Yes. I am aware of a situation where one applicant had to pick up at the embassy a day before his scheduled travel (to another country). He told the security that he had an appointment to pick up his passport. When he got in, he explained his issue and that he has tried to reach the embassy via emails and phone calls and cannot afford to miss his flight. Apparently, a lot of people have been to the embassy to pick up their passports, so it was not new to them.

He could not pick up that same day cos he got there late at about 3pm. The next morning, he went back to same unit and they attended to him after about 2 hours and he picked up his passport. However, be ready to schedule your visa appointment cos the passport came without the visa.

One can do this? How does it work and Will they release the passport immediately?

I advise that he goes directly to the embassy. People with travel plans had to go to to embassy to get their passports.

Hello all,

Hope everyone is enjoying the break and Happy Sallah to my Muslim brothers and sisters.

Please I need an urgent response to this....

My hubby applied for Dropbox for 24th April and hasn't gotten a feedback till now,he needs to use his passport for an international exams coming up and he has requested they return it even if it means starting the visa process all over again but he got auto response of a reply in 5working days which is keeping it too close to the exams.

Is there any other thing he can do for him to get his passport out as that is the only valid means of identification for the exams.

If your wife is staying back for childbirth, her form should be B2 (medical) not tourism while you can indicate tourism on your form.

Hello Great people

Myself and wife have been reading previous posts becuase we plan to go to the US late august for vacation with hemmingsway safari resort, and then i would return after 2 weeks but she would stay back to have our first baby (just got married in december 2016).

Our interview date is June 1st, 2017 , we are yet to submit our online form, as our travel agent are assisting us with visa preparations.
but they advised we apply as tourists, since we have a ticket for 2weeks holiday stay in orlando and then my wife can stay back at US to have our child.

Am a little bit skeptical because my wife has a virgin passport, currently awaiting to do her housejob (medical career) and currently a sit at home housewife.

I have travlled to european countries and have enough fund to sponsor our vacation and child birth in the US.

We already paid for our Vacation visa fee B1/B2.

We intend to stay in atlanta, because we have a family friend there for child birth.

[b][b]How do we approach this visa interview?

my wife would be 18weeks when we go to the embassy.

our travel agency advice that i make an id card, that she works for my private company as a doctor, to show local ties.

BUT i JUST WANT TO TELL them as it is...since i have the funds and my wife would definitely return to do her housejob to complete her medical career. we are planning to travel together.

Also need an advice for an affordable hospital in atlanta or maryland. (i have the cost already for northside hospital, need other options).

I would have prefered Houston but no accomodation.

Our proposed POE is Orlando. we intend to submit our application form by wed 24th may latest

Looking forward to an expert advice. Thanks

Hi Dear

In my case, went for interview like 3months to expected travel date and had like $2k difference. Told the VO that I still had 3months to go and my savings for the period will cover it. The VO didnt ask for bank statements bit asked for budget sheet (which showed abt $12k) and asked how much I had. I told him abt $10k. And I was granted.

pointednose:
Good day everyone

Kudos for the good work being done .

My visa appointment is this coming week. I have all my documents ready but the funds in my account Is not up to that In the budget sheet. Has anyone been in this kind of situation? What can I do? Anu additional documents i can add to convince the VO that I will get the funds before travelling or what I can say if asked the question of insufficient funds? Thanks
