Goodmorning to u all this good trend,plx I need an help that I think is given me little stress,my husband try to make our 165$ online payment before we left nigeria but he can't where to make the payment wen he created the account till we take our liv to state and the reason why we live earlier is that we have some chanllanges with the airline we booked that I wouldn't behable to fly until I put to bed and before my hubby booked the ticket he spoke with one the agent and tell her my condition that can I fly,she respond that I can but I have to go with medical report frm our doctor tham healthy,so we done that but ungeting to airport the refuse saying that I av to follow there medical process wish we last for 3days before they can giv a respond and this make us to mis our flight and bill us to rebook mean that we to had some amount the the one we've payed before and was@hi rate I paid 1200$additonal payment I did this because it hard for urs to move back to where we are coming frm so we lodge in hotel for good 3days before there medical report come from there headquater so we received a call that we can fly now and we most fly within 4days of there respond and this make my hubby spend a lot and our host also given a condition that his using asingle room apartment that it can't contain us that we perpared like 600$ and all the money that my hubby plan for our well being there he booked 3k with him because his the only person doing it all I can't lie for that is a dearing strong man so the problem now is that the money we want to use for the 165 for the 3 of has been spend for so medical on our daughter sa am writen to u my hubby is in hospital looking after our daughter really is a father also a good husband I knw is not happy with all is happen but he dnt want anytin to affect me so he force himself to make me and my daughter happy,so thsi is my Q we are just having just a token his account now that can pay for just a person can he pay for his own alone pending the time he ll start working and how can he go with it because we can't find any place to make payment on that site.........plx ur attention is needed mr temmy mr remi also everyone that has ideal how we can make the payment thanks and god bless

plz the good people of this forum......I and my hubby we had our interview on friday and it was successful as the CO said,this is what really happen we went to embassy with naira cash haven in mind to pay for me and my hubby wen we gt there we found that the change rate @embassy is diff so this affect our payment so we decide to pay for 2 people instead of 3 but we procceed for our interview so after the interviewd me and my hubby the CO said is done that our visa we be printed in our passport but he said he observ that we make a payment for 2 people instaed of 3 and my hubby respond that with what I said earlier with exchange rate,and he ask my hubby wen can make the payment for the 3rd person and my hubby resspond that on monday and he said ok that our visa we be printed on our passport but he we return it back to us till wen we make the 3rd payment.wen we are going my hubby just askd CO whether they can alow him in whennext and and the CO said good for him to say that and he draft latter immidiatly that we should return on to embassy with the money.........wen my hubby gt there today or do he went there latly and he said all the security said they can't alow him in that he should come back tomorow,so this is my question can CO use to play that our visa we be printed on our passport or do we had a smoothly interview very smoothly.......plz ur contribution is hilly welcome

@adesojiaderemi: That is not a problem, go with those pictures you have with you, your marriage certificate and the good explanation you just made now.

@tosdem When you went to the registry what type of marriage form did you fill? because we have new marriage forms and same wife same husband form, in same wife/husband form you would have indicated when you actually got married to your wife/husband if you didn’t then there may be little problem. For example I got married 1995 Muslim marriage and did my court marriage December 2012 after the result was released but in the marriage certificate there was a paper signed and attached to it which indicates my wife’s age and address as at when we got married, that covers my son’s age who is now 16years. Check your marriage certificate if it is same wife same husband then let me now, was your marriage recorded in the global marriage website if not let me know I will direct you on what to do. I give all glory and thanks to God for HIS favour over us . I did my interview with my family and it was successful.
I did on same date with brigthmon at the same time but different window. I guess it’s d only 2 of us they interviewed for dv within the 1 hour spent there. We were calm and tried to listen to questions being asked other people that were interviewed.

*Security Check Points
*Made DV Payments
*A guy called to submit the Originals and Photocopy of all our credentials

Then after waiting a while,CO Called my wife’s number to d window

This is how the questions goes: just about 6 questions in all (me & wife):

Co: Good Morning
we: Good Morning

Co: where is ur payment slip
we: gave to him

Co: Right Hand up and Promise you will tell me nothing but the truth
we: we Promise

Co: Take your finger print
we: we did

Co: asked me to go and sit down for a while
Co: why have you not been working?
My wife: answered him---applied for some but yet to get one.

Co: asked again : why have you not been working?
My wife: answered him---applied for some but yet to get one and because of my present pregnancy, my husband told me to hold on for a while.

