Biafra rep: Ondo and Akwa Ibom are states not cities so re-phrase. Igbos are not more bigoted than Yorubas, it boils down to individual perception and world view but note that either by omission or Commission, that 98% of Nairalanders are always biased and sentimentally attached to their respective ethnic group.

Okija juju:

Hhahahahahahaaaaa

Why should I bad belle wetin no go affect me.. grin

I simply want to hold our governments to a certain level of standard. Even by local government standards, this market is f*cking poor. Especially now that we are expecting a year of heavy down pour of rains.

How much does it cost to build a proper mordern market? This thing is not fit for 2013.

Look at the markets Fashola built in Lagos?

E be like say you and your people dey forbid better thing.
and u mr okija u dey talk about modern market,u dey compare akwa ibom, lagos and rivers state with oyo state,u don forget say dem dey collect huge as huge money pass oyo meanwhile, the population and land mass 4 ibadan sef big pass some states, abeg where dem one see d money build such a massive mega mall like wey u dey imagine sef #ikeja city mall in ur mind I guess#bro na true u talk, o atleast we gazz they project 4 d future but as far as me dey concern o that market is good enough if lock shop don dey inside e don do o,even better sef,go tell ur governor make him build him own make we see,I no dey talk about shoprite wey high class business man go occupy o,assin modern mall as u project wey all those mama emeka and mr ebuka too go fit use and pay. But wait o,I go like see this new ibadan market pics,I no fit watch video now

Desola: This is lovely. I am so far impressed by the doings of the ACN governors. I just hope that they maintain this same momentum so that Ondo can open their eyes to the treacherous fool they installed as governor. I used to tout for that swine but now I know better.

ACN all the way! For as long as they continue to be true though. I would cast my vote to change them at the drop of a hat if they show signs of going the PDP way.

Sai Yoruba land!
and you must be so stupid for calling a man old enough to be your father fool, wait o,how is he a fool?
When the same mimiko started constructing same markets allover the state,na u tinubu asslickers they call him name, dey misyarn rubbish say na local government dey build such market,u pple get problem I swear, eyin amunibuni eye ibiye yii, mimiko may not be the best but him don try, later u go come here dey shout one opon ofo like say na every osun students don get am,anything outside A C N na bad tin 4 u,and FYI u tinubu and aregbe ass lickers next time u pple are talking about A C N or APC stop using southwest as cover up,na u dey make those nna dude talk wetin dem suppose no talk.

PapaBrowne:

Maybe you think Lagos belongs to you because you are a Yoruba man. Sorry for you. Osun man like you go dey claim Lagos.

Let me tell you this: We own lagos. We non-indigenes. We make Lagos tick. Without us, Lagos would be just like Ibadan or Ife or Ogbomosho or Ijebu Ode.

What makes Lagos tick:
The banks: We own them. Diamond, Stanbic IBTC, Zenith, UBA, you name it.
The Airlines: We own them.- Arik and Aero. Edo & Delta. Ibru and Aruremi.
The TV stations: We own them. Channels, AIT, Silverbird...you name it.
The Newspapers: Guardian, Thisday, Vanguard, and the rest of the best.
The Hotels: We own them. Federal Palace, Sheraton, Four Points, the new Marriot, and a whole lot others.
Or is it the ports? Na we dey import everything that passes through.

As if the infrastructure that makes Lagos tick was built by Awo. Gowon built the infrastructure. Even the money that built the infrastructure came from down south. So what the heck is this talk about go back to your village.

Akwa Ibom is making progress and peoiple celebrate but you here throwing jealous rants. Maybe the reason for your fear is that the owners of everything that makes Lagos tick would start considering moving to Akwa Ibom and Lagos would suddenly look like Abeokuta. Nonsense!!
dunno y I have lots of love and passion 4 south south,I would have blast u back if not so,you may be right tho wit some of ur points ,if e were 2 b a south eastern dude he won't be able to point to one certain too aside bragging, but all the same watch ur mouth papa browne,I love south south

World class road for world class poverty .look at the poverty/misery of the people on thay road in spite of the stupendous monthly allocation .those road /flashy hotels will not be in the same condition in a few years but the poverty will remain constant .
If you want to know about transformational and inter generational development.look no further than aregbesola and what he his doing to transform the future of the kids of osun state.some of those kids will become great someday.
That is how you build a nation .if it is so good as you say, you can move there.i have been to akwa ibom before and even know when the then commissioner for local government affair akpabio was scheming for the governorship.but nowhere in this country is so harder to make money and nowhere is it more difficult to survive without money than uyo.
If you have many ,you will enjoy yourself like no other place even before akpabio.uyo girls are quite generous
The elites are swimming in so much money and their children are arrogant . the everyday people are poor but very nice and friendly .
Personally, I think the poor in that state need a governor who will concentrate on human capital development since the money is available .education ,health ,agriculture &housing . A typical state in the southeast and southwest have the critical mass of educated middleclass professionals at home and abroad.akwa ibom needs a champion to build that for them
abeg joor, wen will u pple stop overhyping dis aregbe of a man, fact akwa ibom get much more than osun but u can't rubbish akpabio works by merely coparing him with aregbe,he may be trying tho but my own prob be say make una no dey shout that short man name like say him don turn osun to dubai, even the so called opon imo can't guaranty the students or make them best perfoming student in nigeria
Una too dey overhyped,haba!

