Thanks tempzi tempzi: It's not compulsory to submit IELTS for a study permit application although some applicants add it sha.
You can use either Gckey or new portal the differences ain't much the must important thing is how you organize your application/documents.
Cheers |

Hi everyone, pls does anyone know any Uni Poly or College offering at least 2yrs program in medical laboratory technonlogy(Dipl or Bsc) in Canada ? The schools i saw don't give international students admission for that course. Pls i would appreciate any recommendation. Thanks |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by TOSM: 8:33pm On May 29, 2022 |
kweje: Dear TOSM, Health related courses are usually higher in cost. Getting less than 18k for BSCN would be few. Few cost over 18k, most over 20k. Check some colleges and Universities in Alberta, NewFoundLand, BC and Manitoba(Brandon University).
You may see Diploma in Nursing for less than 18k.
I will suggest you use Applyboard.com to search this out.
Last last, you have to do the research oh. A school may have good fees but locations & some criteria may not be what you like.
All the best. Thanks Kweje |

Hello guys.
Could you please recommend some Canadian universities with less than 18k CAD tuition fee per year that are currently accepting applications for academic programs (January intake)? Specifically Nursing (BSCN).
Thanks |

vividlooks: In my opinion, I'd say no. But when you say financially capable, do you mean the student already has a stable source of income?. Well I'm not a VO So, Let's wait for others to weigh in on the matter too She's studying abroad and has a stable part-time job. Thanks vividlooks |

Hi guys, can a sibling who is also a student and financially capable stand as sponsor? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by TOSM: 3:04pm On May 26, 2022 |
Blessed451: If you don't have asset(s) in your name it's not a problem, if your dad is going to be your sponsor he should provide his bank statement 4months and a good balance, get a reference letter from his bank and a written letter stating he's your father and he's going to bear full responsibility for your proposed purpose of visit, if you have some money in your bank account you can also submit it. If your mom is willing to gift you a land then let her transfer ownership in your name and attach the document and you can attach other family assets all these will suffice but the koko is a good bank statement from your sponsor etc like I mentioned earlier Can a sibling who is also studying serve as a sponsor? |

ShowYoung: If it's true that the $9,000 is not refundable as you have claimed, I will advise you avoid this school totally except you can afford to sacrifice $9000.
Visa denial or delay can make you lose it. You don't have control over it.
Look for another admission in a school that is not as hostile as this.
Schools that don't usually refund tuition deposit don't request more than just $500 as tuition deposit. ShowYoung, could you please help me with the names of such schools? |

Keren12: Good evening family and friends. I was having and argument with someone this evening. He said VO go as far as checking one credit bureau score. Especially if one loan has gone pass due date of repayment. That is why most refusal are based on fund. Especially this small loan people that entered Nigeria has spoiled alot with emails, calls and text messages. How true is this? Biko has anyone gotten visa while his Loan has passed due repayment date? Pls, is it also possible to go with loan? |

ShowYoung: This is not Khazirat responding. It's @ShowYoung.
Which school is that? Can you point to the refund policy? How much is the tuition deposit? Sorry, ShowYoung. Thompson River University and a semester deposit is 9,000 CAD |

ShowYoung: Have you gained admission in a college or university in Canada already?
Study Visa application is done after an admission has been offered. All you need do is get your documents ready and proof of funds. Documents like bank account statement, passport, birth certificate, proof of home tie, proof of sponsor etc.
You can refer to part 1 of this thread to read more on applying for visa application. Thanks for your response, Khazirat. Yes, i got a conditional admission and i must pay before i can get the full admission. My problem is the tuition fee is not refundable. Secondly, my sister is the one funding, but someone told me it's not possible because she is also a student. What do you think i should do? If my sibling can finance me, should her status as student be a problem? |
