blackjack21: The sokoto caliph is the leader of Muslims in Nigeria. Now don't tell me you don't know what leadership means.
Now stop wondering how people think, help yourself and upgrade your reasoning capacity so that you will understand why people reason the way they do.
THE QUESTION IS ..IS THE SOKOTO CALIPH LEADER OF HAUSA MUSLIM IN NIGERIA OR LEADER OF ALL MUSLIM IN NIGERIA EVEN ASARI? I WONDER WHAT MAKES YOU PEOPLE THINK THAT EVERYTHING LEADERSHIP IS ASCRIBED TO NORTH I LEARNT THAT A YORUBA MUSLIM CANT LEAD PRAYERS IN A MOSQUE WHERE THERE IS HAUSA FULANI MUSLIM SO WHY LOOK DOWN ON SOUTHERN MUSLIM I JUST DONT KNOW WHY THEY (MUSLIM IN SOUTH) BELIEVE AND BUY INTO THIS SOKOTO THING AND MUSLIM STUFF... |

If the caliphate were to call him on mandatory religious duty he will answer the call. The caliphate, in my understanding, is not about northerners, but about muslims and Islam.
I don't like his rants though. what makes you think so? are all muslim subject to that dude in sokoto, i wonder how people reason. what is sokoto caliphate in relation to muslim. |

henryskywalker2003: Nice list @OP. But to correct an error that is consistently being made by many, the Dein of Agbor isn't the youngest crowned king and never held that title for one day. Here is a list of others far younger than him.
1. Emperor Puyi Of China. Crowned when he was 2 years in 1908
2. Pomare III of Tahiti. Crowned when he was 17 months
3. Henry VI of England and France. Crowned when he was 8 months in 1422.
4. Sobhuza II of Swaziland. Crowned when he was 4 months old.
5. Emperor Shang of Han. Crowned when he was 100 days old.
6. Tsar Ivan VI of Russia. Crowned when he was 2 months old.
7. Mary Queen of Scots. Crowned when she was 6 days old. (Her father, James was crowned when he was 17 months and her son was crowned when he was 13 months).
8. John I of France. Became King right from the day he was born. (His father has died four months earlier)
9. Alfonso XIII of Spain. Became King from the day he was born May 17, 1886.
10. Shah Shapur II of Sassanid Empire (Persian). Legend has it that in year 309, Persian nobles placed a crown upon the belly of King Hormizd II’s widow. Inside was history’s first fetal king: Shah Shapur II. The in utero ruler was the ninth leader of the Sassanid Empire, a powerful Persian kingdom covering modern Iran. Shapur II ruled for 70 years. In the late 4th century, he successfully ousted Christianity from the Middle East. nice |

Do you know that as a se or ss person, you are already a disadvantaged citizen in Nigerian system? despite the oil that comes from igbo villages they not given any leeway. i dont blame you. you hold this position cos you have never lived outside enugu and so have no experience of interaction with others as an igbo. GEJ is the best thing to happen to Nigeria. GEJ is the best thing to happen to Igbo, Gej is the best thing to happen to you.you only have to open your eyes to see that GEJ is doing and has done GOOD work. if you choose to close your eyes to gejs achievements but rather use them to look at an illitrate islamist terrorist as the alternative/change you are in trouble alone. you will do your concience and Nigeria good by appreciating the tangible effort and milestones of a good man although you will say GEJ is bad GEJ has spent 5years + as President of over 170m people and they want him to overnight turn Nigeria into a paradise. They call him names, Clueless, Foolish, some even said he is silly e.t.c. But... (1) He built 150 almajiri schools. Yet Goodluck is bad. (2) He revived railway that was comatose for over 28yrs. In the history of Nigeria, is only in his government the opposition controlled large number of states and controlled greater number of seats in the National Assembly.. Yet Goodluck is bad. (20) Under his government, political assassination and assassination of high profile Nigerians is now a thing of the past. Who killed Dele Giwa, Bola Ige,FunshoWilliams,Marshall Harry, Aminisoari Dikibo,Alfred Rewane, Ken Saro Wiwa, Kudirat Abiola,NBA chairman Barnabas Igwe andhis wife Abigail Igwe? In whose governments were all these murdered? I can go on and give you about 100 high profile political assassination in Obasanjo's civilian rule alone.. Yet President Goodluck Jonathan is bad and so unacceptable to you. (21) GEJ approved 2,564 vehicles for police for free and fair elections and some bad eggs still complain that he is not working. We HAVE DREAM THAT ONE DAY NIGERIANS WILL BE JUDGED NOT BY THE DIALECT THEY SPEAK BUT BY THE CONTENT OF THEIR CHARACTER. buJu234: @ tonychristopher:
i also found that most of the land are controlled by the Urhobo clans ;Ejeba; Ogunnu; Egurudu Urhobo; Odumusobo; Okumagba layout; Essi Layout; Igubu; Agbassa and going by wat someone said above Cementary rd; Iyara; stadium (in colored because i am not really sure)
while Ijaw controls NPA water side; Part of GRA ; the deep water side
Itsekiri controls Ajamogha; Eguredu Itsekiri;Ugbagbvwe; part of GRA (including nana college side); part of Okere rd; Ubeji (though someone said thats nt part of warri).
so going by land control; the Urhobo tribe/clan controls abt or more than 50%-60% of the warri dry land; while Itsekiri controls abt 20%-30% and the rest belong to Ijaws;
thats why u find that the OLU authority doesnt cross Itsekiri controlled area which is abt 20%-30% of warri metropolis.
I think this may support the Urhobo clam to b the Original owners of warri; that the so called OLU of warri is OLU of Itsekiri and also support why the pigin english contains more of Urhobo language in it that either Itsekiri or Ijaw.
i may post more when I come across more information. WONDERFUL SUBMISSION, DEVIOD OF RANCOUR AND TRIBALISM I LOVE THIS |
