God turned my mourning into dancing again, he lifted my sorrows, I can’t stay silent, I must sing for his joy has come.
Dear E-family,
I know that this my testimony has been a long time coming, I was waiting to receive my ITA before spilling but today I have decided to share my time line and experience up to the point where I currently am, while praying that God favours me the rest of the way. (this is to encourage us all to keep at it)

PM me (I hope I will be able to reply the PM) let's see if you can use what I have.

Hello Toslad,

This is so generous of you. I am interested in the syllabus please. I passed my last paper May 2008 diet. I think what you have should cover my period too. I would appreciate if you can send to me.

Is it ok to PM you?

Hello Teecann!

I qualified about the same time. You can pm me so I send what I have to you (notarised copy). I used it for my assessment with ICAA. I hope they accept it though.

Thanks bellong my bad!

I didn't know Unilorin Accounting is also a victim.

@wisemen045, as it is, you have to choose between ICAA and CPA when you are ready.

bellong:
@wisemen045,

Don't assess with Vetasses except you have additional qualification to support your UNILORIN degree. The school is assessed as equivalent to associate degree by vetasses.

.
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by toslad: 11:45am On Jul 13, 2017
praiseisgood! lol @ hired assisin's salaries.

You really did justice to this.

@wisemen045,

UniIlorin is a good school for Vetassess. So you have loads of options - Internal Auditor, External Auditor, General Accountant.

I am an Internal Auditor in a financial institution and I got positive assessments for both External Auditor and General Accountant from ICAA.I wasnt lucky with Vetassess cos my school (OOU and course - 4 years) was not seen as being equivalent to Australian Bachelors.

Disectur can put you through on the Internal Audit route, I can help out with ICAA while you consult Praiseisgood for CPA. The choice is really yours to make.

The advantage Vetassess has over both ICAA and CPA is that no English test is required before your assessment. ICAA and CPA require a minimum of 65 and 7 in PTE and IELTS respectively.

I hope this helps you further in making your choice.

Whilst waiting for your consultation with disectur, please which school did you finish from?

Also check out the required skills of External Auditor/General Accountant from both ICAA and CPA.
wisemen045:
Kindly guide further please. I appreciate your assistance.

toslad & disectur,

Thanks. I have sent disectur a PM. At this point it is better to try all open options.
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by toslad: 4:19pm On Jul 12, 2017
You are the one to do the statutory declaration. As per which is better I don't think there is any difference really. I used a notary public for all my documents and got positive assessments with ICAA (with Vetassess you never can tell). I flee at the mention of that name! A word of caution for you though, I think you should do a pre-assessment or something with Vetassess first. My honest opinion cos I have been 'burnt' as per Internal Auditor assessment with Vetassess.

I just saw disectur's response. Kindly work hand in hand with him.

wisemen045:
e-Family,

Greetings.

My current employer, a financial institution, has declined my request for employment reference to VETASSESS (internal auditor).

I saw something about a ''witness'' in Oga Bellong's sample. Just to be sure. Please, who is supposed to swear the statutory declaration of employment. Is it the applicant quoting his supervisor's details or the supervisor stating the applicant works with him?

Which is better/acceptable; a notary public or taking the declaration to the court for declaration?

[quote author=bimlat post=58283472]My wife is a chartered accountant. She qualified in 2011 with 7 years experience as an auditor and tax associate
She did Ielts with 6.5+ score 32yrs and graduated from unilag with first class (DLI) in 2014

Let me try to respond to this as much as I can - relating to your wife. First of all, the IELTS score is supposed to be 7 across bands so she is going to do another. Then I don't think she can assess her ICAN qualification alone, I also do not know if they will reckon with part time (DLI) - gurus in the house can speak on this but when you are ready to assess, I will suggest you go with ICAA. Moreover, you will have to get transcripts and syllabuses for both programmes (ICAN and school).

I don't think there's anything else to add.

I don't know how old you are though @gracefulchild. You may go through the first page and score yourself as per your points. But like they had already mentioned, we Accountants are on a long thing. I am not sure if your professional qualification will count as my ICAN certificate wasn't considered.
