Job market seems to be average to me. More construction jobs opportunities like civil engineering especially during summer. Oil jobs is pretty below average due to downfall in oil although things will likely changes as they are working on pipeline across the province to US. For someone who doesn’t care of starting small, part time jobs are readily available to kickstart things

Proof of income is like providing evidence such pay slips or bank statements showing salary deposits for the past 6 months. That's my view point.

NOC – 2212(primary) and 4031 (secondary) ECA: WES was used for the evaluation in 2018. The challenge faced was with the mistake made by spouse’s university on her day of birth. The university took up the responsibility by reaching out to WES for correction and we sent a corrected transcript as well. The follow-up was done through twitter and new ECA was issued for my spouse.
IELTS: The magic score didn’t come on a platter of gold. L:8.5 R:8 W:7 S:7. what I can say here based on my experience is that IELTS difficulty level varies, some can have an easy one while some might encounter a hard one. Bottom line is that we shouldn’t give up and keep on pushing until we get the desired score. The fact remains that everyone’s target is not the same. Also, its best to stick to one resource material. My recommendation still remains IELTS Liz (past questions and writing), E2 language Jay(speaking), ieltsonlinetests-google search (reading and listening) Medicals: We had our first medicals in July 2018 at children’s Practice (no longer listed by IRCC) hoping that ITA will arrive and due to personal schedules. We submitted it like that for AOR with one month to expire. The medical was passed. By August 2019, we went for another medical test proactively at Q-life (we booked via telephone then followed by email). We uploaded the medical reports via CSE and there were no issues and the medical was passed too. PCC: It was seamless at Alagbon in Lagos. I will just point out that after the first one expired, they changed only the certificate with an updated one without having to thumbprint again. It was uploaded like that and no issues at all. The price is very flexible and can be as low as #3500 up to #10000…make we shine our eyes wella. Other countries PCC that I submitted like UK and UAE were seamless as well.
POF: It was a gift from my family. It comprised of: one-month bank statement (shows the transaction dates), transfer slips, gift letter (not notarized) and exchange rate of the day (oanda and XE). I will point out that the bank statement was online generated version that I used.
Work Experience: My primary NOC employer wasn’t willing to give me the reference letter and it took time before I could gather the documents. I submitted salary certificate which covers part of the requirement of a reference letter, bank statement and a JD and work hours’ letter from a fellow employee and I attached his company’s business card. For my secondary NOC, it was my NYSC experience, I had reached out to my PPA (took time as well) and was given the reference letter in CIC format. I added my NYSC bank statement (no bank stamp) too. I will point out that the reference letter bears the salary paid by the school which was in cash and the duration was stated in MMYYYY format not DDMMYYYY format which can possibly give some headache about whether NYSC is one year or 10 months. A LOE was used to explain the documents in this section for clarity. Post-AOR: It was not easy because there were times of doubt and anxiousness. Generally, I prayed more and was positive throughout. It’s always good to find a distraction as this will prevent tension and keep sanity. lols Shout Out: There are some people whom have had opportunity to engaged with during this process and my post won’t be complete without giving them a shout out. @Newmum0615 (thanks for helping me fine-tuned my JD) @Ifeoma77(a lady with a beautiful mind, I appreciate you for the times I sent you on an errand for my EOR pickup and delivery, I am so grateful that you accepted my request for assistance even though we never met) @Topsmamen (thanks for responding to my email concerning our discussion on my reference letter) @Nairalandnewbie (am grateful to you for giving me a sample of a typical reference letter for consideration). Finally, to every prospective Canadian PR applicants who are yet to give up despite the challenges they are facing. God bless you all. Please for my work experience , I can only provide the CIC required recommendation letter. I dont have access to bank slips and one of my employment letters and I'm not in the country to go to the bank for these. Is it enough to submit only the reference letters?

Not compulsory, the bank statement highlighting the salary transfer should suffice in addition to the reference letter

my wife is a PA and worked where they dont have an oline presence but they do pay her via direct transfer into her acccount. Does she need to request for the cac cert from her employer？

1. You can add the CAC which will further proof the authenticity of company since they dont have online presence
2. Leave everything as it is. Difference in name with parents doesn't matter(since you are also declaring it in application under family information), just like a couple maintaining their names after marriage. But if you are doubting then add a LOE.

Another one is about my surname, my family changed our surname about 7 years ago and got it published on the newspaper (including mine) but I continued to use the old surname as I felt it was so mush hassle carrying evidence of surname change anytime the need arise (I also didn't like the surname �).

I will suggest activity should be "employment" and you use your PPA as company name

No, don't be worried at all. PPR mail will drop any moment, it can take up to 2 weeks after approval before you receive it. Also check your spam folder in your mailbox. Congratulations

Yes you can.Your spouse will write a letter of authorisation to pick up the certificate on his/her behalf stating your full name and ID you will be presenting at their office. Also, you will go with a copy of your spouse ID.

Just upload the nikkah and registry certificate.no issues at all. A LOE can be added stating that wedding certificate was issued after a month you got married religiously. But the main thing is the evidence of your marriage which is the wedding certificate.

Happy sunday pals. I am March 15 aor and is 7months + post AOR. I raise webform with respect to my application and it says " Decision made, the decision will be communicated to you through mail/email". This reply was 21st of October and am still yet to get any email. My question is 2 ways. Does anyone know how long one has to wait before a mail with respect to this and the outcome?; Secondly I wish to call CIC tomorrow but both the text now and google hangouts dialer are not available in Nigeria for download. I need input from someone who has succeeded in calling from Nigeria on how to go about the calling?

In addition to @bekay response, if your medical report is less than 2-3 months to expire with the update of no need for a medical exam, you are likely to have a re-medical request prior to PPR.

I am at the background check stage and have been waiting on the final decision for four months now. I also noticed that my medical changed from being "passed on February 8" to there is "no need for a medical exam" when I check this morning.

Any response will be greatly appreciated.

If there is need for biometrics, IRCC will send you a biometrics letter be taken to the designated centre.

Hi Guys, quick update; I had mentioned that i have valid biometrics with IRCC, i just got my MEP updated and my previous biometrics enrollment date has been updated as well. So, does it mean that i dont need to do another biometrics capture?
