Congratulations Sis. mamajaz: |
Hello prettysussie, Truth be told, our chances are very slim. I have been on 70 points with state nomination since last year (NSW and NT) nothing positive yet as Accountant and External Auditor. Whilst waiting, I am trying English tests too to increase my points. As per having hubby write IELTS and assess credentials, it depends on how badly you want it. I wish I had that option as I have spent close to that trying to increase my English score Sis. I don't know how many points you have in English proficiency though. If you are yet to get 20 points, you may consider writing another. As per Customer Service Manager, I really don't know much about that but nothing ventured, nothing gained! |
Hello Josh, Sent. Sorry I am just seeing this. I hope you find it helpful. Cuetosh: |
Sorry I am just seeing your questions/comments. Good thing wisemen and praiseisgood have given you all you need. I just read that your wife is an accountant too. Please shoot and gather all points necessary. As per syllabus from OOU, yes I did but praiseisgood said he used statutory declaration and he scaled the hurdle so you may not need to go through the stress of getting the school's syllabus. I would personally advise you assess as tax accountant as I am not sure there are many people on that queue. If you go the route of General Accountant, you may wait a long while except you do an assessment for your wife too (this I strongly advise). There are loads of materials for PTE and you may get practice kit from peeps on this thread too. Please give it your all. I saw your PM and I hope my reply gets to you. By the way, when did you finish from OOU - I have notarised syllabus just in case it will be useful for you but you also have MSC from a foreign school. I feel all these put you in good standing. Bros, please gather all you have and shoot immediately. We need good news for Accountants (whichever field) cos it has really been a while. God's best and good speed. mikeade7: |
Hello bro, I am just learning about statutory declaration for school syllabus. That is a good one. We learn daily. We go survive and it will end in praise for all of us.
|
Yes I added my ICAN transcript but I am not sure if it was considered because it wasn't mentioned in thr assessment outcome. CAANZ accepts colour scanned documents or notarised My school didn't have to send a copy. I assessed since early in the year so whatver rate I used then is no longer applicable since rates are low now. Please go through the website to get updated information. Thank you. area74: |
Yes I studied Accounting in the university and work in an Accounting related job role. mcstan18: |
Sis no be only you o. I stopped listening to local news loonnnggggggg ago. Vetassess is not just expensive, you have to be extremely careful to be sure his qualification and skills are in alignment o. I dread that name anyday. It will end well for us. prettysussie: |
Yes o I have and still waiting for outcomes. All hands are definitely on deck. Accountants plenty die. I even assessed as External Auditor just in case. I am positive though.

|
There is nothing contradictory bro. It is just either of the three. Either CPAA or IPA or CAANZ. I assessed with CAANZ for instance while praiseisgood did with CPA. So you can go with IPA.
|
Thank you prettysussie. Spouse has HND (estate valuer) and the assessor is vetassess! Currently on 65 points so trying to get 20 points from English. You know Accountants are somewhat 'endangered'. So na to keep on trying English tests o. Thanks sis for the interest.

|
Area74, my school is tier 2 too (Olabisi Onabanjo University) I don't think the assessing bodies for Accountant look at the tier thing if your courses are actually in sync with what is required. You never know till you try. As per associate qualification being able to get into the pool for Accountant, I truly doubt as the minimum is Bachelors. Even those of us with positive assessment outcomes have been waiting since April (in my case). [quote author=area74 Degree. |
Good day area74, to get a positive assessment outcome, you must have qualifications equivalent to Australian Bachelors. Since you are certain that the courses required are in sync with the school's syllabus, I think you can proceed with your assessment. Thank you.
|
Hello Ubomm, when did you qualify? If within 2007, I can send what I have to you but I am having difficulty responding to PMs. You may drop your email so I can send to you. Ubomm: |
I assessed with ICAA and not CPA @praiseisgood did with CPA so he is in a better position but I pressume the requirements are the same. Go through CPA website and check their skill requirement for your nominated skill and ensure they are in sync with what you do (as per the tax consultancy role). As regards being chartered, I am not sure it adds any point if the courses you studied in school are among the required courses by CPA. Overall, I think you will get better information if you study the CPA website properly. You may however also reach out to praiseisgood for help. ceechedah: |
Better late than never, me sef follow celebrate our 500th page! Congrats everyone and well done Bellong. I truly appreciate you and all who have helped one way or the other. |
Congratulations bro. It is worth celebrating. 489 or not. Like Alphadoor said, it is not an at all at all visa. God will go ahead of you and prosper your ways.
So, finally it is my turn to testify, the Lord has done. |
I don't know how it works online but you can try downloading it (if possible). If the download is possible, you don't need copies and no need to notarise. What is required is actually the portion that pertains to the exams you took. zibe: |
Mama d mama, what makes a wo'man' is not in not falling but getting up each time she falls. It is painful but I like your courage. We will fire back till we overcome. It is well Sis.
No vex for the accusation bro. You know "we" ( I and the triplets inside my pregnancy ) don dey defend you nah. |
Notarised softcopy because it was photocopy that I got. zibe: |
Yes you can get ICAN Syllabus at the library in Ebute-metta but I think I can send my own copy of syllabus to you as I qualified in 2007. I cant respond to PMs. I think you should be the principal applicant subject to superior advice from the elders here. prettysussie: |
My response to your PM failed sorry. Please go with either ICAA or CPA as either Accountant or External Auditor (I assessed as both) and go very far away from vetassess. Calculate your points and aim for 20 points in English though I dont know how old you are. I hope this helps a little. quote author=area74 post=61788936]Senior colleagues |
Congratulations. We praise God for this. Go and prosper in the land. Blitzenkreig66: |
Hey folks, I need your help am struggling to get 20 points from PTE. Go through this and advise accordingly pls. Firstly, please accept my condolence on the loss of your father. Secondly, I see an improvement on your PTE particularly with the Speaking. I will advise you try PTE again or better still prepare more for IELTS and please stay away from TOEFL if you may. I have tried all 3 tests and I will not advise you go for TOEFL if gunning for 20 points. It is well bro. We shall overcome. |
Congratulations Royal54. God will go before you. |
Congratulations bro.
Thank you Jesus. All Glory be to God. |
