Check the history of the game. The Clubs that reigned long, from Manchester United under Ferguson, to Liverpool under Bob Paisley, to AC Milan under Arrigo Sacchi. Ajax under Rinus Michels, Barcelona under Guardiola.

These teams, repeatedly ripped teams apart. When a team wins with high goal margins, it shows their ability to convert chances. Converting Chances win games.

Mourinho might have the world of football deceived with his so called three points is all that matters. It is not true.

A side that repeatedly scores three or more goals in each game, has the right of reigning longer than a 1-0 winning team.

A 1-0 winning team is a team that struggles to win each game, while a team that scores freely is actually finding its opponents easier.

So how can you rate a coach who finds beating his opponents difficult better than a coach who finds beating his opponents easier?

Guardiola and Mourinho are not mates. They will never be. Mourinho has coached longer than Guardiola but Guardiola has more trophies.
is how long a club reigned the yardstick for measuring tactics now it seems u don't knw the meaning of tactics oh even Ferguson would not agree to being a master tactician than mou. in mou's 1st spell at Chelsea he stayed 3 seasons with Ferguson and Wenger (masters of longevity) he won d league twice (2/3) u see he beat Ferguson 2-1 y didn't ferguson's history of reigning long annihilate mourinho simply because mou is the better tactician.
**********
mourinho decieved no one bro the 3 points is all that matters if it ain't 3 points then what matters?
**************
hmm where am I gonna start explaining 4rm now a team that defends is different 4rm packing the box.defending is a philosophy of d game just like attacking did u watch Chelsea last match against Norwich we won 1-0 do u think we struggled to win that match guy when defending is your style u can win every single match of a season 1-0 its not struggling its as easy as ABC but u can't see it cuz u don't understand d beauty of the art.checkout this match Chelsea vs man u 2nd half of last season where Chelsea won 2-1 we defended yet it was an easy victory.nur vex let me ask a question y is it that when a defensive team wins u guys feel its luck forgetting the fact that defending was the strategy all along as they even practiced it in training #practice makes perfect and possessive victory are easy so are defensive victory no one z struggling bro.
**************
so guadiola doesn't beat his opponents easier than mou does.it myt look easier but its not.
************
guy stop assuming in trophy mourinho and guardiola aren't mates na Google is ur friend jhur guardiola has 20 trophies (if u include his spell in barca b) y mourinho has a trophy hall in excess of 20 even individual coaching award mou has 36 to guardiola miserable 19 dem nur b mates my guy upon all barca dominance mou was the 1 hu set LA liga point record remember the 2011 el clasico (copa del rey final) the 7-2-1 formation that won the cup for Madrid that's the height of tactics

Stop blaspheming. Mourinho will never be close to Guardiola tactically. Mourinho is a good tactician but you can not compare Mourinho to Guardiola easily by looking at who coaches his team to destroy their opponents.

If you watched the Barca Vs Real El Classico, you saw Enrique coaching his team to destroy Real Madrid.
How man times do you get such Annihilation from Mourinho against a top side? What reason will you use to place Mourinho ahead of Guardiola?
sir goodjoe na u blaspheme oh and its the other way round tactically guardiola z a million miles behind mou winning a match 1-0 is the same as 10-0 my brother a good tactician is one who is able to read the game and come out on top through countering the opponents tactics not 1 who annihilates or destroys his opponent or one who uses the best squad to dominate-NEVER!

As for Chelsea, that is a tight game. Unfortunately, Barca had the game but a Puyol wrong decision caused Barca

When we talk of tactically brilliant coaches, a park bus set piece coach can never be among the list.

That is why the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona continue ruling.

but when talking of tactically brilliant coaches a mourinho will always be ahead of a guardiola ermm bros what makes u think a Chelsea team that played to formation would lose to a team blinded by tiki taka

Did I say Coach Oliseh did not do a good job with the team and does not deserve an applause for the improvement in our set pieces?

I saod you can not use accurate set pieces to tag a coach as brilliant. Brilliant tacticians like Villas Boas at Porto had his team scoring freely. Just like Guardiola at Barca and Hynckes at Bayern Munich.

You judge tactical brilliance by how a team scores in open play.

