benuejosh: Gov. Alia and a crop of former governor Gabriel Suswam, House of Rep member Solomon Wombo, Paul Biam (Chief of staff to the governor) to mention but a few are the ones fighting Akume.
Austine Agada is the State Chairman and Alia with the support of those mentioned above is hell bent on removing him so as to take away the hands of Sen. Dr. George Akume (Secretary to the Government of the Federation) off politics in Benue State. They feel it is their time to be political leaders in the State and Akume's time is over.
Alia wants Akume to consult with him on every political decision taken in the state by Akume.
That's the only thing happening in Benue. But nobody fights Akume and wins. He should ask Suswam and Ortom the past governors of the state.
There's more to this than i can type.
Summary of it all is that Gov. Alia wants to become the godfather of politics in Benue. He wants to dismantle in totality anything Akume has built politically in Benue State.
Austine Agada has done nothing wrong as the Chaiman of the party in the State. That is the first person to bring down in the state chapter of the party to be able to loosen little the grip of Dr. George Akume as the party leader in the state.
As a matter of fact, Gov. Alia is being called the Ambode of Benue in the state currently by the political class and masses.
So the Rev Fr Governor don turn to Godfather? From Ur write up other governors fought akume and lost..... YET BENUE IS SUCH UNDERDEVELOPED. It is a shame if the man still dictates what happens in the state.
richidinho: Check the chairman that signed the letter first
All the 3 major party did parallel primary
nothing like parallel primary in LP. several times apapa jas being thrown of window. recent elections in Imo, Bayelsa, Kogi are there. Supreme court has also ruled against the old rag. He is just a nuisance for media sensation.
Any good laptop repairer or nlknow anyone that is good in repairing laptop within Lagos? The screen of the laptop is having issue. It is flickering and showing some lines at the top part. Model is HP, elitebook 230 G
PoliteActivist: *Politeness* You folks only focus on the short term downside. How about all the benefits I mentioned: no more rountripping, blackmarketing, the inherent corruption, japa of our youth, brains, visa and flight ticket money, etc. And how did we get here? Is it not through defending naira? Do you realise to what extent Nigerians at home will be going to earn in dollars? Add to that those in the diaspora working harder and taking more risks (419, drugs, yahoo). All that money will ALL be spent in Nigeria. A friend was going to buy something for me when returning from abroad, but due to currency float she told me it is better to buy it in Nigeria. The multiplier effect is much. I don't see how Nigeria can possibly lose in the long run.
See below, what I was saying. This person has already found "ways"
Blah blah blah.
Go convince uneducated or unexposed person with Ur lies. Dollar will reach 5000naira soon.
PoliteActivist: *Politeness* What do you understand as "invest"? It includes lands and buildings and buying anything that's for sale because currency will makes it cheaper than where they are (which is how China maintains a trade surplus with most countries). Also vacations and very long vacations, insecurity or not (that's just human nature)
Stories..
People are buying properties in UK, US, Canada and other European countries instead of china ..... Ask yourself WHY??
China gives cheap labour and production.... Not currency. It is why many companies relocated some production units to the place.
Chukwuka319: I thought that under BAT administration,ASUU won't have any reason to complain about their welfare, but obviously the contrary is gradually becoming the case.
govt cannot afford to allow ASUU go on strike because that will let studrnts loose. the result be bad
adecrown1989: To some extent it's good given some of the reasons stated above but for the common man out there who is just trying to survive with menial job, eat drink transport etc it's of no much benefit.
Nigeria is an import dependent country, asides from oil we only export raw materials and import most of our basic needs. Floating the dollar leads to inflation which means cost of basic things a common man needs to survive in Nigeria will be high meanwhile salaries and some incomes are not increasing which means people will find it difficult to survive leading to high suicide and crime rates.
Well if government can improve infrastructure and basic amenities like Good roads, Electricity, better business policies, easy access to Loan etc it will encourage local production, less japaing, attracts foreign investors, reduce dependance on importation and there by the naira starts to gain value back
those things listed and some of the variables that control price. let govt be deceiving people with lies n propanganda...after a while the result will speak for it self.
darediamond: China export processed or finished Goods while Nigeria export Raw and or Natural Resources which we are not even the one that determines there prices.
