Are you sure this is for real? Men, guys go fear oh, cos, we are in Africa were we believe parts of the body can be use negatively for spiritual purposes. May be I'm wrong anyway. Bros, I understand ur point @ OP. It's only someone feeling pains that knows how deep it pains. But, my candid advice to you (though, you said, U've made up your mind) is don't live Nigeria, why did I say so?

1. U're first class citizen in Nigeria - an advantage Bill Gate does not have

2. You will be a second class if not 3rd class in any other country - I bet you, many of my friends that have migrated to other countries have higher percentage of bitter experience, you can't run from ur ascent, even if you bleach to look like one of them. Don't forget racism! It's everywhere, we even practice it here in 9ja, how sad with it look like when if a guy of 17 in Canada tells you, that u're smelling dirty (though, U're not) because you an Africa or Nigeria, it all indicate you're a foreigner and not one of them.

3. Have a plan: If your kids are still in Secondary, or Primary, let them finish that stage and you send them abroad for a better future (Ur income still capture Harvard University).

4. Have your own establishment: with 8m annually, open up a business for your family, you can go into oil and gas, have a fueling station like Total, Conoil, Mobil etc, even telecommunication is not doing bad, ask Slot how much he's making that he has gotten almost Lagos covered, what about power generation company, you can name any company you have after one of ur Son or combine their names to form a creative name, I'm sure they will b glad U did.

5. Get a career outside the one you have now, I learned most of things I practice nowadays on youtube. For example, you can open an NGO or Charity organisation, doing this will give you joy of fulfillment in life and you will not be thinking of negative impact nigeria is throwing @ U.

6. Move closer to God. If you're a Muslim, pray 5 times as instructed, pay ur dues, read quaran (sorry, I'm a Christian, so, I might not spell that correctly, I stand to be corrective), and go on tour.

7. If you're a Christian, I bet you, you're not closer to Jesus, if you are, he will give you peace, my brother, there's no peace all over the world, everyone is just taking advantage of another. Make Jesus your personal Savior, read the bible, there's enough trouble out there, but, when you read the word of the creator, He'll show you how to escape those snares. Shalom!

Bottom line, later, you will get to know why they say have bread, is better than none. My submission!

Bros, as much as I do not know much about this people, I will not condemn them yet, they just started out and I think they are still sampling, but, I've worked in Island before, the address of Jumia.com is Address : 15 ,Wole Olateju Street, Lekki Estate, Phase 1, Eti Osa, Lagos. If you don't see it on their site, it may be that U're using the mobile view or they just intended not to display it, but, they are live and available at the said address above. Do call Konga.com and complain or treat to report them to Nigeria Consumer Protection Agency of Nigeria (CPAN), they will turn up quickly.

I haven't use any either, though, I was about to last-week friday, but, I went for dealdey which also gave free N1000 voucher to buy items on their site, if what I wish to buy is more than 1k, then, I can add money into my wallet, but, where I have problem with them (dealdey) is, some of their product is pickup (U shop, they send it to ur nearest location, i.e, am in Ikorodu, they ask me to go collect my order in Oshodi), they don't sometimes do shipment (delivery), but, their product are quality and affordable.

One horrible experience I have with Konga is, I window shop for a good and left it in my cart, only to go back there and found out; it was out of stock, this to me is wrong, any goods you place for sale on, should be available for as many days as ur marketing and publicity is wide, you don't market ur site to 1000 people and you just have 100 goods available, you must even be aspiring to have more than U market, cos, a customer may buy 10 and another 20 and more and more like that, but, this people and base on some comments made above isn't ready for business yet, they are just using us as sampling. Talk amazon, talk ebay, talk other online retailers, they are ready to give you more than the best. I rest my case!

Have you tried putting another network SIM into your phone, and it's d same? I'll suggest you try upto 2 different network SIMs apart from etisalat which you're using now. It happens to me too, I have Etisalat 3G in my room and every other part of my location, but, MTN 3G is not available in my room and even now as am posting, am using the same phone with 2G (Edge) on MTN, if I should remove the sim and insert Etisalat, I'll have 3G. So, try it out, if you don't have another sim, try ask around and borrow.

Nigerians, Nigerians, nna dey here they plan coup abi? If you've being enjoying a particular service before, and you did not complain or give recommendation that time, and now, that service is limited, then, express your displeasure through the appropriate channel, coming on Nairalnad to plan a coup we mean after destroying the sim, they you're in darkness as to know whether the network will reconsider their opinion or will listen to your complain, don't forget that adage that says, cutting off the head is not solution to headache. Everyday, you keep hearing one negative news from one newspaper to another radio stations from internet to Television etc. Virtually you will hear a good news on a daily basis as police is even shooting into the air right now around Lekki Epe Exp. Way, due to some people protesting against an articulated vehicle (trailer) killing two school children going to school. I'll state some of my reason for asking above question below, amidst many other negative news.