Think of the best coaches like Arrigo Sacchi, Fabio Capello, Johan Cruyff etc. It is how freely their teams scored goals that we use to know how tactically sound the coach is. Not set pieces.
when u quoted me u refused to admit seeing improvements these were ur words
" Are you saying that you have seen
signs of improvement in Coach
Oliseh's game?"
but now u say u have seen improvements in set pieces bros are u simply confused or u want to blindly defend ur legend.

I do not know about you but anyone who knew my stance when Amaju Pinnick appointed Coach Oliseh knows it is not far or different from Coach Westerhof's stance.

Coach Oliseh had no single experience. His appointment was a blunder for a country that is suppose to aim for the apex of the game.

If you expect Coach Westerhof to praise such mediocrity, then you are wrong.

I am standing behind Coach Oliseh because he will do everything in his power to make the team win. Just as he risked his life with acute typhoid to coach the team. Coach Oliseh wants this team to succeed badly and I believe his passion and dedication can lead us to success.

It does not mean he was the right choice, or even close to it. He is our coach now and his success is Nigeria's Success.

Westerhof coached Nigeria with perfection, it is only right for him to expect that from the coaches and the NFF.
u still haven't pointed out the part of d article were u saw constructive criticism or how scoring from set pieces which was totally absent in the world cup isn't an improvement or how a win against Swaziland equals failure to qualify for the WC ........ so till den ....
thank u sir

Sir, you and I know Westerhof is entitled to his opinion not only as a human or football follower/observer but as Nigeria's greatest and most successful Football manager and coach.

He was simply harping on Oliseh's inexperience as with some others did at the time of "this news article"

BUT EVEN AS THAT, IT'S ALL UP TO OLISEH TO "SHUT UP" THAT SIDE OF WESTERHOF.

Oliseh has to prove Westerhof wrong. I pray he does but Westerhof won't "really" wish the team failure and is entitled to his opinions.

*smiles*

being entitled to opinions doesn't mean some opinions are correct na.anyway all am saying sha is that his opinion of oliseh are sounding too hateful and if he can't be optimistic I am entitled to opinion of shutting him up b4 oliseh does that
thank u sir

This is an article I found when Sunday oliseh was appointed as the coach shey now u can see that westerhoff doesn't mean well for the oliseh 1st of all he wasn't fit for the job now he is winning and gradually changing the eagles u say we may not qualify with oliseh if this article was about nacho dem go say na pessimism no p oh kontinue.........

Sunday Oliseh Not Fit To Coach
Nigeria's Super Eagles - Former
Technical Adviser, Clemens
Westerhof
According to the Dutchman, Oliseh,
his former player, lacks the technical
capability to lead the team, especially
in this crucial time given the sack of
former coach, Stephen Keshi. He
also maintained the NFF is
committing a blunder by hiring a
greenhorn coach who does not have
the requisite experience to handle
the team.

Westerhof said thrash? Ridiculous. This is a man that led Super Eagles to 3 AFCON tourney's in two of them, we finished with a bronze medal and in the third, we won it.

The Cameroun match is a sign of great things we can do but we need to do it consistently as we did under Westerhof. There is no room for the kind of display we made against Swaziland.

So please, no who is speaking before you call it thrash. Sometimes when men like these speak, you keep quiet and listen.
u have not been able to justify his words oh u kip on happing on his person OK explain if u watched the match and other matches since oliseh began explain y oliseh might not qualify us and explain the no sign of improvement bullshit that oga westerhoff said.
this issue is not about who westerhoff is or what he has done but what he said so when quoting me don't bring the he won us d galaxy cup line

If you think a draw and a 2-0 win is impressive, then pay attention to Coach Westerhof. He said he is not impressed that we should be beating countries like this with 6 or 7 goals. That is what the coach expects from Coach Oliseh.

We the fans should also expect Coach Oliseh to do that because he has the ability and the talents at his disposal.
am not impressed with the 2-0 win but that's not a sign that oliseh would fail cuz if so den the 3-0 against Cameroon is a sign oliseh will achieve so much and remind me in westerhoff's 1st matches which 1 did he win with 6 or 7 goal difference.
call a spade a spade westerhoff said THRASH

Come on Sir Basco. Relax ok. I'm certain Westerhof means well.

He only said and I quote, "I'm sorry,........... The Super Eagles MAY not go to the world cup........"

