Politics › Re: Reuben Abati On Alamiyeseigha in 2005 by Tolexander:
Very unfortunate that many Nigerians are men of circumstances that are only ruled by that present situation that overwhelmed them. Not only Mr Abati, there are also some nigerians:
Mr Femi Fani Kayode: he criticized Obasanjo during his early days in office. But after this man was called upon an offered a ministerial role, he started singing the praises of Obasanjo to the public. Wonder why he would accept an offer from an administration he sees very corrupt.

2 El Rufai: this is a man that was made the minister of federal capital territory during Obasanjo's administration. He didn't voice out when Obasanjo was making the 3rd term bid. Stayed in the corridor of power winning and dining with obasanjo. Just because Obasanjo is no more in power and to revive his own political carrier and ambition, that is when he had to fault and raised the dead third term bid of the then president. There is a high tendency that had the third term bid successful, he would gladly accept any ministerial role offered to him by the successful third term administration.

The problem now is not only about Mr Ruben Abati but mentality of average nigerian populace that feel they have to support and praise where they belong and criticize the other people at the other end of the 39th parallel.

We all have to realise that present events are recorded to be an anchor or guilde for our future act.

The 1year is a waste, adding another another one year waste to the existing waste.
If that is their plan, then there should be an improvement in the already existing program and not be only teaching which the majority of them are doing so that at the end of the program, they would be counting their experiences and not boredom.

Politics › How We Broke Out Of Prisonto Form Robbery Gang –suspects by Tolexander(op): 7:16am On Mar 13, 2013
A 30-year-old robbery
suspect, Ejike Nkennachor
shocked police detectives
recently in Lagos when he
boldly narrated how he
masterminded a prison
break at the Maximum
Prisons, Shagamu, Ogun
State, to form a notorious
robbery gang that specializes
in snatching exotic cars. The
stocky-black suspect from
Asaba, Delta state went
further to state that he was
frustrated with the slow
nature of justice in the
judiciary and that was why
he encouraged other
inmates to join him in
breaking out of the prison.
Ejike, as he is popularly
called, who spoke with Crime
Alert after he was arrested
with two others in Laqgos
and Oyo states by operatives
of the Special Anti-Robbery
Squad,SARS, Ikeja, Lagos
State, said they capitalized on
the arrest of cult members in
the area to plan the jail
break.
The State Commissioner of
Police Umar Manko, while
Parading the suspects before
newsmen said, the officer in-
charge of SARS, Abba Kyari
arrested the suspects after
he got information that the
gang snatched a Toyota
Camry saloon car from a
woman in Ilorin, Kwara State
and took it to Ibadan where
they hope to sell the car to a
ready buyer.
According to the Police boss,
Kyari and his men proceeded
to Ibadan and apprehended
one of the suspects called
Samuel in a popular hotel.
They then used him in
apprehending the leader of
the gang, Ejike and one other
member called, Dada.
Cp Manko disclosed that two
locally- made single barrel
pistols, twenty live cartridges,
an unregistered Toyota
Camry Saloon Car, Toyota
Carina with registration
number, KWL 753 AJ and one
Land Rover Free Lander Jeep
with Reg No AGL 672 AP,
were recovered from the
suspects.
ARMS & AMMUNITION:
Assault rifles, ammunition
and bomb making items
recovered by men of the
Nigerian Army in the house
of a politician, Hon.
Hussaini Dei Dei,along
Sabon Birni Road, Kawo, in
ARMS & AMMUNITION
The leader of the gang, Ejike
Nkennachor told Crime Alert
that he led his cell mates to
breakout of the Maximum
Prison due to the slow
nature of Ogun State
judiciary. The suspect
explained that he had spent
a long time at the prison and
does not want to spend the
whole of 2013 in the prison.
According to him; “When I
was arrested in 2008 at the
state Criminal Investigations
Department, Panti, Yaba,
Lagos for car snatching, I
was charged to court but
members of my family paid
money to a lawyer that
secured my release. I spent
only four months at the Ikoyi
prison and my case was
discharged for want of
evidence.
After my release, I went back
to car snatching because I
know my family will always
come for me. I did it for
some time and I snatched
several exotic cars including
a Mercedes Benz car that
was valued around N12
million but I sold it for
N800,000 to my receiver at
Asaba, Delta State.
Then, I avoided Lagos State
and I and members of my
gang, were operating in
Ogun State. Unfortunately
for me, I was arrested by
Ogun State special anti-
robbery squad,SARS, after I
stole a car. They caught me
driving the stolen car at
Shagamu and they
intercepted it and later sent
me to prison.
My stay at the prison was
quite very long and the
judiciary in the state did not
help matters. Luckily, there
was this fight between
members of
confraternity and the Eye
confraternity and a lot of
them were arrested and
remanded in the same cell
with me at Shagamu Prison.
At that time, I was terribly
frustrated. The cult boys told
me that they don’t want to
spend the new year in the
prison. I told them not to
worry that I had a plan. On
the eve of the new year,
members of my cell and
those from another cell
started a protest and we
fought the warders on duty
at the prison.
We dug a big hole on the
prison wall and we escaped
from there. Some of us were
killed while trying to escape
but I succeeded and ran to
Ikorodu. I contacted my
family members and
informed them about my
escape. They begged me to
come back to my home town
at Asaba and I refused. I
contacted Samuel and
informed him that I was out
of prison and he was very
happy.
I then informed him that I
will be relocating to kwara
State where I will form a new
gang, he accepted. I
contacted Emmanuel Dada
and one of our police friends
and we robbed some cars.
But the one that got me into
real trouble was the one we
robbed at Tanke-Ilorin,
Kwara State.
We instructed Samuel to look
for a buyer for us in Ibadan
and we were called to come
to Lagos to collect the money
for the car. That was how we
were arrested. I wish I had
listened to my family not to
return to this crime. I wish I
will be given a second
chance.” he pleaded.

