Kenochi: I am really loving the healthy discussions going in Nigeria, for the first time in our Democracy we are beginning to see our leaders play the role of true opposition Democracy is built on ideas and not just talking about problems without giving constructive solutions, the Government is on their feet and they are responding to the opposition's statements Coming to the issue at hand, the truth is that if you sincerely take your time to look at all the presidential candidates, their manifesto was almost similar, the only difference was perhaps in the pace of implementation
As for me,I will continue to insist that this Government must look at the possibility of devolving more power and more funding to the states and Local Governments The kind of Federalism we practice is very suspect, Asiwaju should go back to the policies he fought for between 1999 to 2007 He took the Federal Government of Obasanjo to court so many times because he wanted more powers to the states, he created more Local Governments because he wanted governance to be more closer to the people He fought the federal government on taxes, state police and even Roads across the state The Reforms that this Government has started will only work if it becomes more comprehensive,it is not about increasing money to the states, it should go the whole hog and start reducing the powers of the Federal Government and allow States and Local Governments become the engine room for the growth of our Economy

It's always 'sensible' supporting such policies when you are in the opposition.
When YOU become the guy in Aso Rock, the last thing you want to see is a weakening of your power and authority.
That's why these guys always talk the talk but don't walk the walk when it comes to devolution of powers.
It won't surprise me if the ancestors are working against us because we abandoned them to embrace the English, from religion to even the naming of our land, when we have so many great kingdoms and empires we can use to name ourselves.
Countries with indigenous names like Kenya, Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania etc all seem more serious and patriotic in the way they do things, with far less corruption and abuse of office.
It is our total political disconnectedness from the past that makes us unpatriotic and corrupt, because we are like a tree without roots.
PortHarcourtcit: seun seun seun mynd44 nlfpmod Fergie001, this post is devilish and with DIVISIVE IDIOLOGIES... Nigeria is fragile now and she doesn't need such division now...
What...?
What is this CLOWN on about?
Wanting an AFRICAN name for an AFRICAN COUNTRY is ''devilish''?
Thanks Britain, for destroying the minds of our people, and replacing their ancient pride and dignity with self hatred and inferiority complex.
Millions of people have had ‘near-death’ experiences whereby they exited their bodies during trauma, coma etc, and they report that physics has a very different set of rules in their out-of-body state.
There is no gravity, so you can fly around as a ball of light or float around on the ground in human or any other form - your choice.
There is no past, present, and future, ie linear time.
There is just “The Eternal Now” as it’s called.
Time is circular, not linear.
It’s like a CD. You can play any part of it you want.
But if YOU are in the CD, YOU will have to ‘wait’ for your song to be played after the previous one.
When you are OUTSIDE the CD, you can simply access any song you want.
We are INSIDE the CD, and that is why we see time in a linear way of past/present/future.
Depriest2020: OP please how do you come across this thing you're talking about? Are you a member of The Grail Message,?
I’m not a member of anything bro. I just research a lot.
In fact the idea that the physical world we are in is a simulation is getting increasing widespread support from scientists, and a lot of research is being done in that area.
DestinedForGrea: I think the question we should be asking here is WHAT IS THE PURPOSE of the role playing in this 'AI simulation' of our true state of existence? What exactly is the use of this dimension to our natural reality?
I see it this way: The Supreme Consciousness or Source allows it. By allowing his Consciousness to split into trillions of ‘separate’ beings, and because in that Consciousness resides the entire spectrum of good and evil, experimental, adventurous, daring, inquisitive, innovative and rebellious, some ‘separated’ elements we call ‘gods’ or ‘Yahweh’, ‘Allah’ etc decided to create this AI Illusion we call ‘the physical world’, perhaps to feed off the negative energies generated from it, which may empower them.
They may have a system of trapping souls into putting on their ‘headset’ to play the game called ‘life on Earth’ to activate negative energies in those souls (such as fear, hatred, suffering, hunger, war, anger etc) which they can feed on for sustenance in their lower dimensional, rebellious states.
It explains why there is always trouble and strife, injustice and conflicts on Earth.
The ancients offered animal and even human sacrifices to appease these entities because the pain and fear of the victims generated during the sacrifice was ENERGY to those ‘gods’.
Even a casual reading of the Bible and Koran should tell you that THAT being they call ‘God’ can never be the actual Ultimate Consciousness or Source.
All differences you see among people are artificial role playing in the simulation.
Igbos, Yorubas, Mexicans, Germans, Zulus etc, are all just roles that mean nothing after you exit the simulation, when you realise that all of us are droplets of ONE large ocean we call ‘God’, and are not ‘separate’ from him or each other unless by some simulated mechanism or ‘game’, such as the life on Earth VR program.
Indeed the simulation CONTINUES after we ‘die’ and return to the Afterlife or ‘spirit world’, where billions of beings reside, because insofar as Consciousness is split into various ‘entities’ or ‘beings’, it is simulation.
Because in Ultimate Reality there is just ONE Consciousness.
What we call Life on Earth is an illusion similar to an AI simulation. Or virtual reality simulation.
The only difference between the ‘life on Earth’ AI simulation and modern AI is that you can end the latter by simply removing the headset and returning to reality.
In the former, you can only exit the simulation when you ‘die’.
