What will post like this achieve? How come those better than him haven't done much in the past 40years plus of independence? Why do people genuinely feel hopeless? Please explain these things to me. smiley

PS
Funny how your post seem to come in the same time Akpangbon and Tombola logged right out. Nice.
Exactly, why do people like the poster feel genuinely hopeless? Please help us ask him.
PoliticsRe: I May Give Up On Nigeria Soon by toshacer: 2:22pm On May 11, 2009
I am convinced that Nigeria does not need the opinion of anyone on this forum before moving forward, noone at all. The fool sayeth in his heart there is no hope for Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Is A Failing State:british All Party Parliamentary Group Report by toshacer: 4:56pm On Apr 24, 2009
@Kobo

I have read almost all our post this month, but sorry to say, there is nothing meaningful in it apart of wiping up sentiments and negative back lashes and so are many more. And like someone says, what is constructive criticism if all is said is to lay blame and say what is obvious? All what you point out as points are obvious to even a primary school kid, but, we are tired of hearing that, what is your solution , this is what is constructive.

The fate of 5 million people does not obviously lie in rantings on NairaLand.

The last place anyone will dream of coming to seek solution to Nigeria's problem will be NairaLand, but the first place to learn about the problems and issues about Nigeria is obviously NairaLand, so many arm chair critics who have even found it vry hard to govern their own household, but for cyberspace, they have become the harbingers of the solution to the problems facing Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Is A Failing State:british All Party Parliamentary Group Report by toshacer: 4:34pm On Apr 24, 2009
where are you coming from? You suddenly travelled and became the voice of the masses or what? many have gone, been there, and came back to assist the country, not stay put and become empty barrel critics.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Is A Failing State:british All Party Parliamentary Group Report by toshacer: 3:26pm On Apr 24, 2009
Restating the obvios and tainting it with lies to make it look like criticism is nothing but making fool of the heart of the writer - ok, the Group Report came out, what is debatable about it? what is new about what has ben said in their, what is the point re stating the obvious over and over and over again? it beats me hollow!

Many people who live in Nigeria have travelled far wider and to more sophisticated places on this earth and yet they take it easy in criticising - what is contructive in all the topics and write ups i have read and i am reading on Nairaand, especially this one?
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Is A Failing State:british All Party Parliamentary Group Report by toshacer: 3:14pm On Apr 24, 2009
Dont mind them @Tombola

A bunch of nin compoops write jargons on the internet and some non entity people come here to discuss it as if it is worth the time and trouble.
Foreign AffairsRe: Nigerian Girl Faces Racist Threat For Winning Uk Beauty Contest. by toshacer: 11:42am On Apr 24, 2009
@Poster

You must have your head examined for porous matter diseminating itself via medulated frequencies to attempt to twist your thinking oblongata medulaly. This is a case of one single nutter calling to make a racist statement and you present the whole thing as if the whole country is against the lady - do you know where York is, do you know how small the city is? York is an extremely whte dominated little cottage lifestyle city in the UK, so, for them to think black arse dudes are problem to them is understandable.

So, poster, I reccomend you need to attend the medical school where she attends so that the particles of igrantiated reposition trying to halucnate itself into your medula oblongata be eroded so that you head can with no perenial obstruction, be able to juxtaose the mediocrity of reporting articles that are self paraded as frigid and manipulated mistotle.
PoliticsRe: Do These Diasporic Nigerians Love D Country More Or Just Out To Rubbish It More? by toshacer: 9:29am On Apr 23, 2009
It is Nigerians who have been away from Nigeria for too long that still wake up and write bull fart against the country Nigeria - to get a first hand and true experience of Nigeria, book a holiday there for just two weeks and come back here to write, of course if you rely on reports in sahara reports and elendu whatever it is, or spend half your day on NairaLand reading from the lies of Crackles, Kobojunkie, tbo and many others who havent been in Nigeria for ages, you will definitely want to beleive them and join them in their massive crusade to run down a country they have left for ages.

First hand experience is ok - this is what the poster is talking about, he isint saying dont criticise the country, he is simply saying, why is it that those who are outside shout the worst when it comes to Nigeria, they seem to be the only ones who knows when or what should be done or not and they seem to be the only ones who sees the poverty and sufferness in a country the dont live in.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s N1.2 Trillion Rail Project In Limbo by toshacer: 8:21pm On Apr 19, 2009
@Kobo

You will be surprised that the cot of their project is much more than the one we are actually talking about.

It is wrong to blankently compare costs without taking so many other things into consideration - topography is an example.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s N1.2 Trillion Rail Project In Limbo by toshacer: 8:12pm On Apr 19, 2009
Badriyyah:
Rail Project in Nigeria? Shouldn't they be focusing on other important things like Health care, employment, security, water, electricity. Heck since we're discussing transport. Public transport in the states. Gosh, these ppl don't know what they are doing.
Another childish contribution. So, government should neglect transportation or what are you talking about??
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s N1.2 Trillion Rail Project In Limbo by toshacer: 4:26pm On Apr 19, 2009
IFELEKE:
Brother, Tell me what is not overpriced in this country.
As Far as this government is concerned, what we should be bothered about is full completion and adequate implementation of initiated projects(over bloated or not) afterall,Overbloating project fees and fully implementing them is better than embezzling without doing anything at all. . .So To Speak.

But you ve said it allThe Abuja National Stadium is a classic example of your quote above,The Project was overbloated but completed.
I went there in 2003 and was Proud that such a masterpiece was in my country but now,the stadium is a shadow of it's former self no thanks to lack of proper maintenance and management.
The contract was signed by people whose paramount interest was lining their pockets with some goodies notwithstanding the lapses in it.
We all know the benefits of  Rail Transportation and what it will do to our economy but my fear  is your modification option.
Modification(to our present government)might mean outright cancellation of the contract(thereby forgoing the initial down payment) and awarding a fresh overbloated contract which won't be completed again.
So, what do you think?
Lopsided thinking. Always criticising without putting forward any alternative approach.

You are missing the point here, you ninny!

Stop being an idiot with bar none thinking faculties!
I wont get into anymore war of words with you because idiots like you flip other people's opinions and make a meal of it!

That is why we have constant bickering and fighting on this forum!

If you are not happy with my comments, simply pass and make yours without moaning and groaning over your misfortunes!

Why do you run from facts when it is not Nigeria? Even the public officer concerned offered apology for wrong doing. Youasked what the corellation is? then kindly read the last part of the quoted contribution from blacksta.

I_LAUGH

why you dey talk this?.  In your deepest of  your heart do you think it o.k for so called leader to use state money to purchase such vehicles when the average man leaves below a $1  day.  Forget comparing America to Nigeria. two competely different scenarios.  If a man is duly elected by the people why does he need 4 bullet proof vehicles.  A typical politcanl in England uses public transport without unecessary wastage of tax payers money
Na true - yet in the same England, public officers husband uses tax payers money to pay for porn movies watched by the husband while she is away at work - no be the same england?

Someone says he loves his country, runs out of it, and then stays outside the country to write about things he hasnt witnessed or havent been there on his own to verify the story he writes about, and all he gets are accolades and things like that. Even in America where he lives, all so called activities live within their country, I am so appaled at the way activism in Nigeria is practiced, it all seems for publicity and political gains.
