shamecurls:U make me laff..what has street/hardcore got to do with moral content?..lolz..are u tired of gospel songs or inspirationals?.. Peeps be always over-emphasizing the 'CONTENT' term.. The content needed to be relevant in street/hardcore rap is just interestin but lewd lyrics and messages.. Jay Z, Snoop, Kanye West etc...I fink u shud do a background check on aw many years these dudes av been in the american industry and stil relevant..nd these dudes get super richer by the minute wit platinum album sales.. U fink dey av dis 'content' u talkin bou? The prob wit naija rap artistes fading out prematurely is mostly ascribed to .. 1. THEIR MYOPIC PASSION FOR MUSIC..most of dem put the love of the money beyond the job of doin d music dat brings dis moni..once dey blow for awhile..their intellect Becomes lazy gradually til their commercial delivery dries off.. ----------------------------------------------------------- P.S: wat makes olamide seem to us as som1 who is gonna be relevant for awhile longer than usual is cos he appears to be intellectually alert wit his music delivery..which is evident in his back2back hits on his home soil -------------------------------------------------------------- 2. LACK OF REAL BUSINESS ACUMEN..they get endorsements and oda revenue from music and rather be found partyin and all sorts..yet they hardly av any REAL business venture dat brings enuf moni to mk dem actual billionaires(not terminal ones).. makin moni aside music is nt ingrained in their mentality..they'd rather flaunt jewelry on instagram (and d likes) and all sort.. Lil wayne, BirdMan, Kanye, Tony Yayo, Pharell, P.Diddy Jay Z etc..these peeps av vast businesses that music moni gv dem capital to fire-up..even if music begins to fail dem at a time...the moni d music brought STAYs.. Nd if dat apuns..Who says they cnt find their feet again..provided the passion for the game is genuine.. |
I've neva and will neva let alcohol mess wit my head..worst case scenario.. I get real dizzy, probably puke(only on 1 occassion tho) and retire to bed, then deal wit a possible hangover later -------------------------------- As for 2 of my friends; on a chilly even in 2012. After several shots of McDowells, they grabbed gamepads nd took to playing PS whilst gistin and laffin.. Some mins later, they called for a boi to help em' buy 5H airtel cards apiece..this boi returned wit d airtime vouchers, then helped dem scratched it and left.. Lo and Behold; my 2 jolly frnds kept on tryin to recharge the serial numbaz of these vouchers repeatedly(instead of the pin) til their lines were barred from rechargin They juz smiled nd drop their fones anyway to continue wit d game dey had been playin which dey dint even undastand..cox one of dem wud score and the next tin is to ask each oda who actuali scored against the other.. However, the next day..they were surprised why they were unable to recharge and kept quizzing we the rest bou what apund to their line bein barred nd all... We juz kept laffin and gave dem ridiculous looks all day.. |

In times of terrorists attacks taking place more often in
public places, the last thing you would want to do - if you're
a sensible person, that is - would be to show up with
something that looks like a gun in your pocket. Yet, that's exactly what happened recently at the busy London Stansted Airport, where a man thought it was a fun thing to do to walk around with a gun-shaped iPhone case that had police on their toes. The man is facing charges The officers noted that in cases like this policemen have a "split second decision to make" and warned future case experimentalists that it "makes it much less likely you’ll catch your plane" if you carry a similar case. Not to mention that wearing such a case might result in fatal consequences for the jokester. Keep in mind that the images you see below are just stock images for illustration. In the particular gun case, the man was not wearing the case in such a clearly visible way, but the case was found during a security search. The man is now facing charges on grounds of a law against using threatening words or behavior to alarm or distress. He could also face charges for possession of an imitation of a firearm in a public place. Police has warned against the use of such provocative cases in the past and online retailers such as Amazon and eBay have banned sales of gun-shaped phone cases. At the end of the day, unless you're an out-of-control teen, it should be obvious that carrying a gun-shaped phone case is a bad idea.

From the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) came
yesterday a declaration that the power to determine
admission guidelines for universities is beyond the Joint
Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Essentially, ASUU, while reminding the examination body of
university autonomy, maintained that only the Senate of a
tertiary institution has the power to regulate admission
modalities and determine what best suits the vision of the
school.
Chairman of the University of Ibadan (UI) chapter of ASUU,
Dr. Deji Omole, in his reaction said both the Education
Minister, Adamu Adamu and JAMB Registrar, Prof. Dibu
Ojerinde erred in their actions.
Omole said the duo appeared confused and inconsistent by
first going against collection of administrative charges under
Post- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by
universities and then preaching payment of screening fees
in its guidelines.
The ASUU boss said both the minister and JAMB registrar
seemed unaware of happenings in the nation’s universities
as the “so called point-based scoring system” is not new.
Omole, who noted that the scoring system being introduced
by JAMB was innovated and used in UI for five years and
abandoned, said the premier university had moved beyond
such model of admitting students.
According to him, the question of admission is not about the
introduction of screening charges.
He said the union would resist any attempt to trample upon
university autonomy and the supremacy of the Senate of
universities to regulate its admission. |
Detectives have uncovered how Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose bought N1.35billion properties within six months in office. The five properties include four duplexes in Lagos and one in Abuja. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned three more people for quizzing on Friday in respect of the ongoing investigation of the governor. One of those invited, Oyin Daramola, who is an estate agent, is said to have told the EFCC team that she did a legitimate business. She said she had never been fraudulent in all her business transactions. Besides, Dramola, two others are to present evidence of their business fidelity. Ahead of the Friday session, the anti-graft agency has relocated Fayose’s associate, Abiodun Agbele, from Lagos to Abuja. The governor was inaugurated on October 16, 2014 but by April 2015, he had acquired the properties in Lagos and Abuja. The four duplexes, which were bought at $1.3m each, are located on Tiamiyu Savage Street on Victoria Island in Lagos. Each of the mansions is a four-bedroom duplex. According to EFCC’s findings, while chalets 3 and 4 were purchased through Siqnathor, chalets 6 and 9 were owned by Noga Hotel The fifth duplex was bought from the Skye Bank Plc at N200million. Although the transactions were handled by Still Earth belonging to Oyin Daramola, the governor has refused to pay estate agency fees up till the time of filing this report. Instead, he offered to pay fees through the award of contracts to the estate agent in Ekiti State to defray the commission on the five properties. http://saharareporters.com/2016/07/07/fayose-bought-n135b-properties-under-six-months-office-says-efcc |
