My brother, what has a woman submitting herself to her husband got to do with "slavery"?

Apart from men naturally dominating women, submissiveness has got to do with faithfulness, humility and being apologetic when you're wrong. It means a woman should be able to humble herself to her husband even if she earns more than him. She should be able to give the man the chance to exercise control over her despite her accomplishments.