Co: what are the Subjects you did in your WAEC? Note: my wife used NECO(6 credits) but we also filled WAEC(only 2 passes) in our form ds 230.though we did not attach the WAEC result but they asked for it---just to be sure we have d 12 year elementary schooling.
My wife: answered him

Co: how did you study for the exams?
My wife: Told him--- reading at home, in d library and group discussion with course mates

Co: asked my wife to call me
Co: how did you meet your wife?
Me: I told him------ through her sister who was my classmate

Co: when did you got married
Me: I told him

Co: do you have any picture you took together?
we: we brought out 2 albums (wedding) and opened one for him page by page . We opened about 4 pages and stopped. He said we should open more pages and we did.

Co: he waved to our son and asked : is he your only son and we said yes?
Co: congratulation. Your Visa has been approved. You are welcome to America
Co: he circled one of the 2 addresses on a white paper, gave it to us and asked us to go picked our visas on the address

Please, go with all your certificates but make sure you put the required ones in one envelop and others in another envelop. I wonder what would have happened if we don’t have my wife’s WAEC result with only 2 passes that was demanded.

ALSO, PLEASE BE HONEST EVEN IF YOU HAVE ISSUES. THEY ARE ALSO HUMAN BEING.

I really thank God for this and everyone in this forum that have been contributing in one way or the other. We were over prepared using all the information we gathered from this great forum people. You are good to go my sister...i have a case of a couple who have been married traditionally for than 20 yrs with children,they only went to the registry after they won the lottery...they filled the date of marriage as 20 yrs ago and the registry certificate reflect 2012....It was accepted at the embassy no wahalaa..Alll the best

helo house,i read through what foworola wrote here some hours ago and temmy respond that it cant work here in lagos,cos i av similar isue,i won as pricipal applicant,when we register for the dv in 2011 we register as married cos we gt married 4 years ago but not legaly done,my hubby just paid my bride price to my parent,but we plan it in a biger form but my dad loose his junior bro,so my dad decide that we should make it a parlour stuff so my hubby came with his parent and make the bride price done,because tht was the most important thing in our own town,so immediatly i got to his house i went to high court justice for changing of name affidavit to my hubby name,ever since av been using his name in all my document and we also have a 3years old child,so when the result came out we make legal,hope we are good to go?

I dont think there is any problem since you have your kid and pictures to prove,with other supporting documents like affidavit.

Did you apply as single or married? Did you include your husband and kid as derivatives? Do you have documentary evidence to show that a 'Parlour' wedding took place? Do people, including neighbors and friends know you're married? Do you have the birth and hospital records of your child? Answers to these questions will help us advice you better.

I apply as married also include my husband and my daughter,we don't have anything to prove the parlour party my parent just received what they requested for no pic nothing,but we have our courtship pictures and hospital record and the picture off my babe when she was six month with my husband and me and also all her birthday pictures from first year till 3rd year and pictures on every valentine show that my husband took me and baby too since she was born hope all this help?thanks and thanks for ur good help.

@gentiger and jidedon and every one that respond to my isue,we av been married 4years ago years ago in traditional way and they make the it a way my parent want it (parlour party)but there is nothing to back it up like picture or any certificate,but I just make it to court to make a changes off name and legally married now with certificate and enough piz and when am applying then I have a two year old baby then so I can't fill as single in other to add my husband and daughter at the first place,I was advice by my husband friend that his now with his family in state,that if we apply as single and we have a grown baby and wouldn't be able to add my husband then and we ll face a challenge during the interview that is good to make it as married,and we have so may pix to back it up for long.thanks once again for ur great responce and am still looking forward to hear more off u people.

1.i was selected on DV 2013 for further process,is my CN2013000141** when is like for we to have our interview,i apply this with my family(my husband and my daughter)but we have not legaly marry when I apply but when I deliver my baby in 2009 I went to high court off justice to change my name to my husband name and since then have been using his name and we gt married in legal way this year june 3rd 2013.
2nd.id have 5 credit on level result as requested on the site but I have E7 in my maths and english I also had N.C.E as my highest qualification with good grade,and have been into teaching five years ago,hope we are good to go?
3rd.on the petitioner isue I wrote each off our name as petitioner cos I see the petitioner as person the that presented the form not only the principal applicant...hope to hear from u soon thanks
