The people buying Dangote cement: what was there that was not in the public since last year?

That is the question one should ask.

People shirt go tear into pieces.
Please stop scaring people. Let us encourage one another please
Everyone knows that stock trading is risky. Buy vs sell is not a wrestling duel. Let people take there decisions.

We are at the early stage of bull market. You can invest now and make decent profit.

Depending on the nature of investor you are, conservative or agressive. Zenith bank is still good at current price with peace of mind.

UBA is getting out of hands, FBNH is cool too all these are running fast leaving limited upside room.
ETI and Dangote Cement still has a long way to go

I have 500K to invest. I am a long term value investor with interest in yield. My current options are:

Kindly, advice if they are better options.

There is no way they will stop your order if you place the trade yourself. The price limit might not have been met.
Thanks. I will stick to placing my order by myself.

Its just patience you need. I use same platform and some ridiculous limits i put usually sail through from about day 12 onward. Very rarely have i passed that 14 days without getting an order filled. In any case if the 14 days lapse i just repeat the order until it gets filled or until TA indicates that order go hard to fill.
Did you mean 14 calendar days? A lot must have happened to the price!

The problem with Wapco, which was why i didn't buy it last November at #14 was that people bought it around August at about #10. Those who bought it at about #10 are now selling. Though, this does not take anything away from the stock. Wapco is a great buy.

Always put a price limit to your mandates. Betterstill, trade yourself.

Where you don't do these, then brokers will use your fund to do market-making towards the end of trade. grin

Market is a brutal arena.

But here we try to be our brother's keeper.
Thanks, i appreciate. My problem with Meritrade is, they seldom allow my order to sail through, any time i put price limit !

Rule number 1: Don't fall in love with stocks

Rule number 2: Even if a stock (based on FA) is wonderful and signals a buy, TA will still be showing sell. And I think the TA people are more than the FAs. So just use the chart and buy into a wonderful company at a low price.

That's why you're my man.

I need it to get up to 6.7 for me to break even. I have started doubting whether it is going to get at that price soonest.
When the price was 6.5, i attempted to buy with price limit, Meritrade refused to allow my order to sail through. When i appealed to them, they asked me tp remove the limit. The organisation eventually bought for me at 7.1 when the intraday prices were around 6.5 and the price never got to 7.1 !. It was scandalous. i would not forgive Meritrade for this. That is the way they have always treated me. It is always better for me to buy directly at current price from nse, because i can be lucky at times. But anytime Meritrade guys intervene, its big problem.

I use Trove.
Currently enjoying a $2.33 per share on Virgin Galactic bought 10th December.

I nurtured a thought of opening a tread on US Stocks picks on Nairaland but yet to commence for time sake.
Please let know when the thread takes off if you open it before I do. I recently opened an account at Trove. This means i will be doing all the researches by myself. Bloomberg is great.

Very true, but quite hard to do. However, I was able to get ETI @ N6 on Monday before the Xmas holiday.
Not at Meritrade platform. They always buy my stocks higher tham market highs. They want to drive me away.

Has anyone noticed that Morgan is now so friendly with android phones? and also the user interface.
You can also slide up and down easily, without glitches.

nice one!
I've just discovered Morgan has made a major improvement. I found myself logged in directly with my Android phone. They did it for me!
It's now mobile friendly. I hereby congratulate the organisation.
