mr man we are saying the same thing. Dat girl ddnt just learn programming out of the blues. She was taught ok. She needs dat job so she could use the money to enrol for IT trainings like ccna, programming sql, Web design, mcse, java. Etc. All these things cost money to learn.. I stepped into an IT training facility and the prices they were calling for me was suprising.. so pls dnt say she has no vision... most people who are even criticizing her sef are even jobless and don't even hav the balls to do what she just did. Look, the country is hard.. to get smth doing is not a snap a finger thing and it happens. All u gota do is wish her well mehn.. not speak lowly of her... please.
Bros ye we hear you but most of the stuff you learn I programming you learn yourself there are numerous books online you could pick all you need is a system and data to setup may be an IDE or install a program. That's where I think may be she will need help i.e. getting a system and data or than that if she really wants to learn and he has the desire then.....she doesn't need to pay the exorbitant prices for training it's about passion

It's not about their rigs... It's about your own contentment... At every level there are more than enough very good games available for you to play... Think about it... That is why every game has Ultra, high, medium, low and very low... Even the game industries are aware that not every one can afford high end pc's that can handle games at high settings and still maintain >60fps... At every level through my pc owning evolution I've had good games that I play and I am happy with them, whenever I get a game my pc can't play... I keep it in hope of getting a better one... And its been working for me...
Just be happy with whatever you have and play the games available for your level of pc... After all... It's not all about graphics... Black ops has one of the best story among the cod franchise and I played it on my hp dv6, 312mb vram, 4 gigram...
There are hundreds of thousands of games you could play... Just look for 'em
Bruv I already do...I mean I got PES 2016 black ops 1 & 2 NFS the run castlevania Skyrim and others so I'm good. But I wouldn't mind having something better is all I'm saying

SportsRe: Giwa FC Has Been Expelled From The NPFL by Toroze(m):
To all those saying ish please abeg now get your facts right before you come here and spew rubbish this same Nigerian league that you all are attacking is actually doing quite well people are actually going to see the matches the Enyimba that someone said something about the LMC making it easy for them to win have been so inconsistent this season due to their accumulation of games. The stadiums are getting better even with the problems in the North I think they played the first match in Maiduguri since the problem of Boko Haram started this season. The first night match in a long while and for the first time in Enugu was played this season. This same season we've seen upset from clubs we didn't expect "MFM" beating peeps left right and center. I'm not gonna lie and say it been all roses but give credit where credit is due the league is better. Rangers my home town favourites played Heartland yesterday I watched that match a bit yesterday, why did I feel the need to talk about it now. The match was a night match Nigerians like you and me came out of their homes in thousand to watch the match, the pitch was just too good, and the football was pleasing to the eye to watch I mean good football. So please before you bash them spend some time watch the league understand what's going on. On the matter of Giwa FC them being expelled has nothing to do with what their owner is going through at the glass house. Anyone who follows the league knows this they been warned if I'm not mistaken on three seperate occasions on different issues which broke the LMC. I remember watching sports tonite on channels and one of the analyst said it's a wonder why they haven't been expelled before now and his counterpart replied and said the LMC is probably givimg them grace so that when the hammer falls no one will say they were not warned and now it has fallen. So please lets be sincere they do deserve their expulsion.

GamingRe: 7 Solid Reasons Pc Gaming Beats Console by Toroze(m): 9:39pm On May 20, 2016
I love PC games that being said I just thought I'd drop my own opinions on the matter

First of all I hate it when peeps be like you can play the ps3 version or the ps2 version of the game on emulator for the respective console that's complete and utter trash, now don't get me wrong they do have some emulators for the said consoles but why stress your self when developers build the same game for the PC from ground up just for PC Albeit some things might be missing from the PC version thats present on the Console version but if you wanted the full package and the console package had the full package why didn't you just get the console and buy the damn game and enjoy the full package

Now whoever came up with the idea that PC rigs where cheap whether they are desktop or laptops the best budget PC rigs for gaming will set you back $700 that's depending what you want it can actually be as low as $500. I'm not gonna say I'm a saint and I don't download games but I do have a steam account trust me PC games are almost every bit as expensive although not quite as expensive as their console counterparts

I don't usually support this whole argument of which is better my take get the one that works for you. If you have the resources to build a gaming rig where you can easily change parts such as the processor or the VGA cards in order to play future games then that's fine if you'd rather wait for the console and the games then good and fine....by all means but as to which is better I dunno that argument is for the peeps who make the Co soles and the peeps who make the gaming rigs components I guess.

I do prefer PC rigs tho but Nigeria economy does not support one setting up a gaming ring with full functionality either console or PC is quite expensive IMHO but hey that's where Intel powered processor with AMD or nvidia graphics card laptop that can be gotten for budget price come in. Please lets not get started on online connectivity or the amount you'd need to get a decent Internet services that will handle online gaming with out a glitch. That's a whole other matter.

