Please House, what do you think about Nacho ? The price volume, and fundamentals appear to be ok, but what about other factors and investors sentiments ? Besides, i might be wrong in my assessment. Thanks in advance

You don't know what you're talking about, and you're just a bundle of chalatan, awfully lousy, disrespectful and bigotry! How can you think you can just rubbish a physical activity of national importance, carried out by an organisation with your post in nsempa ! You probably don't have a public service experience.
Kindly forgive me forum members. i will never talk about this issue anymore.
My organisation is not the the one directly collecting the taxes, it only verifies what is paid and evidence of payment into the Federation Accounts. The organisations that are collecting are amongst others, Customs Service and FIRS whose collections and remittances we veryfy. Unilever is neither paying to the Customs Service nor FIRS. Are these organisations also bribed ?
However, if you still believe that Unilever is paying, i have know reason to continue to argue on this forum.
Thanks.

Oga just keep quiet and stop arguing. Even if you’re told something, use your brain instead running with whatever you’re told. You’re now a subject of ridicule.

Your bosses have collected bribe and asked one of those guys to lie to you because you’re a yes sir subordinate.

You guys didn't ask the right questions that is why you got wrong answers. How can they not pay tax? And somebody has posted their AFS here but you are still arguing.
I'm i the one arguing or you guys? You are just baffling me! We Nigerians are simply amazing. I will never respond to this issu anymore. How can i be telling you about a company which i personally visited in Lagos, as a member of the directorate, in a team of Federal Officials and Commissioners, and got a report from the Management itself, which comprised it's accountants and auditots, to the effect that it is exempted from paying tax because it provides jobs to Nigerians. And we had to even apologised. This report was officially documented by an agency of the Federal Government. This report was picked from the horses mouth. And you are saying that you stand in a better position to tell me that Unilever is, on the contrary paying tax! That i am the one arguing. This is amazing. So Unilever lied against itself that it doesn't pay tax? I think Nigerians can be difficult! Please, I'm out of further argument about this.

Thank you for taking the time to educate us on some of the activities your department do to ensure that waivers, exemptions unnecessarily granted to companies are recovered. politicians in the name of many things do suspend the law to favour some companies illegally and I am 100% for recovery of such funds. But I think we have agreed that Unilever do pay tax.
The Company's Management has declared in official capacity that it doesn't pay tax. And it is not only Unilever that is not. There are also some others.

Actually, we don't monitor companies revenue remission, we monotor customs and other revenue collecting agencies. What we went to Unilever to do was not to monitor them but to verify what Customs collected from them against what is in the Customs books. We wanted to check Customs transparency. We jave been recovering trillions of Naira into the Federation Accounts. We dont publicize our activities. We shouldn't. Thanks.

I think this is the reason why the country is where we are. Civil servants that really don't know what they are doing. Please sir, if what you said (bolded) is true and you people suspended the audit because of that, that means no company in the country should pay tax because they all employ Nigerians. I thought the proper thing to do is to ask Unilever to provide the act or legislation that exempts them from paying tax.

Obviously you don't work for FIRS and have no business visiting that company in the first place to audit their tax books. You probably work for Revenue Mobilization and Fiscal Allocation Commission. You guys are all over the place with no clear mandate and don't understand tax laws.
Cool down. First, I'm not working in Revenue bla bla as you suggested. Board members are politicians. The work is for beaurocrats who are supposed to educate and advise the board members . I said in my post above that we are taking the matter up in our office because their tax exemption is an anormally and can't be justified.

I stated the constitutional responsibilities, amongst others, of the institution that i was talking about, as agaist the one you claim has no clear mandate. This one has a clear mandate. This is not the forum for a comprehensive discussion of government policies and and departmental mandates. I only intended to make a little reference. You cant take me up here. A company is unjustifiable exempted from taxation and my office is trying to address the issue as i posted and i cant really fathom the reason for your outburst.