1. I was coming from an outing on late hour time on one Monday and while I was buying some food stuff which I'll stuff in my stomach, then, I over-held a man instructing a phone boot guy, saying, if my wife call back, tell her armed robber just collected my (Toyota Camry) vehicle @ Eruwen (that's around Ikorodu axis en route Itamaga). Another guy from distance then intrude and say, have U reported to the police, the victim responded by saying, "which police" showing an attitude that he never trusted in the Nigeria Police. He then said, "what are they going to do afterall"? I was like wao. Like seriously, what a heck is police going to do afterall, I then said to myself, the man may be right oh.

2. I reside in Ikorodu (Lagos) and as a result, I've noticed our men in black/blue uniform as abandoned most of their former behaviour of arresting taxi drivers and have establish a tactics in arresting Commercial Motorcyclist (popularly called Okada). You need to come and see police hiding and parking there vehicle in a hideout in order for prospective buyers to come by case (trouble). This made me interview one of the Okada man while going out one day, asking him how does he manage to escape all of this traps, he said, "me ke, I don dey do Okada for 5 years now 4 dis Ikorodu, dem no fit catch me, I sabi all dia hideout, as I don pay more dan 15 thousand naira for dem for dis year alone, now, I don wise, I go even ask my fellow Okada, shey dem dey dia, if dem say, dem dey dia, I go pass another place".
That's how our suppose to protect life and properties agents became a Terrorist. SMH!

Lastly.
3. I was listening to Radio Lagos this morning and a broadcaster said in Yoruba, which am going to translate here now. The reporter said, a parent went to the police station and complained a missing daughter, instead of police at the canter to file a report, they ask them to go get a recharge card first before anything could be done. They were disappointed in the first place and beg that they do not have money, but, the police insisted, so, out of desperation to re-union with their daughter again, they bought N100 recharge Pin and while they hand it over to the officer. She said; indeed you are looking for your daughter (and that's an informal language in mocking them (here in Nigeria), that is to say, if you are serious in reporting to us to help find your daughter, the N100 recharge you bought doesn't show or give impression that you mean it).
And I was asking myself, what on earth does a recharge card got to do with a missing person?

Those are the points I could draw out amidst all that happening around me on a daily basis. I know my fellow nairalanders have a lot to say. But hey, please, also include if you have a relief or solution to minimize this always happening saga.

Well, I wud have suggested you go into Forex trading but it's profitable for those who are ready to loose. Then, I would have likewise you open a website and target Nigerian youths and education, but, it also require 1 to 2 years before you can start making money from it. Thank you for all your comments, I quite appreciate you all for your candid advice and I think I learn one or two things from all of your contributions, may God help us all. To those of you who do not read the post before commenting, to you I also want to thank, at least for taking your time to punch that keypad or keyboard. To answer most of above questions, I work, but, I owned my business and I only visit my place of work at my will. And I do sleep in the parlour with my friend while his wife take charge of the room. Moreover, the relationship between me and my friend is beyond guessing or projecting, we don't hide things from each other and if you guys read the first or second line of my post you we note I deed mention of trust. So, ladies and gentlemen, thank you once again. Your opinion will really go a long way as I will be debating on most of your post. But, for the fact that am a Yoruba man, there is this culture or tradition that (eni tao ba fe, oun ni ile e n'jina) "it is whom we do not like that we will complain that his house is too far". Me & my friend are too close to say I'll not b visiting and I want to believe my friends wife requested me to help zip her cloth in good faith, I never wants to believe that she has an hidden agenda. If she does, that will b d last thing I will ever do, I only want to know if it is proper as I know her very well, she can make such request in the presence of her husband, and my friend will not see it as a negative thing. But, is it normal or proper, that's all I want to know as I cannot avoid to go to my friends place. Thank you.

I have a close friend whom I trust and in return trust me. Sometimes, I do visit him and he do visit me and in the process, we may pass night in each other place. We became addicted to this method of sleeping in each other's place and as a result; I sometimes prefer to go his place since he has more entertainment gadget more than I do plus he uses room and a parlour, while I use just a room and am not married. As usual, I visited him @ night after work and pass the night in his place. And now he wasn't around as he left home very early the next day, when I woke, his wife told me, he had gone to work, so, I just relax and have another round of sleep. When I woke up, she serve me food to eat after I had prepared myself for the day. I was shocked to receive her invitation to come help her to zip her gown from behind, since she was ready to goto her shop for normal business activity. I firstly pretend as if I did not hear what she said, & she repeated it. Then, I felt is it normal? Then, I took excuse that when I finish eating I'll come help her to zip her cloth. But, before that could happen, a lady (an apprentice) came in & help her out. Now my question is, let assume I wasn't eating or I had finish eating would I have help her out? Meanwhile, she's pregnant and my friend use to make a joke that he his not the father of her unborn baby (a joke I mean and he never mean that statement). Pls, help offer a suggestion or opinion as this scenario may make me to withdraw from going to my friends place as she may request me to help her zip her cloth on another occasion. No abuse pls.
