Wanted to start the Traveln process.

I have B.TECH in Biochemistry, but have only worked in my field for 6months since 2105(after nysc)...Now, am teaching in a private school.

I have gotten my passport and I have a trade test certificate (fashion designer).

Where do I start from, please!

let me attempt this: am assuming you are below 30 years.....you need to evaluate your Btech with WES or IQAS or ICES....while doing that you will sit for IELTS and aim for 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 (listening,reading,writing n speaking ) respectively...you need to achieve this because you have only BTech....then during your nysc if you also teach that will be good....you can use that combined with your current teaching experience if the total is 2 yrs or above ....you are in good position to qualify for PR through Canada express entry.....this is just a skeletal write-up...just click on page 0 of this page you will get detailed information on evaluation n ielts...

expect it anytime from 23rd....since it's UK it can be earlier

Who has been invited previously? What was the experience like? Will these documents be retained for verification? What do I expect? Please help a sister.

this is my opinion and from what have read....nothing to worry about...just go with those documents and even your passports as well cos you about to clinch your PR....check @toyogirl handle from page 0 she was invited for interview too.....all the best....

@Ifeoma77...WES does not require your certificate for evaluation. All they need is your transcript. I am also shocked my transcript has not gotten to WES aswell. My school in the UK said i will take atleast 3weeks for it to be delivered bearing in mind i used standard delivery. This week will be second week

if royalmail was used...maximum is 7days....mine got to WES within that period though it might take WES additional 3 working days to update the profile

Yes it can be done by proxy...but you have to get your thumb print done on their form then others can be done on your behalf....you will need a passport photo n biodata page of passport too....better go to the police headquarters in your state...they can help you out but it might take days except only in Lagos which takes a day cos that's where virtually PCC is done.

Just got off the phone with my school I requested for, and paid for transcripts to be sent to WES since late march. They haven't sent it.
Oh well, better late than never

sorry to hear about that....one advantage is that once they send your transcript...WES won't ask for verification and faster evaluation which means before May ending all things being equal you will have your ECA

you might have to do a follow up if not now...during the verification you will have....I will suggest you pop in the school to get the info and if it's getting difficult have seen someone on this thread post a contact for the unilag but I don't know the person's handle but am sure help will surface here...

CONGRATS....I will suggest you request for an extension cos am not sure you will get your passport back before your spouse travel to France...another thing consider the training duration when requesting for extension...I have read you can get up to 45 days....

1. During NYSC, my job was from March 2012 - February 2013. Orientation was March 2012 and POP was February 2013. Does this still count as 1 year?
2. If yes to the above, it means i only need reference letter for my NYSC work experience since it’s my primary NOC, yes?

if am not mistaken read @glitteringstar or @ethelia posts I think one of them used nysc experience as their NOC.....for number 2 you get reference letter for that alone

please it's advise for 1 to do police character report before visa employment visa is out. and where can someone who reside in Lagos do the police character report ....... to the gurus there

just find your way to ikoyi....police CID headquarters very close to immigration office and you will get it within an hour....hold around 7k cos na negotiation things...don't forget your passport photo n international passport biodata or passport itself

I will suggest you update as soon as possible...you can never say what happens tomorrow ...if you have ITA they give you 3 months to submit if can't you can decline it....it's better than assumption...tie breaking rule is also another factor to consider too....my opinion

Hello All. Please i will like to know is there is anyone whose medicals has expired and has not got PPR here? med expires this thursday and nothing from CIC. Ordered GCMS notes a second time but won't be due to May ending. AOR is May 2017. FSW - Outland.

just thinking...it might be good to raise a CSE to that effect and also there is a very high likelihood you will get ADR for new medical report since its expiring this week...you can as well go for medical and submit it via CSE....JUST MY THOUGHT OOO

most her accomplishments was through her husband's hardwork anyway....FLOTUS a good example...she can as well remove that afterall she is not in government

Dear All, why is it that band 7 or 7.5 is really not a good score in IELTS for PR. I have seen most post here where people intend rewriting the test after a score of L7,R7.5,W7.5,S7.5. I need more clarification in this regards.

There are extra points for those that are able to attain initial advanced English language profiency coupled with their level of qualifications....with 8777LWRS you can achieve that and anything short of that will make your CRS score looks 'average'.... or we say CRS booster

there is no 'ideal' score per say as score for express entry can be as low as 420 depending on the number of invitees and frequency of draws but 446 has been more consistent as minimum in recent times however scores above 400 but below Express entry cut off do receive provincial nomination especially from Ontario....this are my view and others can correct me and also add to it

I just got seriously wounded by BC in my ielts not in naija though...was scared about my listening and writing though but pretty confident of reading and speaking....there I have LRSW 8.5;7;6.5;6.....after months of practice but the slogan is REFIRE as a repeat student...winners never quit....booked another one ...congratulations to those aced it and anyone that fell short like me...let us not give up

He had the fingerprint sample with him when I needed it for UK. All he did was to take the same fingerprint to Alagbon and they issue another PCC for Canada.

just like @flaj as said affix your passport photo on the top right of the fingerprint form....you are good to go

if it's easy to collect another one why not do that...if not other supporting documents for work experience like offer letter or payslip will cover for it...in my opinion
