absoluteSuccess:
what the op call rat in Nigerian perspective is better known as rabbit,

A rat in the perspective painted by the op is 'all inclusive' for ulterior motives.
Rabbit is rabbit and rat is rat

Rabbit is the one with wooly body and long ears and rat have long tails and vermin

They are all rodents

I have seen people eat big rat in Lagos
Grasscutter is basically bush rat

Hmmmm islam again...but let me come to their defence

Is Shiite a group or a denomination

If it is a group I think the army is right
But if they are denomination of a religion ..then army would be daft to make such a statement

Just like saying that pentecostals wants to assisinate
If shitte is a name of a person

The army should get him instead of twitting

They should forget this twitter thing and focus on what is at hand. And to me that is security of human

Freedom of speech...hmmm social media is under attack
Stock exchange ...investors are pulling out moneys because naira is now becoming tissue paper
State ...most states have gone clueless and in comatose like osun and ekiti
Diplomacy ....hmmm the biafran guys are firing from all cylinders and KANu seems to be on his way to be beatified and made a marry
Terrorism ...boko haram ain't smiling lately
Nigerians ....they seems to know that dummy is been sold...waiting for their 5000

Whynis it that Muslims are just daft and slow ...if evidences are Presented to you ..you will call crusade that happened centuries ago

We are talking contemporary times and islam is a virus that must be killed

The crusade was caused as a result if Islamic movement and wanting to takeover of holy land and led by one Islamic rascal called Saladin....the Christian Europe organised themselves to annihilate them. This they did successfully ..today Jerusalem is in tact and today the Christian Europe and works has gathered again to annihilate that ISIL rascals..Russian can even bomb them from St Petersburg and nothinf will happen

I'm not sure Islam is really a religion of peace as they claim because no other religion has caused the death of so many people in this world.

On 7 March every year, in a remote village in the hills of north-east India, the Adi tribe celebrates Unying-Aran, an unusual festival with rats as the culinary centrepiece. One of the Adi’s favourite dishes is a stew called bule-bulak oying, made with the rat’s stomach, intestines, liver, testes, foetuses, all boiled together with tails and legs plus some salt, chili and ginger.

Rats were eaten in China during the Tang dynasty (618-907 AD) and called “household deer”. One speciality eaten during the Tang dynasty was new-born rats stuffed with honey, “conveniently snatching them with chopsticks“, the authors say.

“In pre-European times [New Zealand’s] South Island was a major source of kiore, which were preserved and eaten in vast quantities, normally in early winter,” According to the Encyclopedia of New Zealand, the kiore was considered a delicacy served to visitors and even used as a currency, exchanged at ceremonies such as weddings.

Rats are eaten regularly in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, parts of the Philippines and Indonesia, Thailand, Ghana, China and Vietnam, says Grant Singleton, from the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines.

In Africa, some communities have a long tradition of eating rats. In Nigeria, for instance, the African giant rat is a favourite among all ethnic groups, says Mojisola Oyarekua, from the University of Science and Technology Ifaki-Ekiti (Usti) Nigeria. “It is regarded as a special delicacy and it is more expensive than equivalent weight of cow meat or fish. It is delicious and can be eaten as roasted, dried or boiled,” he says.

Rats may not be currently on the menu of your favourite neighbourhood restaurant, but as we move into a more globalised world with more adventurous diners, it is not unreasonable to think that rodents could one day feature on Western menus more frequently. Just give it a try. You might like it. After all, for some, it is the most delicious meat they have ever tasted.

Nairaland GeneralNigeria’s Top Videos Of 2015, Rev Mbaka Vs GEJ & Mama Patience, Tops It by tonychristopher(op): 9:51am On Dec 11, 2015
YouTube Rewind: Nigeria’s Top Videos of 2015

Bobo, Ololufe, Lekki Robbery, Rev Mbaka vs GEJ & Mama Patience, Xenophobic attack; Here are the 2015 Top trending YouTube videos in Nigeria.

As we draw the curtain on an incredible 2015, it’s time to take our annual look at the videos, moments and channels that shaped our year. The 2015 list, which includes the biggest viral hits from the most popular channels in the country shows that politics, the elections and of course, music, are still very critical in driving pop culture in Nigeria.

Not surprisingly, Politics was a hot topic on the Nigerian list this year, as the presidential election and its aftermath loomed large in the minds of Nigerians. Occupying the 5th and 10th position on the top trending non-music videos list are the audio file of Ex-president GEJ’s congratulatory call to Pres. Buhari, and Rev. Mbaka’s outburst concerning President GEJ’s re-election campaign.

However, it wasn’t only about the serious stuff alone, as AYTV’s take on ‘Election Results’, Sahara TV’s satirical video on the exit of ‘Patience & Goodluck Jonathan from Aso Rock Staff’ and Bovi TV’s ‘The Innocent Man’ kept the country in stitches.

Also making the top 10 list are the moments that sent shock waves across the nation. The ‘alarming confession of nanny who kidnapped Orekoya children’ and the Lekki Robbery which occurred in march are two of such videos that also made the top-10 list.

Street-type interviews are also fast becoming a top favorite with Nigerian YouTube viewers- a sign that Nigerians want to be involved in deciding the direction of trending stories. Topping the list and holding the much coveted position of Most trended video in Nigeria in 2015 was the street interview on the Xenophobic attacks in South Africa. The video which was uploaded in April has been watched more than 650k times.

In the music category, CEO of top music label “Yahoo Boy No Laptop” (YBNL), Olamide has been a clear favourite, with his runaway hits ‘Bobo’, ‘Falila Ketan’, ‘Melo Melo’ and ‘Lagos Boys’ making the list of music videos Nigerian feet dancing in 2015.

The gravity-defying moves of Psquare put ‘Collabo’ firmly on the list, which is dominated by videos from Nigeria’s music industry, including Flavour and Chidinma’s ‘Ololufe’, ‘Woju remix’ by Kiss Daniel, and WizKid’s tribute to ‘Ojuelegba’. Wiz Khalifa flies the flag for only foreign artist on the Nigerian list, with ‘See You Again’ from the cinema hit Furious 7.

Globally, the top trending videos of 2015 include Watch Me (Whip /NaeNae) from Silento; The official Super Bowl TV Commercial for Clash of Clans: Revenge, The Crazy Plastic Ball PRANK and the hilarious Lip Sync battle between Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart and Jimmy Fallon.

The top 5 music videos worldwide are the Furious 7 soundtrack, See You Again by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth; Sugar by Maroon 5; Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do; Lean On by Major Lazer & Dj Snake and Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood, featuring Kendrick Lamar.

@Seun

Let me add that you should have employed a PR specialist to advice you on this. Your tittle should appear neutral even if you had something else in mind.

It shouldn't have been addressed to any specific tribe or group. It should have simply said,

Dear Nairalanders,

Nairaland is devoted to promoting Nigeria as a single indivisible entity. As such we do not subscribe to being used to promote any secessionist theory or goal.

To this end all posts that promote division or session in whatever form will no longer be allowed on Nairaland, as it goes against our values. This new rule will therefore affect all calls for Biafra, Oodua Republic, Niger Delta Republic, Arewa Republic etc

Violation of this new rule will attract an automatic ban.

Thank you for understanding and I hope your stay on Nairaland continues to be fun, engaging and insightful.

God Bless Nairaland, God Bless Nigeria.

Wishing the best of the Season and a wonderful 2016.