My 2cowries tho

It's only in Nigeria that people attach sentiment to their jobs. That's why a Keke driver will queue up when unemployed people are called. We are unemployed because we lack dignity and love for what we do.
And why shouldn't they attach sentiment to it although a keke driver shouldn't say he's unemployed but if he dosent find dignity or love what he does can you blame the man for aspiring to be better especially if he does deserve better that being said I do get where you're coming from loving your job makes it better I do get that.
LiteratureRe: 10 Greatest Literary Writers In Nigeria History by Toroze(m): 8:57am On May 19, 2016
After all is said and done its someone own opinion of His or her top ten writers in Nigeria that being said I think JP Clark and Chukwuemeka Ike ought to be on that list but that's doesn't mean Chimamanda should be removed from the list as well. On the matter or Soyinka and Chinua both were literary greats. Yes Soyinka may have won the Nobel prize doesn't stop Chinua from being a good writer, The fact that they wanted to honour him with Commander of the Federal Republic twice and he refused says a lot about him I don't think there's a need to compare them this is an excerpt from his Wikipedia page Despite his scholarly achievements and the global importance of his work, Achebe never received a Nobel Prize, which some observers viewed as unjust.[209][210] When Wole Soyinka was awarded the 1986 Nobel Prize in Literature, Achebe joined the rest of Nigeria in celebrating the first African ever to win the prize. He lauded Soyinka's "stupendous display of energy and vitality", and said he was "most eminently deserving of any prize".[211] In 1988 Achebe was asked by a reporter for Quality Weekly how he felt about never winning a Nobel Prize; he replied: "My position is that the Nobel Prize is important. But it is a European prize. It's not an African prize ... Literature is not a heavyweight championship. Nigerians may think, you know, this man has been knocked out. It's nothing to do with that."

I don't really want to get into this cos folks will most likely turn to a tribal dyck waving contest. And I'm not really familiar with Nigerian literature - apart from the popular ones. However, I'd say Ben Okri's "Famished Road" is one of the greatest books written by an African writer in terms of literary skills, idioms, story telling, and soul that come with African literature. He won the Man Booker Prize years ago - an award Chimanmanda is yet to get close to.

Also, in terms of literary gift...Helen Oyeyemi is much more gifted than Chimanmanda. I believe Chimanmanda just got a huge break with the help of Achebe and cos "half of a yellow sun" was based on a bloody civil war. And the world generally gravitate towards things like that. That's also the only decent book she has written thus far - the rest are trash and they lack soul. She's also more into commercialised crap than the art.

My opinion, people can twist it how they want but Nigeria definitely has a huge prospect to take on the literary world in Helen Oyeyemi. She's the most promising/gifted young African writer out there.
Loved the first part of your comment I don't want a tribalistic war on this thread either that being said I agreed with you about Ben Okri the guys is somewhat underated and if you noticed I said as much albeit not in as many words. Him over Chimamanda is understandable. Now unto the matter of Helen vs Chimamanda you're right her first novel was about a civil war and the world generally "gravitates" to such things, She, Helen is truly gifted writer. That being said Chimamanda is also gifted this is an excerpt from her Wikipedia page Adichie has been called "the most prominent" of a "procession of critically acclaimed young anglophone authors [that] is succeeding in attracting a new generation of readers to African literature" and her third book " Americanah" which I love so much was put among the top ten books of 2013 by the New York times so I think that settles the fact that she is just as gifted as Helen or better, she has achieved all this with just three books by the way compared to Helens five or six dunno now. There is something that I also want to talk about tho just my opinion but I would love to hear yours on it also. As an African writer breaking into the literary world and doing so with books whose plots are centered around an The African world is no mean feat it's one of the reason Chinua Achebe is held in high regard, that people all over read a book that predominantly talks about the Igbo culture or has its plot centered around it, which is something they don't understand but can now relate to because of the literary prowess of the individual who wrote the book, the ability for him to do that i.e. make that world so real to them is pure genius. The few who have been able to do this have become some of Africa's great I'm talking of the like of Chinua, Camara Laye and Wole Shoyinka. This I believe is one of the reasons that makes Chimamanda outstanding she mixes that blend of Nigeria and the World in such a very unique way, with such ease and is able to sell it to not just Nigerians but the whole world.

Lol I don't think he is and you're right I think its because she's British before being Nigerian besides you need to read at least one of her works might I suggest Icarus House or Boy Snow Bird she's good but not Chimanmanda good at least to me.

Strange, this is even my first time of hearing about that your Helen Oyeyemi ooor whatever.

John Pepper Clark, pseudonym J.P. Clark-Bekederemo (born April 6, 1935, Kiagbodo, Nigeria) the most lyrical of the Nigerian poets, whose poetry celebrates the physical landscape of Africa. He was also a journalist, playwright, and scholar-critic who conducted research into traditional Ijo myths and legends and wrote essays on African poetry.

Her wining the Booker prize means she's good but I dunno bruv when it comes down to their works I was restless with Boy Snow Bird but with Americanah till I read the last full stop didn't drop it that being said as an author one of the crowning moments of your work is when a movie adaptation has been done on your work and if I'm right work has begun on the movie adaptation of Americanah and there's half of a yellow sun so..I dunno tho sha just my 2cowries

Funny list...though I have never heard about most of the people on that list.

However, I do know that Ben Okri is light years ahead of Chimanmanda in terms of literary skills. Heck, Helen Oyeyemi writes far better than she does.

As for the King of them all - Wole Soyinka is on the throne by himself.
You people haf come again please leave Chimanmanda for me biko, If you had said Ben Okri I agree with you but Helen Oyeyemi come on bruv and as to Wole being the King of them all you seem to forget a Chinua Achebe is also on that list...
