I think revolution is brewing gradually cos what the protests all over the country is brewing will be too much for these foolish and uncouth politicians. We are talking of the sustainability of the masses, these people are talking about their pocket. Majority of them have milked the country dry already. Akpabio was a two time governor, a minister, once a senator and still he is talking of salary not enough. If God want to ruin someone, he first made him mad and that's what is happening to this Akpabio. He will surely walk naked very soon.
If the gods…..not God.
You have made some valid points besides.

Nigeria and their archaic laws. In some developed countries, you can take them to court for discrimination.
I’m sure even in Nigeria it is illegal to discriminate based on disease. There is a HIV/AID anti-discrimination act of 2014. Besides such places are not really worth identifying with.

Not even only tech industry. California port is now fully automated that robot do the lifting of container from ships and automated machines moves it around and stack it. Basic tech work will disappear in few months from now.
No be small something. You have a pressing need and call a government helpline only to be answered by a chatbot that has nothing to offer.
You need to go online to research on how to bypass their algorithm to get to an actual human.

You nailed it but you need to include the fifth point. Never, ever leave a decent job in Nigeria and travel abroad. You will end up in group home at least for couple of years when you first get here. All these tech jobs na wash ooo. Maybe when the COVID inspired inflation but now that things had settled, your chances of getting tech job now is close to 1 per cent.
Artificial intelligence is demystifying this tech matter, many jobs in tech are going down

1. Start early
2. Test the waters first before going all the way with entire family.
3. Savings and minimum wage will never be enough to cater for your financial needs as a family.
4. Never ever sell your house in naija. Rent it out.

A colleague of mine called me last week and Said a woman needs a sounds teacher to come and take the child on sounds this summer to enable the child read before school resumes and that she wants someone with British diction.
So, because I'm a diction instructor and have done that kind of job in the past ( like nine years ago) my friend recommended me.

Back then ( 2014) when I was into this home lesson full time, I was charging 25k per child and its three times a week and I pick the places I go to. No long distance thing.
Now with the current situation of the economy and considering my age, I charged this woman 50k three times a week and she said it's too much. Meanwhile, the school the child is attending was where I taught before I left and started doing home lesson and their school fees then ( 2014) was 95k for prep class. By now it should be around 150k. My friend already told me the school the child attends.

She said it's too much that she can only afford 20k. I just ignored them. They will pay 150k for school fees, nothing much to show for it but will want to give you peanut and expect you to perform magic under 1month.

If I handle the child, no doubt, she'll read and her accent will change but definitely not for that amount. I'll now be trekking that long distance cos no bike and somebody is telling me 50k is too much.

Did I do wrong by ignoring them cos they want me to come and start this August but I have zeroed my mind there.

Would you accept such amount for home lesson?
So if a client pays 25k for school fees, how much will you charge them?

As a family-oriented entrepreneur, I was excited about the prospect of starting a business with my relatives. We all shared a passion for the industry and believed that working together would strengthen both our family bonds and our business venture.

In the beginning, everything seemed promising. We communicated well, understood each other's strengths, and divided responsibilities accordingly. It felt like a dream come true, blending our personal and professional lives.

However, as time went on, we encountered unforeseen challenges. Disagreements on business decisions started to spill over into family gatherings, causing tension during what were once joyful moments. Emotions ran high, making it difficult to separate family dynamics from business discussions.

Furthermore, favoritism emerged unintentionally, creating a sense of inequality among non-family employees. This led to resentment and negatively affected the overall team morale.

As the business faced tough decisions, we found it challenging to objectively assess and implement necessary changes. Personal biases and loyalties clouded our judgment, hindering the growth and success of the company.

Through these experiences, we realized that merging family and business requires careful consideration and open communication. It is crucial to establish clear boundaries between personal relationships and professional responsibilities. Regular family meetings and defined roles can help address issues before they escalate.

By acknowledging these challenges and striving to strike a balance between family bonds and business goals, we found ways to navigate the complexities. Open dialogue, empathy, and a shared vision for both the family and the business were key to finding harmony and success.

Share your own stories of running a family business, the challenges you faced, and how you managed to find a harmonious balance between your family life and entrepreneurial pursuits. Let's learn from each other's experiences and build stronger, thriving family businesses together.

Alozie especially should be tried in midfield or as a winger. Plumptree plays centre back normally and that's her major area but because the coach would not want to drop Captain Onome, he's switched her to the wing back role.
Nice one!

Congratulations to the super falcons, 3 points in the bag!
The coaching crew deserve all the accolades here. They read the game very well and their substitutions were all on point.
Technically, the Aussies dominated the game but the team effort from the super falcons contained them.
This was not the best of Kanu's game. Her only contribution was the goal she scored. Never doubted her but it may serve the team better to have her come in as a super sub!
Rasheedat Ajibade is yet to find her rhythm in this tournament, maybe because this was her first match. She gave the team the needed bite upfront and at a point her frustration saw her playing out of position, running after every single ball. Never the smartest strategy in the game of football. It comes with a cost.
Still not impressed with Alozie and Plumtre. Plumtre had a decent first half but was always caught off guard several time. Luckily, the Aussie team did not maximize this to their advantage.
Ohale you are a darling. Reminds me of Christain Chukwu and Taribo, strictly business no fancy play, a major issue with Alozie. Keep doing your thing.
Overall, I see great potential in this team. If they can fix these little rough edges here and there, they can go all the way.
For some reason, I think both Alozie and Plumtree should be tried in any midfield position (not in this tournament though).
I will like to see Desire Oparanozie, Asisat and Rasheedat play together.
Till then...it's a wrap!
