Evening Great Minds, just came across the two on the website of the school am applying Hafencity University Hamburg. Student Visa and Student Applicant Visa. From the explanation the later is used to bye cut the long waiting time for visa

I carefully studied the new booking system and am of the opinion that Category A is basically for students with good command of GERMAN LANGUAGE. Students who may have passed these Tests(1,2,3) and students that have a German degree (4) with good grades.
I strongly believe that Cat A is purely a LANGUAGE thing. Just ma view