This is the 2018 audited accounts for your view. Look at this attached note. I am a professional auditor and tax practitioner for many years. I do not just jump on conversations. I also know little about Company's Audited Financial Statements.
Thank you for this clarification.
I work in a Federal Extra-Ministerial Commission who is responsible for Revenue Allocation to the Three Tiers of Government, Expanding sources of Internally Generated Revenue, and monitor revenue accruals into the Federation Accounts.
Last December, some of our officials including me, paid official visit to Unilever to verify what they paid into the account of Nigeria Customs Service, withe the aim of confirming what the Customs remitted into the Federation Accounts.
We held a meeting with the Management and Accountants of the organisation, who told us to our utter chagrin that the organisation doesn't pay tax and they proved it.
Two members of the Board of our Commission who expressed their annoyance that we didn't do our due diligence before visiting the organisation, also confirmed that Unilever is exempted from paying tax. Why, Because they provide jobs to Nigerians. These Board Members retired from the private sector. We had to apologise and take our leave.
We are currently taking up the issue in our organisation, which i will not mention here. OFFICIALLY, Unilever does not pay tax.
Sorry for the poor quality of my write-up, as it is hurriedly done on transit. I have to pack and hurriedly send you this.

What is even wrong with Uniliver, why the hurry to release a bad result like this, do the want to scare the bull away from the market? At least they should have waited for two or three good results to come out before bringing out this kind of thing. They did not even audit the account before filling.
Do you even know that Unilever does not pay tax? I was there last December with my colleagues to verify it's tax portfolio. For your information, this multinational is totally exempted from tax bu the present Government. Unbelievable!!

Key into stocks in bearish season. This is a plus. Most guys that follow me are on profit. They buy low. Most accumulated durinh August low. So seeing there is a sign of things that I am not comfortable with in this bullish ride, I had to prepare to exit.

Lose fund out of panic? Hope you are not the one? Because those following me bought low. We all bought low.

My message is for some people. They know themselves.

You have said it time and time again. No point repeating yourself, otherwise, you would become a bore. Once you took your decision, just observe and stop talking. I so much respect your strategic ideology, which doesn't come cheap.

I also sold since early last week when it became crucial for me to enjoy the victory of having my gains in my pocket instead of leaving it in the tempest of rascally waves and started looking out for another opportunity. A vulture is a patient bird.

Market is for everyone! Just choose your strategy/style and consistently stick to it regardless of the market conditions! Ever wondered why Warren Buffet is so successful? Cos he consistently stick to his value + GARP style down the years. no shifting one bit even during the dot-com boom... likewise Carl Ichan with his aggressive activist and exploitative style...
Buffet doesn't apply here in a scenario of herds mentality. Try to long a good fundamental stock here for long term and see whether you will not end your journey back in the bus stop, like travelling on the earth on a perceived straight line. Here is a place where every stock is bullish during bullish season. I made the most profit in my portfolio from an illiquid stock that made 1% in it's last financial statement!

If wapco should leave the car park eventually, no one should come here and say he/she couldn't see to buy, because the "noise" on it was/is much for the past weeks.
My sister, i was thinking rightly or wrongly that it's no longer at car park. i thought it's car pack was #10 to #13. Sorry if I'm grossly mistaken. I have a substantial idle fund right now.

Considering the scenario where this market has been going neither forward nor backward for over a week now, dont you think traders on this forum should not plung into any stock now and weight till the whole direction is clear? As patience is the name ofthe game. Though, dividend hunters could be understood as having their own game plan. Just an opinion.

You will do yourself more favour by digging deeper.
Find out how much those companies paid out last year as dividend.
Take what they paid last year ,divide it by the current price and multiply by 100. That will give you the probable dividend yield for this year.

The other question is, can those companies pay what they paid last year or more?
This one is thickish and you will need to dig deeper and deeper......

As at q3 2019, you find out how much profits those companies have made compared to the previous year. Is it more or less? That will give you an idea of what might likely happen with dividend payments at the end of this year....

To broaden your knowledge about the companies, you can look at financials plus dividend history for the past 3, 5, 10 years.
Has the profits been increasing/decreasing from year to year? Ditto for the dividends.

Let me stop here for now.......
Only Plato and Aristotle could do all these researches. I salute sir.
