That is ibom air for you. Same thing happened to me few days before Christmas and I was with 3 children and maid. They actually sell the tickets to higher buyers right there.

same day renewal? You mean you filled forms, captured and passport was vomited same day ?
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by toludestin(f): 10:50pm On Aug 27, 2021
Thank you everyone for this thread. I decided to do the same day renewal option for my son(Abuja) and my parent(festac). My parents went for theirs today and the passport is ready. They paid 50k each and got the VIP treatment. I went this route after I read about people's sad experience.

I came in from Lagos to Atlanta with my mum and 2 kids today via Airfrance, everything was breeze for me as I had prayed to God never to go for any secondary inspection. I tried endlessly to get dollar from Stanbic and Unity but did not succeed so i had to buy through black market at the airport. Travelling with 2 toddlers is hell but i do not regret it because my mum was with me. When we got to Atlanta at the CBP officer's desk after all the thumb printing I brought out all my previous receipts i paid in 2012 for my daughter's delivery in texas. The letter i wrote to the embassy and the response i got from the embassy for the new pregnancy. I also had my hotel booking. As God would have it the guy did not check a single document i had brought out for him. He just asked for what i came for and i said childbirth. He stamped me in for 6 months and said if i needed more time i can request for an extension. He told me to keep all my documents in my bag that he doesnt need them. Same also at agriculture nothing was seized. i am presently in the hotel with my family chilling after the long journey.

Hello house, the search for dollar is making me go gaga. I was at Stanbic Walter Carrington on Friday and this morning. No positive response and my travel date is tomorrow. Anyone with a contact where I can at least get should please help. Thank you all.

Yours is very cheap from what my friend is getting. Mothers getting infant ticket from the US can no longer buy from Nigeria. This is the new policy from Airfrance. I got a quote of $691 dollars for one way to buy an infant ticket for her. I had to call their office in the US as the airline said they can no longer do that from here. The new rule started last week. So sad indeed.

Thanks Chloe. i cant leave my daughter behind as she would find it difficult to stay without me and i will find it difficult to concentrate wherever iam. Besides, there is no reliable hand to take care of her now.

Please can i get some hospital/doctor's names? I find it difficult reading through all pages ...i'm so busy and tired these days
I can understand how you feel. I was in the same dilemma fee weeks ago when i was about to buy my ticket. My Oga wanted me to leave my kids back in nigeria but i stood my ground because my mind wouldn't be at rest when i am in the US to have my baby. I was able to get a good deal and will be going 1st week in march. I checked your ticket and found AF and Klm for yourself and daughter 500 within the dates you wanted. The wait time is also very ok 4hrs going and about 1hr on your return leg. Best wishes in your search.

Travelstart is the most unreliable ticketing agency I have seen and I think they are fraud.
Booked a ticket with them to minneapolis on 27/11/15(black friday) around 11.30pm,which was N204.042 and saw that the booking will last for about 24hours before it expires.they kept on sending me reminder on my phone about the payment.paid the money around 5.30pm the next day but couldn't get through to them for payment confirmation, called all their after hours emergency numbers they didn't pick, sent them mails too (even posted it on NL that if anyone knows how I can get through to them)was able to talk to someone around 6.30pm(no good customer relation)but didn't really care just wanted my payment to be confirmed and my ticket issued.she said payment confirmed I will issue your ticket within 1 hour.got a mail from them around 7.15 that my payment has been confirmed and my ticket will be issued.got another mail around 10.20 pm that I have to pay extra N102366 that at the time of issuing that it was more.

I was pissed cos I payed before the 24hrs expires and all. So I called them on Monday (yesterday)since they don't pick their calls and was able to talk to someone and was told there is nothing they can do. Ok can u refund my money? He said yes that I should send them a mail that I will get it before the end of the day.naso I know see any alert o. I called again this morning that I didn't get alert was told not to worry that I will get it before the end of closing of work today that they do refunds Tuesdays and Thursdays. I called about 2pm today that I have not gotten an alert the lady( ifeoma) was telling me to calm down told her I need the money to book for another ticket and she cut of the call, called back again and again nobody picked.
See me see trouble o,i should calm down on top my money and u cut off the call, hope say I never enter one chance. Called back again some mins to 4pm to tell them that I have not gotten any alert, the ifeoma said I should hold on, I did and she cut the call again. Called back again and immediately she knew I was the one she cut call the call and they stopped picking my calls.

Please nairalanders help me o,hope I never enter one chance and the most painful part of it is that I saw another ticket on wakanow through delta airlin which was reasonable and this people have refused to return my money or give me an explanation.
My advice nobody should use travelstart,no good customer relation and I think they are fraud.

^^^agree

Biko question for the house, when you want to travel to the US after missionary journey, are you expected to carry the original receipts?

Or are coloured copies enough. Or black and white self. Thanks all

Photocopies either coloured or black and white will suffice from my previous experience.