Of course there is no such thing as “death”. We are immortal beings - aspects of God - and so cannot ‘die’.
All we do is exit the physical body we need to function in this dimension, and which is the cosmic ‘headset’ we use to experience the AI program called ‘life on Earth’.
The real life is actually what we call ‘death’.
That life is one of great abundance and joy, and ALL of us are headed back there once we remove our ‘headsets’.
Your religion or beliefs are totally irrelevant in this NATURAL process of continuity.
Hello again. I have read with a great deal of amusement what is being described as industrial levels of cheating and fraud among Nigerian nurses in this country.
The matter is essentially very simple. Before nurses from Nigeria can come to Britain and work for the National Health Service, they have to pass a test in numeracy and clinical competence which is known as the NMC Eligibility Assessment before applying to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
This is a computer-based test which they sit in their own country, but in this case, inevitably hundreds of these Nigerian candidates sent somebody else to sit for the test on their behalf in the city of Ibadan. I need hardly tell viewers that Ibadan is a Yoruba city which really tells us all we need to know.
Perhaps we should ask ourselves why it is that when a cheating scandal like this erupts it is seldom in countries like Tanzania, Uganda or Ghana? Always it is Nigeria and always it involves Yorubas rather than say Igbos or Fulani? What is it about the Yorubas?
In the late 1980s I worked for an organization which provided residential care for non-verbal adults with learning disabilities. The one thing which anybody working there soon realized was that the Nigerian staff of whom there were many, were less reliable and trustworthy than other folk.
Some of them supposedly had degrees in things like biochemistry but although their English was fluent you would only need to have a brief conversation to discover that they were lamentably ignorant about both biology and chemistry. It was plain to everyone that they didn't really have degrees in Biochemistry at all.
These people were by the way all Yorubas.
It was also a matter of common observation that they all had at least two other names. You would meet a man called say Adeyemo and then somebody would ring asking for Ezekiel and it would turn out that it was the same man. One name was his tribal name and the other his baptismal name. Then a couple of weeks later you'd find out that some people also knew him as Peter.
I'm guessing that those who have worked with many Nigerians would have encountered this same business of mysteriously changing names.
Sometimes it was clearly for dishonest intent but at other times it just seemed to be part of a lifestyle and you were never entirely clear about who you were actually dealing with.
Qualifications and references were the same with variations of names different names, different spellings, names arranged in different orders. Sometimes a Nigerian would present a certificate with Yetunde Olusanya and at other times the very same certificate would be Olusanya Yetunde. There was always doubt about identity you see.
Then there was what turned into a scandal at a place called Alice Hoffman Homes where I was working, which was that people were turning up for night shifts who were certainly not the people actually employed under that name.
This worked well for a while for them because the managers of the home sometimes weren't there when night workers turned up and the day staff didn't particularly know who was supposed to be working on night shifts.
It was eventually discovered that people were sending their cousins to cover shifts and that these people answered to the name of the genuine night shifts and even signed in with their name.
I have an idea that anybody who has ever had a job which entails coming into contact with a lot of Yorubas will understand just what I'm talking about here. This is exactly what was going on in Ibadan where those taking the nursing test and have been sending along somebody else to sit for the exam who can actually pass the test.
Of course exactly the same scam is worked in this country by Nigerians taking driving tests.
In the description to this video I also give a link to a news item from last year about a woman called Olujumoke Ajadi yet another Yoruba who was making a good living out of sitting for exams for other people in the UK.
This is not at all uncommon by the way. I don't know at all why this should be such a thing with Yorubas.
You don't see it happening with the Ashantis or Twi people from just along the coast in Ghana and nor will you find Ibos up to this kind of game.
It is always Yorubas, which I very strange.
When I worked and lived in a part of London called Hackney I had a lot of dealings with Ibos.
I used to go for Ibo evening classes at one time for reasons which I won't go into now, but I had quite a few connections there which of course is how I met Colonel Ojukwu who used to be the leader of biafra. He lived in Hackney which is where he ended up after the Civil War.
But Ibos are quite a different thing entirely from Yorubas.
OP get rid of your inferiority complex.
There is no reason to post this idiot’s opinion.
His being a so-called white man does not make his opinion more valid than that of an orange seller in Mushin.
ZombiePUNISHER: so you think Nigerians are suffering solely for the subsidy removal?..
if you remove subsidy.. like Tinubu did, where's the money?.. where's the CNG buses purchased to ease transportation fares.. Insecurity is the main reason of hunger in the land, farmers has left the farm.. and the borders are shut All these are down to Tinubu's incompetence..
He removed subsidy to raise monthly allocations to states and federal government, Sharing monies to cronies increases poverty.. Tinubu is a disaster
Thanks for admitting that he increased your state allocation as a result of the removal of subsidies.
WHAT HAVE YOUR IGBO STATE GOVERNORS DONE WITH THE MONEY?
tctrills: It's so clear that you had a very sad childhood. I really feel sorry for you and honestly I don't blame you for the hate speech. The blame is on the people that raised you. I wish you well.
Go and CURE YOUR HEAD and stop feeling inferior to other races.
Hope you don’t transmit your mental disease of racial inferiority complex to your children, as that would be child abuse.
