I didnt insist it should be answered, I only think it is the norm that when you dont have anything to write about a post, just skip it, it is not a rule that you must post on every thread.

Has everyone noticed thta Ghananians are returning home to build their country? check http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8052518.stm What about Nigerians? Why will a foreign leader be more excited at visiting a countr where her own citizens are running away from?
Let them run away, they will soon run back.

ARCHEMEDES

You cant be any more correct, I thank you for you said it as it is, they prefer to shout on threads that spell loudly the problems of Nigeria, but when it comes with threads that try to speak differently, they say it is senseless. I honestly agree with you 100%.

Good job Obama.

Obama made shots during his inauguration regarding leaders who cling on to power using unorthodox means (i.e Nigeria).

If this wake up alarm is ignored by Nigerians as in previous times, then who is to blame?
What is the meaning of what you have just said?

To your question, i am somebody, full of myself, not afraid of anyone, brashy, nasty and arrogant!
If you didnt get it lastnight, no need to take it out on me or come onto NL and start making senseless topics!
You are reputed for it but seriously you need to grow up!
I can see, I have no more word for you, you have defined yourself perfectly well.

Who made you the wise man to determine which topic is senseless or sensible?

I dont talk to brashy, nasty and arrogant folks, they deserve to be binned and forgotten.
PoliticsRe: Why Is Obama Visiting Ghana Before Nigeria? by toshacer: 2:16pm On May 17, 2009
Majority of Nigerians are just illetrate fools - so, because Obama has chosen to go to Ghana before Nigeria, it means Ghana is already a better place than Nigeria?

What a people.
PoliticsRe: Words That Can Help Nigeria by toshacer: 2:13pm On May 17, 2009
and thats why people dont go far in life, seeing things right in their own eyes alone.

It is not my proposal, so I dont have to worry about your statement- You ask someone a question, and instead of coming up with an answer, he corrects you by telling you that is not the best way to ask the question, and he analyses your question and at the end fails the exam- what fools.

MrCrackles

Let me ask you a question, who do you honestly realy think you are? the big boss of NairaLand or President Obama? Tell us, who and what you think of yourself. If you must know, it is not a rule that you must post on every thread, if you put that in your mind, kindly put a meaning to the very first contribution you made to this thread. If you agree to the fact that it is meaningless, then, kindly try to be more meaningful next time, look at your contributions in all the threads on NairaLand, which one of yours makes any meaning? People who make meaningless contributions to a topic are called dumb, so pls, be more civil next time.

Meaning, I am so dumb I have no clue to what the question is!
PoliticsRe: Words That Can Help Nigeria by toshacer: 1:49pm On May 17, 2009
Another obvious reason why Nigeria will never progress, if you dont have a word that can help Nigeria, simply skip the thread, noone is asking you to analyse the question, I wonder how some people do pass exams or even made it to where they are with these kind of attitudes. Arm chair critics all over the place.
PoliticsThe Nigerian Problem Has Been Blamed On Government, But "who" Is The Government? by toshacer(op): 1:39pm On May 17, 2009
The Nigerian problem has been blamed variously on the government, however, the government is not a person, the government is still made up of Nigerians, how then can anyone in his or her correct senses always blame a non existing personality for the woes of a nation? It beats me, can anyone then define to me who the "government" is?

Ibo folks are not happy that most successful discussion forum about Nigeria are predominantly owned by Yoruba peeps. There is information they are planning a blanket ban by government on these blogs/forum. They need to be checkmated.

All the banks have done is to advertise on DSTV or what have you. Cable/satellite operators sell "ad/commercial" space.
Their audience is africa. What better way than to advertise on DSTV. If they show the commercials in America, then only can you make so much noise about this.
Looks like you dont know what Nigerians are?

@topic

I'm sorry to say this is the most stupid thing I've read this week. I'm starting to see now that this Yar Adua is more than a slowpoke. "Vision 20-20 this, ," "Vision 20-20 that." He may be Insane o. $1.7bn to build more roads in Abuja.

Abuja is the poster child for Nigeria's hypocrisy. The city is in place to show the world and world leaders who come to town what Nigeria looks like.
Case in point. The road is full of street lights as soon as you do the T-junction from the Airport unto that road; meanwhile, if you turn left towards Guru Junction, you'll see that barely 20 meters (just beyond the sight of say,  a world leader,  going to town) the street lights no longer exist.

I like Abuja though.

Where are the priorities? What is wrong with the old road? Yeah, ok. It is not great. True. It could be better. True. But is this what Nigeria needs now? How about spending that money on other things. Like roads in other places. How about Lagos to Onitsha or something like that. Whatever happened to novel Ideas. How about spending this $1.7bn in generating 1,000MW of Wind Power that can begin generating electricity immediately the project is completed since it won't need them to start begging for gas deliveries.

I don't think the best way to spend $1.7bn is to use it on Abuja Airport road o. This is fraud. Why so much anyway? There's already several lanes there already. It can never cost so much to add extra if Lagos to Kano would cost $7bn or so.

Chai!!  shocked shocked shocked shocked I don die!!!
What a way to think?

PoliticsRe: Nigeian Banks Advertising On Cnn Everywhere And Everyday by toshacer: 4:16pm On May 16, 2009
With these kind of people representing the way an average Nigeria thinks, I dont see a future for Nigeria, bleak and sad, that is what i see here. Othe countries advertise on CNN, SKy etc, Malaysia is always on SKY, Qatar is always on SKY, but when anything Nigeria comes internationally, the same people who says nothing works in Nigeria stand up to nail it down as meaningless, what kind of people are these?
PoliticsRe: Nigeian Banks Advertising On Cnn Everywhere And Everyday by toshacer: 4:07pm On May 16, 2009
Sam Milla:
I believe that discussing it here is a nice start. We must not expect to make things right instantly especially since they have been doing this for long.
You mus think about postings here too seriously. So you think a bank will stop what they do because of what is discussed merely on a forum? How do you think?
PoliticsRe: Nigeian Banks Advertising On Cnn Everywhere And Everyday by toshacer: 4:04pm On May 16, 2009
the same stupid, unreasonable and meaningless people contributing on a very un necessary and uncalled for posting, what on earth is your own about where they chose to advertise. This is the problem of the black man, preferring to bury his head to the tiny corner of the world where he belongs and when things passes him globally, he starts complaining it is because of his colour.

How many of you have sought loans from these banks and have been denied? What is your problem with the way they spend their money? Nigerians dont cease to amaze me.

Nigerians in the diaspora, so antagonistic, so dull in thinking.

What dimension are you cutting into? Who cares where the man is from? China of all places? Even if he is in the white house, that has nothing to do with it, people have been to and lived better places than China, so, it has nothing to do with if he is in Nigeria or not.