they have come again with their bias and bigotry. Haters of igbos. Instead of making intelligent speculations and guesses, their untamed jealousy for the most entreprenueral, travelled, and technologically intuited region in the country will not allow them think like reasonable homo sapiens.
Ingrates, if not for igbo entreprenuership, lagos would have been like ibadan or ogbomosho. Fashola is sensible, he knows why he chose an igbo man to be his planning and budgeting commisioner. If the igbo populace should leave southwest, banks will close, some will go bankrupt, hospitals and schools will close, commerce and trade will be decimated...(to be continued)
you may be right to some extent, yea some bank branches may close down, but more better and strong establishments will be on ground, yea they will definately cause by then lots of ibos, hausas, fulanis, south southerners might have left, that's decrease in population,we actually need that, though ibo are not the only non indigenes doing business in lagos, stop claiming such false, lots of hausa, south southerners, meanwhile we still gonna have lots of foreigners allover the world residing in lagos,we yorubas will be happy having a more less stressful, clean lagos, with less social crimes, fake products, unnecessary over population, then lagos will be peaceful, meanwhile the mega city will still be the most developed city in africa and one of the world best.

This would rank as one of the biggest deceit in human history if the west indeed have the above yet rely solely on our oil. Sorry to have to spell it out crudely, but without our crude (pun intended) you guys will starve.
@mogidi u no go skul @all,u mean u don't know there is oil in ondo state, fifth largest oil producer in the country, same ondo state have the second largest bitumen in the world after canada, same state with sand use in making glass, same state with limestone for cement, aside agricultural products, google all my facts man,and think beyond, meanwhile lagos also have oil too according to research, other states have their own various resources in abundant too, meanwhile man resources really matter and not natural resouces, with good brains all the resources will be judiciously utilize, meanwhile south west is having a better strong institution not just strong men alone and thats what can really develop any society,"africans don't need a strong man but strong institution"barak obama.
Foreign Affairs / Boy, 10, Finds $10,000 In Kansas City Hotel Room Associated Press - 4 Hrs A by topazjosh(m): 1:17am On May 31, 2013
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A 10-year-old boy who found $10,000 in a drawer at a Kansas City hotel where he was staying with his dad turned the money over to police.

Tyler Schaefer found the neatly stacked bills Saturday in the room where he and his father, Cody Schaefer, were staying at a hotel near the airport, The Kansas City Star reported (http:///16sloUJ). Cody Schaefer, a truck driver and mechanic from Rapid City, S.D., meets his former wife in Kansas City every year to get his three children for summer vacation.

Cody Schaefer said Tyler, a Cub Scout, is always on the lookout for clues and treasure.

"He looks for stuff at random," Schaefer said of his son. "He's very observant."

Schaefer said after they checked into their room Saturday, Tyler began opening all the drawers, and it wasn't too long before Tyler announced: "I found money!"

Schaefer thought maybe his son had found a forgotten $10 bill, but when he looked closer he saw the stack of bills totaling $10,000. He wondered if the bills were fake, but saw they had the appropriate watermarks and seemed legitimate.

"We didn't know what to do at first," Schaefer said.

Schaefer told his son they couldn't keep the cash because they didn't know who it belonged to. They handed the money over to two off-duty police officers working security at the hotel. The officers contacted Sgt. Randy Francis, a property and evidence supervisor, who stored the cash at a police facility.

Police said it's unclear how long the money had been there, and they can't track down every guest who stayed in that room recently. Police spokesman Capt. Tye Grant said Thursday no one had claimed the money yet.

According to a Missouri statute, lost money could revert to a finder after about seven months if no one can prove ownership. But the owner then has another year to prove the money is his or hers and claim it from the finder.

"I didn't come there with $10,000 and I didn't leave with $10,000," Cody Schaefer said. "So it was a wash."

Politics / Re: Who Is The Smartest Governor In Nigeria? by topazjosh(m): 9:11pm On May 30, 2013
Elmos: I don't like his way of administration, I left his party, but as a smartest governor politically, he takes the lead, his name is ABDULRAHAMAN MIMIKO of State of Ondo. When he first presented himself for office back in the days, he was told that they needed a responsible man, that is a married man, and then he was not married, the discussion was on a Monday, and on Wednesday, he was at the meeting again with his wedding certificate, smartness number 1. Segun Adegoke was nominated to be the Governorship candidate of AD in Ondo state in 1999, but being an Ondo Man like Adegoke, he knows once Adegoke becomes a Governor he will never be again, courtesy of Senatorial rotation, he pitched ADEGOKE and Against the party leadership while he was sponsoring ADEFARATI (He sold his father's house in Yaba in Ondo town) became the most powerful cabinet member of ADEFARATI government.Smartness number 2. He was known and Address as Rahman Mimiko, but knows that Ondo will never vote for a Muslim as their Governor he changed faith and remove Rahaman and replaced it with Olusegun. Smartness number 3. He played TINUMBU and OBASANJO, and got the support of both enemies and much more.
you are just too right man,you just spit out what's actually on my mind,is the smartest governor despite bn the only labour party governor, the likes of aregbe, fasola can't do anything without the support of tinubu and other A C N chieftain, meanwhile pdp governors have lots to rely on.