Currency Devaluation helps developed Nations not chronic under-developed Nations which Nigeria is one of. Do not let the IMPERIALIST FOOL YOU LIKE THE DID WITH SOME OF OTHER AFRICANS.
Thank you. I believe he knows what he is doing. One of those paid agents whose work is to support govt policies despite the massive failure. Even if a loaf of bread 🍞 becomes 5000, which it will reach, they will defend govt. Let's be ready for N5000 note minting by CBN.

Rushing to mention China. Oga property keep loosing value because of inflation and constant devaluation. Let naira remain stable for 5-8 years then Ur analysis will make some sense. Stop deceiving people with Ur investment analysis when international companies are folding up in the country because of govt policies ( mostly devaluation). 10$ brought in as investment 5years ago was about 4400Naira, Now if u change it to dollar it at rate of 1450, it is less than 4$.
Countries don't float currency without strong mechanisms of control.
PoliteActivist: *Politeness* I modified my post. See above. It is not economic jargon, it is common sense. If my money can buy more in your house, I'd like your house and buy stuff from your house... until I realize I'm giving you all my money!
No sense in all. Why do people go to invest in UK and USA?? An investment of N200,000 last year is worth less than N150,000 now assuming the company is making profit o. U don't rush to invest in place where money is floating and falling like packs. Zimbabwe, Venezuela and co are examples. In Nigeria, Naira will keep falling because govt is not providing many basic things to help investment or productivity. As much as there is high insecurity... Inflation will keep eating up everything.
Solsix: Yes that's the pattern. The present president blames the past and the cycle keep on going without find any tangible solution to our problems. Mind you it was tinubu and south west goons supported buhari not once but twice to finish up Nigeria. There is no way u can talk about Nigeria's woes without mentioning tinubu.
They keep repeating the blame game. The current administration is borrowing massively to live lavishly while the masses suffer. No change at all....that's all I see.
So the Nigerian police can't find her? The same police that quickly provides suspects when a crime affects a politician?
But why are some people so cruel? Don't they have conscience? Whoever uses a hot iron on a fellow human is a murderer. If you check well, that woman has ended a life in the past.
Minister just want to be in the news, and seen doing something. The lady and her family are not on the run.
Nicepoker: All four of them? Is a lie. Na only one of them no gree.
We Know they are playing publicity stunt. If it is one, others can kill that one and go with the money. Perhaps the cut back is very much, then they rejected the offer.
badoh: At this period, people should stop embarking on travels that are not critical and highly important. Since the govt is overwhelmed with these weekly kidnapping, people should not risk their lifes. In the alternatives, these transport companies should hire 2 soldiers each to escort them and spread the cost of hiring soldiers on the transport cost.
Can't happen, army is overwhelmed. If done the country will be weakened.
sketching: The CURRENT process has been taken over by scammers, especially targeting the lines of older people, Nigerians in diaspora, and those with significant bank transactions (allegedly).
If authorities are serious about solving this issue, they should investigate and prosecute those who allegedly duplicated subscribers' NINs (isn't that fraud punishable by up to 2 years in jail?).

Shady92: Yes you are right, i have been using my galaxy A50 for 4 years now. No single issue, its still serving well.
Fair enough, Xiaomi is still trying. my phone is was ok until the upgrade 3days ago. it is fair to say that complacency is coming in, considering they have a very large market share in phone industry, competing with Samsung hotly. this may have given rise to much complaints by customers on recent devices( midrange 2021 gadgets up).
tonyson010: i will say that 3years is not too long if quality is seriously considered.
I upgraded my RN8 from Android 9 to 11 3days ago. now my phone is taking forever to charge. it also discharge quicker but SLIGHTLY RELATIVELY faster which is acceptable. not a fan of MIUI as I have been using Smart launcher since the 1st month I bought it in 2020.
Now, I need to fix it, whole searching for Poco F3 which is on my mind or good Snapdragon with 5G.
Nonetheless, Xiaomi still holds it place in the phone industry
Meister: You enjoyed a phone for 3 years it now spoiled and you have this amount of hate for it after it served you diligently for 3 years, contact igemburg like you were told and hope for the best
