Investors shouldn't be scared yet, there is broad participation in the market, the graph is not showing

Not to talk about the foreign investors that are currently trooping in, and this is just the begining. Not to be apprehensive till early 2024.

Did you read the post on lamentation of @loco following his exit from Transcorp train?
I can recall, he lamented that he exited too early.
I'm sure he will respond to this post once he is online.
Loco is strategizing for 2mao kill. 😆
The theme of my post was that the indicators told him when to re-enter. There was no reason for lamentation, he ought to have simply re-entered when the indicators signalled uptrend continuation.
I believe his mind didn't go to re-entry because he had other pieces of iron on the fire to monitor.
It seems i have not been privileged to behold your availability, for some time Sir Mankindman. You appear to me to be a pragmatic contributor, of no mean other, and have of necessity captured my admiration. More grease to your elbows brother.

@Loco, you are a good stock spotter, the only issue which you have identified in your strategy is "Short-Term "
I can say it stylishly, you would have been a money bag by now and surpass Pa Emma, Agbalowomeri and the rest of them.
I can recall vividly when you were allegedly loaded on Transcorp at sub N1 which you eventually offloaded before Emperor Otedola open our eyes. Imagine what that could have returned to your portfolio at current price.
You can build a 300M portfolio over 4 to 5 years with N50M investment in NSE with your niche of spotting next winning stock.
Stock investment is a marathon, you need 6 out of 10 winners to breakthrough and seize today for tomorrow.

I don't agree with you. I think Loco"s strategy gives him the opportunity to make money from a lot of stocks, especially during the bears, when opportunities are little. That is, In a period of draught, he would be able to make money from the few available stocks.
Going by my own perception, continuing to make money from Transcorp shouldn't have given him any problem because he uses technical indicators to determine his entry and exit.
Getting back to Transcorp when it got back to winning ways is one of the characteristics of his strategy. He ought to have re-entereď Transcorp when his indicators pointed to another upward trend. That shouldn't be a problem with technical indicators as you can enter and exit a stock as occasion demands.
Loko would not broadcast to the word what he is using his strategy to haul from the system.
I have already test-run this strategy. What you require is an array of reliable indicators and your own intelligent initiative and also taking into consideration our current socio economic environment.
Abeg no vex say amateur dey pock nose for your jist.

I became a happy investor with rest of mind when i discovered the advantages of investing in reliable dividend paying companies. Any of them can give you a huge capital appreciation at any given time. You don't need to care about price volatility as long aa the company retains it's fundamental values.
Big money men don't go about chasing many stocks around. Even if you have over #50b, about five stocks will do. Monitoring a very few number of stocks would be easy. I've learnt my lessons from over a decade of trading, most of which were bedevilled by non-chalant attitudes and absence fron the market. #Agbalowomeri

BullBearMkt:
Why We Advocate That Average Investors/Traders Should Learn Before Investing
It is strongly recommended that average investors/traders should acquire knowledge before considering investment opportunities in stocks, FOREX, commodities, and other financial asset. This will enable them to stay informed about the dynamics of the financial market.

For instance, let's focus on technical analysis:
With adequate education, individuals can understand that the financial market (PRICE) operates in cycles. These cycles consist of IMPULSE phases (represented by blue lines) and CORRECTIONS phases (represented by red lines), which complete one full cycle. In more complex cases, there may be multiple corrections such as CORRECTION1, CORRECTION2, and so on.

Regardless of the market, profitability occurs when the price is in the impulsive phase of the cycle. However, in order to make money, individuals must demonstrate patience to engage in the market during the "CORRECTIONS" phase.

The concept of "PUMP & DUMP" is not true. What occurs is that patient investors/traders take calculated risks during corrections and wait for the price to enter the impulsive wave. Once they have generated substantial profits, they then sell their positions to tangible cash. That is the period that uninformed people we hear about some people making money and they want to participate. And before they knew it, price has fallen into corrections.

Once again, it is essential for newcomers to the market to prioritize learning, particularly in the areas of fundamental and technical analysis.

A word is enough for the wise.
grin grin grin grin grin
Technical analysis can be rubbished by socio-economic change, So, fundamental analysis should of necessity be a part of the bargain.

Simply looking at a stock's 52-week highs and lows is not enough to have a holistic view. You must consider a variety of factors. Both technical and fundamental analysis favor DangSugar over DangCem. I could go on to describe the various metrics I used to reach my conclusions, but what would be the point?

Update to this very post. grin grin cheesy

I added Dangcem for effect. cheesy

Why did you conclude that 52 weeks high/low was the only metric i considered?
Thanks for your response.

