FoodRe: My Food Does Not Scent.what Could Be The Cause? by Toppie2(f):
[quote author=kekakuz]I have been cooking for as long as I can remember but one thing is constant.my food does not scent.most times when I serve food, people ask me when I cooked the food.this afternoon I was so frustrated that I had to put my nose in the pot to smell something but instead I got my nose burnt.
am I that much of a bad cook?[/quot

I don't think this is a big deal as long as your food tastes good. My food doesn't have aroma all the time and i don't really care coz i know by d tym it's done, it will cme out tasty and super delicious.

CelebritiesRe: "I Am Not Bleaching, I Just Use Cocoa Butter" - Yvonne Nelson Cries Out by Toppie2(f): 9:47am On Jan 10, 2014
anitank: From the comments here, i can tell that cocoa butter has different effects on different skin types. While it makes some darker, it evens out the skin tone of others.

I have been using cocoa butter too (Palmers) and it's really good on my body. I won't say I have bleached, but my skin looks much clearer and fresher than before. I don't intend to stop.

Yvonne here could be saying the truth, but then who knows?
well said! I also use palmer's cocoa butter and my skin just keeps getting better!

onatisi: i like you very much because ur comments have been devoid of insults ,thanks a lot for that , but sir i am not related to shopclue and neither have i met once in my life .pls i always say this read all my post on this issue , why i am angry is that carl allen played to the gallery instead of focusing on getting his son back ,but if my comment makes ppl think i am blindly supporting her then they should read my comments ,i even told that man in find another mean of establishing communication with shopclue in other to resolve this issue , i wont be here on this topic again in a couple of day from now so what is my take ,it is the son that is involved not mine,it is their marriage not mine ,
guy, you're so funny. So the boy is THEIR son and not yours? You're not Wumi, not Carl, not even aigbe; na wa o, i wonder what you are anyway because the passion you've put into this matter is just to the extreme and funny enough your assumptions in this case have always been wrong. O ga gan o!
Nairaland GeneralRe: 10 Myths About Introverts by Toppie2(f): 10:28am On May 21, 2013
I don't know if this is peculiar to all introverts; i am extremely observant. Because while shutting my mouth; my ears, eyes and my heart are widely opened...i know people's deep intentions (those ones at the dark corner of their heart that they are not willing to share) when they speak. I see through people's minds easily without stress and instantly they become so predictable. That's why when people express their disappointment towards someone's deed, i just tell them "well, i didn't expect less"

There can be many intentions behind "awww you look so gorgeous!" some people will tell me that because they need a favour, some just want cheap attention(they want to be noticed by force) some just find it difficult to shut their mouth for a minute, so when there's nothing to say they give fake compliment...and i also give them a fake smile and a dry "you too!" in return. But some people are very sincere with this admiration, when they compliment me, i know and i give this set of people a very wide smile and a "thank you!" that comes straight from my heart.
I don't know if its got anything to do with being an introvert or its just me!
Nairaland GeneralRe: 10 Myths About Introverts by Toppie2(f): 1:12pm On May 18, 2013
Wow...this is just me, i'm a libra and an introvert. I just feel comfortable being alone sometimes, reflecting and thinking deep but some people don't understand and they won't just let me be.....

and i can't just go out and remain in the same spot for an hour all in the name of having fun i'd rather spend half of the time there then go somewhere else for the other half....

You can never catch me talking when i have nothing or i'm not sure of what to say. I talk when there's a topic that interests me...instead of engaging in mono-syllabic conversation, i keep quiet or i just laugh or smile@everything you say!
And yes some people think i'm shy! therefore they think there's a limit to what i can do and the places i can go...these people, i just laugh and shake my head for them in my mind!
Hmmm...you just can't imagine how much i hate noise....i extremely hate it in all its form, it drives me crazy.....God i hate noise with so much passion!

ab1x: I think the best thing one can invest on at the moment is landed property. The last time I bought the then incontinental bank now access bank shares, it was all a flop. Don't think I can ever invest on any shares, bond or treasury bills again. I'll rather buy land or at most build a house and rent it out.

pro01: My dear, I don't make sweeping generalisations, I always leave a 'margin of error', lol. Of course my comments are experiential - first hand, second hand, and all the way to tenth hand experience. We're active participants, observers, and spectators (rolled into one) in this game of life.

It takes a lot for me to reach conclusions (I hardly 'jump' into conclusions at first impulse on any issue), but one has seen a lot in this regard, so that's what it is. The world is a better place when we keep it real. I'd gladly marry a self-confessed (ex)prrrostitute if need be. What makes it all ridiculous (for those of us that can see through it) is unnecessary pretence. That's the real issue. Unnecessary pretence.
And i pray you stop meeting the pretentious ones that have made the rest of us a fair game on nairaland! I was even thinking you're a misogynist, but i know you 'like' us, you just have not had a reason to trust us.
RomanceRe: Are Men Willing To Wait For Sex Till Marriage? by Toppie2(f): 10:16pm On Jan 11, 2013
pro01: 9 out of 10 times, the girl is being bleeped by another man (or men) while her mumu boyfriend/fiance is "waiting" till marriage (a marriage that might never take place sef). She's likely sleeping with some guy that she is gaining something significant from, it could be her lecturer, or her boss, colleague, customer, or just about anyone else. Never ever believe a woman's assurances of fidelity or loyalty. It is absolutely worthless most of the time.

