Thank you everyone for this thread. I decided to do the same day renewal option for my son(Abuja) and my parent(festac). My parents went for theirs today and the passport is ready. They paid 50k each and got the VIP treatment. I went this route after I read about people's sad experience. 1 Like |

I came in from Lagos to Atlanta with my mum and 2 kids today via Airfrance, everything was breeze for me as I had prayed to God never to go for any secondary inspection. I tried endlessly to get dollar from Stanbic and Unity but did not succeed so i had to buy through black market at the airport. Travelling with 2 toddlers is hell but i do not regret it because my mum was with me. When we got to Atlanta at the CBP officer's desk after all the thumb printing I brought out all my previous receipts i paid in 2012 for my daughter's delivery in texas. The letter i wrote to the embassy and the response i got from the embassy for the new pregnancy. I also had my hotel booking. As God would have it the guy did not check a single document i had brought out for him. He just asked for what i came for and i said childbirth. He stamped me in for 6 months and said if i needed more time i can request for an extension. He told me to keep all my documents in my bag that he doesnt need them. Same also at agriculture nothing was seized. i am presently in the hotel with my family chilling after the long journey. 15 Likes 1 Share |

yuddiepro: Yours is very cheap from what my friend is getting. Mothers getting infant ticket from the US can no longer buy from Nigeria. This is the new policy from Airfrance. I got a quote of $691 dollars for one way to buy an infant ticket for her. I had to call their office in the US as the airline said they can no longer do that from here. The new rule started last week. So sad indeed. |

emeriem:I can understand how you feel. I was in the same dilemma fee weeks ago when i was about to buy my ticket. My Oga wanted me to leave my kids back in nigeria but i stood my ground because my mind wouldn't be at rest when i am in the US to have my baby. I was able to get a good deal and will be going 1st week in march. I checked your ticket and found AF and Klm for yourself and daughter 500 within the dates you wanted. The wait time is also very ok 4hrs going and about 1hr on your return leg. Best wishes in your search. |
