IsraeliAIRFORCE: Stop misleading Nigerians on the significance of Saraki's leadership style and opposition to the "failed budget".
There are two chambers of National Assembly and both are required to agree on their version and figures before harmonisation.
Is the senate version of ammended budget as re-submitted by the Executive different from HOR? Why Saraki and not Dogora? My friend I am very sure that shortly after Buhari presented this same budget at the floor of the Senste, Saraki declared to the chagrin of most Nigerians of a "missing budget" which was later declared "found" by this same Saraki......now link that up with Senator Marafa allegations against Saraki being involved in the manipulations of the budget in order to embarrass the Presidency.....in case you don't know Saraki is fighting a dirty battle with a no nonsense President....wait for more drama. Marafa is definitely not crying wolf. |

Politics › Why The Padded Budget May Be The Reason For Osinbajo's Meeting Saraki And Others by tomakint(op): 5:55am On Feb 25, 2016 |
It was widely reported about a meeting that involved the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Chief John Oyegun, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Chief Atiku, and Senate President, Bukola Saraki. The question is, why the meeting? It must be reliably gathered that the "padded budget" was not only a national disgrace but a dent on the Change Mantra by the APC-led Federal Government and going by the recent allegations made by Senator Marafa against the leadership of the Senate (especially Senate President, Bukola Saraki), this meeting may not be unconnected to the outcry of Sen Marafa against Saraki and he needs to tell his own side of the story.
Buhari must have been duly informed about the fifth columnists sponsored by the leadership of the Senate to doctor the "once lost budget" as declared by Saraki himself shortly after it was presented by the President. Hence, the reason the President was hellbent in punishing "severely" those behind the padding of the budget. I will not be surprised if more dust will be raised in the coming days concerning the distorted budget. Buhari must have ordered the meeting of Osinbajo with the APC chieftains.......Nigerians should brace up for more episodes in this unfolding drama we are about to watch in the coming days. |

lukumanbabatund: Marafa is obviously out of personal interest is blackmailing the 8th Senate using all available arsenal within his reach. He wants Ndume's seat as the Senate leader but knows that is impossible with Saraki still on seat as the chairman of NASS, hence, resorts to painting Saraki in the negative. This is impunity and should be discouraged and punished accordingly. If he is tired of being a Senator, let him go home. Simple. You obviously don't know what you are talking about.....just wait for Saraki's ouster first then whatever revelation you will see and hear about his manipulations on that seat for the past 9 months perpetrated by Saraki may make you to celebrate Marafa as a HERO. |

omonnakoda: Those countries you mention are very old indeed . They have a sense of identity. We are stil struggling with a "national question" and whether we want to be together in the same country.Jonathan gets there and makes an Ijaw man COAS before him Yar'adua did the same. It is not totally hopeless but we need a fair Nigeria. The current one is not working but if it breaks up it will be worse because we will spend the next hundred years fighting wars and buying weapons that we do not produce .Those selling the weapons will sell just enough to both sides to make sure there is never a winner by the way @ 2million barrels a day we have about 30 years of oil left in the ground My brother the situation right now is indeed grim and the future is bleak. The 'National Question' will continue to ravage this Entity called Nigeria until it ceases to be.....I am a big fan of regionalism but this time around on the basis of the Geopolitical zones which must be more than 6 (if you ask me 12 will comereferable). On the Asian Tiger example I am of the opinion that if we can study their Economic Blueprint Templates we may just be out of the woods in couple of years to come but with regionalism and not this wasteful Presidential System of Government. |

omonnakoda: Yes technical know how is important but it is not as simple as that .There are forces that share out the world among themselves. There is not such complex technical knowhow in Cadbury or Nestle but you will not get access to capital and markets without being strong, If we used our oil money properly perhaps we could have acquired relevant companies through sovereign wealth funds. By the Way Cadbury was bought by Kraft foods(US) a few years ago. Those companies are listed on specific stock exchanges and pay taxes there and they have institutional share holders tat are usually major banks in the same countries. You might not know but Unilever used to be the Royal Niger Company which effectively colonized Nigeria in the 1890s. This has been going on for a long time.Even if our leaders are awake it is an uphill battle but with the kind of leaders we have.............. Good....I heard about the bidding for Cadbury by Kraft Foods but never knew when it scaled through.... Of course I am aware of the Unilever thingy but what do you make out of the Asian Tigers (South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore) who rose from virtually struggling economies in the '60s to one of the developed Countries of the world the question now is, Is Africa the only Continent being caged by the New World Order of the Freemasonry Controlled States up North....hope you got my drift? I maintain that Nigeria especially needs no excuse to be crawling economically at 55+ years old. |
