The Nigerian Universities Commission has directed the Nigerian University Vice-Chancellors to reopen the institutions on January 18 in line with the Presidential Task Force Directive on Covid 19.
Nigerian Universities have been shut down for nine months following a nine months strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
In a statement released, the deputy executive secretary (Administration) of the NUC, Chris Maiyaki, mandated officers on Grade Level 12 and below to remain at home for a period of five weeks as earlier directed by the federal government.

He urged university authorities to safeguard lives by strictly adhering to the extant safety protocols and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines, which have been communicated severally to the Nigerian University System through NUC’s circulars.
“I am to add that universities on resumption of academic activities, must under no circumstance violate the full cycle of the semester system, consistent with the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) approved by the NUC, as well as other extant quality assurance standards and guidelines,” the statement added.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s marriage is said to be headed for the rocks as a divorce may be in the offing soon.
Multiple entertainment platforms including TMZ and Page Six are reporting that the couple is headed for divorce.

The report claims that Kim and Kanye have been having serious issues in their marriage for the most part of 2020 and have been living apart for several months now with Kim and the kids in LA and Kanye at his ranch in Wyoming.
They got married in a lavish celebrity wedding in 2014 and have four children together.

The Managing Director of First City Monument Bank, Adam Nuru has been forced to go on leave as the bank launches an investigation into the paternity scandal against him.
An official statement from the bank read: “We are aware of several stories circulating across several media platforms about our bank’s Managing Director, Adam Nuru; a former employee, Mrs Moyo Thomas, and her deceased husband, Mr Tunde Thomas.
“While this is a personal matter, the tragedy of the death of Mr Tunde Thomas and the allegations of unethical conduct require the bank’s board to conduct a review of what transpired, any violations of our code of ethics and the adequacy of this code of ethics.
“This is already under way. During the period of the review, the managing director has volunteered to proceed on leave. This will guarantee the sanctity of the review process.
“We enjoin all our stakeholders to bear with us as we conduct this review and to please respect the various families involved.”
Close to two thousand people have signed a petition on change.org to force the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to fire him from the bank.
Moyo Thomas, the erstwhile employee of the bank was said to have told her late husband Tunde Thomas that their two kids weren’t his and belonged to the embattled MD. He was said to have suffered a stroke as a result of the shock and then later recovered. He moved on by getting engaged to a lady before passing on two days to their introduction due to cardiac arrest.

Founding Leader of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has his doubts about covid 19.
He said this during a sermon where he questioned the wearing of facemasks and lockdowns as a preventive measure.
He was quoted to have said: It is wrong to compel everybody to follow the findings of questionable individuals. It is wrong. I say this to you, these are simple things., simple truths. If you cannot ask the right questions, then you open yourself to destruction.
Ask yourself, what is the evidence that wearing of masks works? They told you so. I have done enormous research on it. The question is, have you?
Don’t just listen because somebody said so or the W.H.O said so. I disagree with the W.H.O for clear reasons. They have made too many mistakes and they don’t apologise. They just change their minds and expect us to just follow. Remember, they didn’t drop from heaven into W.H.O. We can ask them questions. They are not gods. Even God accepts questions and he answers. Why can’t we ask these ones?
If you have the scientific evidence that lockdown works, provide it. So far, the nations that have been most compliant have had their numbers skyrocketing because they are not true”

”I have sent people to go to the hospitals we were told were full. In many of the hospitals, they found very few or no sick people or patients. A lot of the hospital wards were empty and I have videos to provide you. So this was all a fraud and this COVID19 is not a killer disease as you were told.”

Veteran Nollywood Director, Chico Ejiro is dead. He passed on today after having a seizure. He only finished directing his latest movie on Christmas Eve.
Born Chico Maziakpono in Isoko, Delta State, Ejiro was a movie director, screenwriter, and producer.
Before his death, he held the record of the Nollywood director with the highest number of released movies. He says he has produced and directed over 85 movies in his career in the span of three decades.
He was married to Joy Ejiro and they had four children; he was the younger brother to veteran Nollywood Producer, Zeb Ejiro.
