here.
Education › Re: Nigerian Tinuade Okoro Is The Best Medical Student In Ghana by Tolexander:
Congrats TINUADE, may your light continue to glow.

That is one of the lucky nigerians.
Am sure there are many other nigerian students that have a better academic potential but have been quenched by nigerian corruption system.

Politics › Re: What Part Of The Country Will Experience Rapid Growth If It Should Disintegrate? by Tolexander:
My perception on the 6 geopolitical zones.
The north in general seems to have forgotten their mainstay which used to be agriculture to the nigerian dependence on oil.
They still have the advantage of the large land mass they have for agriculture if they can go back to the board.
But the great disadvantage that will nearly break their jaw is the access to sea(being landlocked).

Southwest has crude oil and bitumen in ondo state, relatively large landmass for agriculture in many parts of the region, access to sea. But the problem that may face them is how to filter the foreigners that will decide to dwell in the region.

I don't really see the south south as a potential nation but region of many nations due to cultural differences. They have the crude oil which the whole of nigeria depends. But the problem that they may likely face is invasion by the south east and differences among them.

South east has a human potential but may be faced with overcrowding, relatively small land mass and access to sea. Though they have commercial centre in onitcha and petty manufacturing centre in aba.

The survival is base on the use and disuse principle anyway.

Duru1: Biafrans did not surrender and never surrendered to Yoruba army or Oodua Republic peasants. It is inherent that Yoruba tend to arrogate everything to them selves. I am not surprised that a jackass such as you believed a Yoruba man was Nigerian army. After all, one loudmouthed Yoruba peep had publically claimed that Yoruba won the civil war for Nigeria.

Biafra rep: Dont go there brother, kogi west(Kabba zone) and Yoruba parts of kwara are just bushes, they contribute very little in terms of GDP
mr man, what other places in kwara state apart from Ilorin and offa are developed? Or it isn't in the north central. And besides what is the contribution of the anioma people of delta north senatorial district? Why you guys always lay claim to the developement of other regions why yours is just like a cave?

Now let me tell you that I am very much impressed by the performance of SE states, yes, despite lack of federal presence in the SE and Igbos investing heavily in other states of the federation, they still performed well.

Politics › Re: U.S Threatens Sanctions Against Nigeria Over Pardon For Ex-convict Alamieyeseigh by Tolexander: 8:12am On Mar 16, 2013
Why would the nigerian government accuse the US of meddlesomeness just because they interfered in the pardon saga of the corrupt citizens. Guess it would have been fair if the government had returned the US donation to nigeria.
A father has the right to interfere into the life of his son because he donated financially and psychologically to the growth and developement to the son. Perhaps he will have nothing to say if no contribution is done. Just like nigeria couldn't make any statement when US gave the pardon to her own citizens because nigeria had no donation to their wellbeing.