He wasn't exactly "certain" about it. He's just expressing an opinion based on his observations and more.

We both (as with several others here) love the Super Eagles. So I say the ball is in Oliseh's court TO PROVE WESTERHOF WRONG.

I believe he can. But it doesn't matter what I believe. What matters is what Oliseh believes.

Please, just free Westerhof. Besides, you and I know his legend and contributions to Nigerian soccer. Yes, we had "The Players/Talents" that made up the "first" Golden Generation (yep... I use first because a second will rise and fully mature soon-within 2yrs as latest) but it was one man's Nurturing and coaching that transformed these bunch of "Isolated Super Talents" into a "Fearsome Super
Team".

This team included Oliseh(current SE coach), Amunike (current U-17 GE coach), **you know the rest**

Come on, you know better than this. He deserves the highest respects no matter what.

*smiles*

westerhoff might mean well but those are not d words of a man dat means well.when he was told that the team was rebuilding he said THERE IS NO SIGN THAT IT WILL GET BETTER.
oya guy in less than 10 matches we have seen a new side to the super eagles (set piece) so wat signs does he want again he commented like some1 full of heat it wasn't a criticism cuz he didn't criticise anything not to talk of it being constructive sef

Do not tell the legendary coach to shut up. Westerhof revolutionized Nigerian football and put the structure we are enjoying today.

His team was too brilliant and we were rated as the fifth best team in the World. We played any team without fear. The Italian team that knocked us out of the '94 World Cup was the second best team in the World and with the best player in the World, Roberto Baggio.

Westerhof changed the lives of a lot of youngsters and made them super stars. Where did Van Gaal see Finidi George to sign him? Watching Finidi play for Westerhof. Westerhof used to have primary school footballers come and watch the Super Eagles train.

He was a visionary man and treated us like his own. If anyone has the right to caution Coach Oliseh when he is Faltering, it is the Legend, Coach Clemens Westerhof.

He did too much for us for any Nigerian to tell him to shut up.
every single person has a right to caution oliseh how does winning a qualifier match now relate to with oliseh we may not qualify for the world cup.oliseh has good statistics already he has won more matches than he has lost or drawn all these are good signs that we will qualify so wtf is westerhoff saying.
westerhoff won d afcon keshi did that too he got to round of 16 keshi did that too when trying to criticise simply don't do it the scholes way.

How hard working on the pitch is Sergio Busquets. Does that make his contribution low? Busquets is one of the best, if not the best defensive midfielder of this footballing generation.

What matters is your impact on the team and the way Chelsea crumbled when Mikel leaves the pitch tells a lot of how important he is.
now sit down carefully clear ur mind and ask urself this question does Barcelona style of play require a hardworking DM
then 2nd question : who is more hardworking busquet vs Mikel

I was among those who pointed out a lot of weaknesses in Matic's game. That was two seasons ago. When Chelsea signed Matic, they were above Liverpool and the Citizens were first. Later Chelsea reached the top of the table.

They fell from that position and finished behind Man City and Liverpool.

I pointed out most especially the game Crystal Palace beat Chelsea. They walked through the Chelsea midfield like knife through butter.

In two games in particular, you can see Mourinho pull out Mikel and immediately, you see Chelsea crumble. Matic can not have that effect.

This season, Mourinho brought Matic from the bench in a game and took him off in less than ten minutes. That can not haplen to OBI my man.

The way Mikel handled the Spanish National team at the World Club Cup, Matic can never do that in his life time.

So does this look like this season's talk?
funny
so Chelsea being top and later falling behind to Liverpool and city is matics fault right? no matter how hard u try u won't find fault on matics side our failure that season was d fault of TORRES AND ETO.
if u can blame matic for this then u must surely blame Mikel for Chelsea not qualifying for the UCL and having to use the "defending champions" card to qualify
mourinho pulling off Mikel and Chelsea crumbled all happened this season na even matic being pulled off early happened this season purely because he is in bad form presently all Chelsea first team players are all in bad form so this season cannot be used as a yardstick.
Mikel vs Spain? when last did he match such a performance in a blue shirt even the match he was paired with loftus cheek dis season I think it was an fa cup against a lower division team loftus cheek did better
Mikel and matic can't be compared oh MATIC is head and shoulders above our brother take note