Bro, you're late to the party! I recommend buying Dangsugar stock without hesitation if you can get it at todays close or lower as it still pack value.

I bought more of it this morning when it was selling below yesterday's close. Some people were even lining up to buy it at a lower price, but I didn't waste any time and bought it at 22.85. By the afternoon,

Considering the 52 weeks high/low, why do you prefer dansugar to dancement at this time sir, as dansugar seem to have covered considerable grounds already. I have some idle pre- inauguration sales fund as well. This bull didn't wait till after inauguration at all.

What is the name of this forum? Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts Forum.
I'm trying to educate you because it seems you are intelligent by half.
This is a place where investment like-minded people rob minds in order to improve their investment profile.
Anyone who believes he is perfect needs not to be here as he would just trade and made gratuitous returns from the corner of his room.
Asking you advice about what to buy doesn't mean I'm not buying, but out of wisdom, i was asking because this forum has proved to be rich in financial gurud and experts whose advice i could tely upon.
I believe that someone like me, eventhough i am an experienced administrator with no mean order, should not come here to give stock investment advice because it is not my field.
So Mr. man, who always no what to invest in, who needs not to be in this forum and who also doesn't want to share his knowledge with orders should kindly mind his business and allow the amateur Toluway to seek for investment advice.
Thank you. (No time to edit this post please)

Good day ladies and gentlemen. This should be a buying season. Though members have not been making much publicity about what they have been buying. Another geregu is probably loading. I thought it was name of a masquerade until friends started uploading their 200% profit.
I always miss portunities because I'm not always available in the market. A very bad habbit that has cost me millions over the years. Whose business.
I bought UBA at #8.10 because of the juicy dividend it paid me. Then, Okomu Oil.
I have been monitoring ucap for months only to miss it when it left off with a long gap.
But i wonder why no one is talking about Afriprud at it's present price, eventhough it appears to be adopting a new culture of stagnation, but then, we used to patronise it because of it's sumptuous dividends.
Congratulations to those who were lucky to be in Transcorps bus. Many of us are regular customers of this famous bus, but not all were lucky to be in the bus this time.
Afriprud? The gurus.
I disagree with those who said this is not a buying season, though non can be categorical about time and season.
I think the investing public is becoming more optimistic that there is going to be a a peaceful transition process that would in turn usher in an era of political stability and economic hope in Jagabanism.

See so much bitterness in you. In my opinion i think this is an over reaction. He asked you a simple question you can give a simple answer to.

Like you said, the sky is big enough for everyone.

The question he asked was to stimulate a discussion not to throw insults.

We are all here to learn and rub minds together, no one knows it all
Thanks for your observation.
I don't know him; why should I be bitter?
Try to dig a little bit into the root of the matter before you judge me.

I actually over-reacted; and my vetuperation was unwarranted and unnecessary. I'm very sorry house.

I actually became paranoid because he has in the past, in a couple of occasions insulted me because I made a comment.
He can't claim he doesn't know me in this house for a long time; so asking me when i started trading could be pregnant with meaning.
I regret my outburst and I'm sorry.

NESTLE was purchased @254 naira. Today, Nestle is trading above N1,000.......over 15 years of collecting dividends....... Whatever is left there is all gain now, and Gain Is giving way for more gains.

Well, let me leave the discussion for the elders who's been on the investment path with divers experiences to comment on..... smiley

Based on your last line, what do you consider as an investment then?
Sorry to say this, Otomatic. These dividends we are getting, is it not rubbish? You invest million in a company and get # undecided in a whole year! Even after the company has made 70% profit!
My brother, if one really wants to invest, surely not nse and the likes. I think nse is for arm-chair, white collar investors. I am an example of such anyway, because i don't have less than #* in nse. I restrain myself from putting figures to prevent being misunderstood.

I pencilled some stocks for long term investment a couple of months ago and gtco and zenith are not among. This is because both stocks have been Ranging and not really performing for over 5 years now, when the highest either of them has ever gone is #35 or thereabout.
I don't see why someone should base his investment merely on dividend payment in a very inflationary economic collectivity like ours.
I would rather diversify on about 20 stocks of good fundamentals so that the ones who choose to grow among them would make for the static or falling ones; call it a very conservative or ancient strategy if you like. Gt and Zenith has been on range for few years back. Above is strictly my personal opinion please.

Now that almost everyone is hoarding and doing dollar business; which mechanism can be set to motion to stop it? It seems any amount of dollar coming into the system would be swallowed by the new anaconda; and it's scarcity and rise would continue.
This country is doomed! And for a country without intelligent, forthright and patriotic leaders, the only weapon we have now is prayers.
Let's see how far this miracle of Naira appreciation could go, without a concomitant government policy.