I had a friend way back that suffered the same humiliating fate. His Muslim hijab-wearing, supposedly 'chaste' girlfriend convinced him to wait until marriage, and he did. . .spending his life savings on her and lavishing her with all his affections with the hope that he had found a rare gem. Unfortuntaely, the girl (a law school student) somehow got pregnant for a married man - the man owned the law chambers she was doing her attachment in. You need to see how 'principled', virtuous, sophisticated and strong-willed this girl seemed prior to that time: The sort of girl you would vouch for as the 'exception' when discussing girls' unreliability. When we heard about her strange pregnancy, my friend almost died of shock and defeat, as he felt like the biggest fool ever. He had never seen her bra, let alone panties, yet she got pregnant for a married man - and kept the pregnancy.

Countless other examples of this abound, just that most don't get pregnant while cheating on their 'waiting' mumu fiance. . .so you might never find out.

Waiting for any darn girl is a ridiculous idea for so many reasons.
You know as much as i like you, i mean your comments on many issues here, it saddens my heart when you make sweeping generalizations about women. Are your comments really experiential or imaginary?
@fem30, so you'll marry a virgin abi? are you sure you're not femi joseph? You'd better wake up you've been dreaming!

PoliticsRe: Yoruba Groups Want Okada Banned In South West by Toppie2(f): 6:12pm On Nov 29, 2012
occam: I don't agree with the "wait till we have alternative" approach. Govt may start dragging its feet to implement solutions if there'e no urgency. Also, the next Governor may play the populist card and decide not to ban Okada saying it will cause too much suffering for people. No ban it immediately and start developing a comprehensive transport system. Enough of Okada on our streets. Lagos should aspire to world class statues and not compete with cities in Benin, Togo or Mali.

Lagsoisns deserve better
ok. Thanks for being specific. I don't stay in Lagos and i didn't mention Lagos state in my posts! I believe There are other states in the Sw
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Groups Want Okada Banned In South West by Toppie2(f): 5:14pm On Nov 29, 2012
ilugunboy: What fuccking alternative are you talking about? Is that a subtle blackmail against the govt? let them try armed robbery and dare the consequences then.

Lazy mentality at it's peak!
just calm down, can't you comment without swearing? mental laziness at its peak indeed! As far as i know, this is a public forum and i'm entitled to my own opinion regardless of what anyone thinks.
Read my other posts, i'm not standing in for those motorcyclists whose livelihood "would" be threatened but those of us that would be affected if the government does not provide alternative means of transportation before motorcycle is banned; especially in areas where people solely depend on bikes. Who says motorcycle shouldn't be banned? It's not my headache if you think otherwise!
And until today, i never knew Lagos is now the only state in the SW!
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Groups Want Okada Banned In South West by Toppie2(f): 12:25pm On Nov 29, 2012
Demdem: And do u think that is how ur state will be for the next five years? By the way, whats wrong in making use of ur leg or a bicycle. besides intelligent peeps will see ur needs and start tricycle business etc.
Broaden ur mind miss. The evils of Okada, outweighs the good.
what wouldn't i think? After all we're in Nigeria and more importantly 'The State Of Osun'
i should make use of my leg? If you can't understand the description in my previous post, just close your eyes and imagine. It works! Stop being narrow-minded. After all, No one really finds okada so attractive, so we won't have any problem letting it go. But, we need reliable alternatives.
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Groups Want Okada Banned In South West by Toppie2(f): 11:55am On Nov 29, 2012
Josh090: You realize that there was a time the only type of okada you see is a vesper? And it was a very rare sighting. Maybe you're not old enough to know it but people get around back then as well with no hassle.
A total ban of okada is very possible and I hope they are able to achieve it, some other mode of transportation will come along.
and i'm so sure that at the time versper was in use, my area was a very thick forest. 'some other mode of transportation will come along' very well then!
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Groups Want Okada Banned In South West by Toppie2(f): 11:40am On Nov 29, 2012
Demdem: They advocated for gradual phasing out. Infact they suggested 5Yrs. are u saying or insinuating that none of the listed hasnt started at all in the SW?
i stay in one of the major cities in osun state, and we have three means of transportation.(the commercial buses, taxis, and motorcycle) The commercial buses ply the only main road in the town.
The taxis ply the indigenous areas.
For those of us that don't live anywhere close to the main road and the indigenous areas we have no alternative but to take bike. Now that you know how poor our transportation system is, tell me how sm1 like me would manage if motorcycle is eventually banned.