Politics › Reps Probe Allegeddeportation Of Israeli’sconstruction Worker by Tolexander(op): 11:12pm On Mar 12, 2013
ABUJA—THE House of
Rep Representative was
Tuesday told how an Israeli
construction worker in Edo
State was hurriedly deported
to his country following his
alleged revelation that the
popular five junctions in
Benin City was being
reconstructed by the Edo
State government contrary to
claims that it was the Federal
Government.
The construction worker
with the Reynolds
Construction Company, RCC,
Mr Yaniv Dabah, was said to
have clarified to members of
the Good Governance Team
led by the Information
Minister, Laraban Maku in
Benin City that the contract
was awarded by the Adams
Oshiomhole-led
administration contrary to
the claims by the Federal
Government that it was
executing it.
However, the House ordered
the investigations following
a motion brought by Razaq
Bello-Osagie from EdoState.
Bello-Osagie had through his
report tagged: “Motion
about the deportation of an
Israeli, Mr Yaniv Dabah
working for RCC, handling
the popular Five Junction in
Benin City,’’ noted the unfair
treatment meted to the
Israeli.
Leading the debate, he
noted: “during the recent
good governance tour led by
the Minister of Information,
the erroneous impression
was created that the popular
five junctions reconstructed
by the Governor Adams
Oshiomhole-led
administration was a federal
project.
But on further inquiry the
Governor of Edo State in
company of the contractors
handling the project, Messrs
Reynolds Construction
Company, RCC, it was clarified
by the company through one
Mr Yaniv Dabah, that the
project was being financed
by the Edo State government,
which includes
reconstruction of the
Junction and its adjoining
roads, erosion control and
beautification which was
awarded by the Edo State
government and paid for by
the government.
‘’RCC said that it was re-
constructing the project for
Edo State government but
shortly after the clarification
which all parties ougt to
have taken in good faith, the
said Dabah was
subsequently deported from
Nigeria under very
suspicious circumstance.
This portends grave
consequence for the
completion of the project.
“People should not be
sacrificed for telling the truth
to the world. He should not
have been deported or
sacrificed. This is clearly an
evidence of executive
rascality.”
Deputy Speaker of the House
of Representatives, Emeka
Ihedioha who presided over
the House while ruling on
the matter, directed that the
committees on Interior,
Foreign Affairs and Works
should interface with all the
parties involved to unravel
the circumstances
surrounding the alleged
deportation of Dabah.

Base on today's antecedence, seems Alamiesegha has a political ambition, either senate or house of representative. Without being pardoned, he won't be able to contest. That is the sole reason why GEJ did what he did today.

The bible doesn't signify trousers forbidden for female. It is the culture of the land in which one exists that made it defined as a male's dress. Since the culture of NYSC made trousers compulsory for female, violation of the rule is a disobedience which is punishable under law and God's commandment.

Facebook is a social site. When one talks about any social gathering, it doesn't mean you need being official or try following any formal protocol concerning your name, address, profile or the modus operandi of their characters. One is free to write his name anyhow and act anyhow so far it doesn't violate the rules and regulation binding the handlers and also the action that is against the sociality and relationship with his other colleagues or anybody emotionally, psychologically and morally on the social site.
The 'defaced' name may be for security reasons now. Or is facebook a site for formal and official matters in which you must be formal and official with every detail?
The writer fell prey of argumentum ad ignorantium, hasty conclusion, hasty generalization for saying the act is peculiar to the yorubas. What does she know about other tribes? what does she understand about their alphabets, names and the alphabetic characters of their names?

I remember when we used to stay in that kind of house as a tenant in the early to mid 90s.
Our landlord's home is the only home with video. All of us would go there and sit on the bare floor, including some women that were lazy forming an housewives. Some would even stand by the window. After the film, we would all troup out of the landlord's sitting room just like an home time for the primary school pupils. We dared not abuse the landlord's sons and daughters cos they wouldn't allow us to enter to watch film in their house until after we've begged them and bribe them.

A landlord son then impregnated three daughters of a tenant and another 5 ladies of another 5 tenants almost at the same time all in the name of 'bro Lati we want to watch film' when we've all gone to our primary schools.

In the evening, we would hear a sound on our roof. We always wondered what was happening but one day we discovered it was a guy from a neighbouring house to inform one of the lady tenants to come for congo shining.
