The federal government will begin adjusting the salaries of civil servants to reflect the new minimum wage
- This is as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Gida Mustapha, on Monday, June 17, inaugurated a 22-man committee to achieve this
- On its part, the head of the committee, led by the head of the civil service of the federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, said it will do it utmost to achieve positive results

After its inauguration of a 22-man committee on Monday, June 17, to negotiate the adjustment of salaries of workers to reflect the new national minimum wage, the federal government gave the group one month to come up with positive results.
The committee, inaugurated by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Gida Mustapha, is led by the head of the civil service of the federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, Daily Trust reports.

Some of the members of the committee are the ministers of labour and employment, budget and national planning, education, health and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and the minister of justice.

Others members of the committee are director general, budget office of the federation, secretary, federal judicial service commission, secretary, National Assembly Service Commission, and chairman, national salaries, incomes and wages commission will serve as member/ and secretary.
Speaking to the committee, the SGF said that its key duty will be to negotiate the consequential adjustment in salaries arising from the new national minimum wage.

Mustapha said: “I have no doubt in my mind that you have abundant literature, reports and other materials to help this assignment. The duration of the assignment is four clear weeks from this inauguration. It is expected that the Committee will work assiduously to complete the assignment.”

This committee was inaugurated last month 14th was supposed to submit their report 12th June, last week labour unions rejected the proposal from the govt on the adjustments, meaning their negotiations met a brick wall, right now labour unions leaders are in Geneva for ILO global meeting.... negotiations will continue when they return. My take, this govt is totally not serious about the minimum wage period. This publication is over one month old, presently there are no ministers, yet to constitute new cabinet.

My brother... Reason for the chart,if you want to pay 30k use the chart exactly,above 30k and below 30k,you renegotiate with state wing NLC,TUC,JNC. States will be doing that this month. Arrears effective April,my worry,Governments does not regard ARREARS.

The National Salaries, Incomes,And Wages Commission has the statutory powers to guide Governments accordinly in that regards,until they release that pay chart(template) nothing will happen. The reason NLC and TUC gave them 2 weeks.

In the spirit of workers day celebrations,The Deputy Governor assured workers the following: promotion embargo lifted,once FG release the new salary template,it will be implemented,employment embargo lifted... Fingers crossed,i pray let the HEAVENS supervise these good gesture from RVSG. Happy workers day to you ALL.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) Wednesday approved a new scheme that is targeted at creating employment for 60,000 Nigerians aged 18-25 years.

The Minister of Budget and Planning, Udoma Udoma said the new scheme is called the N-Power knowledge multi-track youth empowerment programme.

Udoma said this while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the meeting of the council chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said under the scheme, 12,000 unemployed or under-employed graduates aged 18-25 yrs will be trained and given relevant devices afterwards.

FEC should be extremely ashamed for telling employers to use 18-25yrs as CAP for employment...what a NATION!

Wife of the senior pastor of the Fountain of Life church in Lagos, Nomthi Odukoya, took to her Instagram page to praise Sunmbo Adeoye who recently welcomed a son with her husband, David Adeoye, after 5 years of marriage.

According to Pastor Nomthi, Sunmbo went through many trials before she welcomed her son, David. Posting via her Instagram page, she wrote;

"If you and I ever get to talk about strong women, I would definitely mention @sunmboadeoye ‘s name. You don’t want to know how many expected due dates she received before David, that she didn’t get to see.

But she still kept her smile and kept on trusting God. One time she left from the hospital straight to the pulpit to preach in a conference without anyone knowing that she had just lost her baby. What about last year when she had to return back home alone from a trip where she went to have a baby and still moved on with her life.

I can’t count the number of times blogs reported she was pregnant after a loss because of the bloated tummy.
To God be the glory, David is here and she has victory over miscarriages.

She is a blessing to womanhood. God eventually came through for her. I just had to make out time to congratulate her. God will come through for you too in yoursituation?.
