he bought the truck without documents......the amount the guy sold the truck to him was ridiculous.......he bought a stolen truck........so he is also a thief. For buying a truck without proper documents....na serious offense o
Okay I understand now. Agreeing to buy a truck without documents shows he likely knew it was stolen and didn't mind.

getting your bike back is like looking for a needle in the ocean......

Na so one idiot working for brother's wife....stole her delivery truck with goods worth about 2.5m, in ikeja.....we got his guarantor arrest...... Na for ibadan we catch am...after about 3 weeks.......he has sold the truck and the goods....and was planning to travel outta nigeria....we were able to collect about 1.3m from him.....arrest the truck buyer in abeokuta, and we have collected back the truck....he is cooling in kirikiri now......the truck buyer is also in kirikiri
It's good you were able to get the guy before he absconded but why should the truck buyer be arrested? How would he have known the truck was stolen?

The same Nigerians protesting against SARS for profiling them based on their appearance are the ones doing the profiling today. Smh. Ignorance is a disease.

OP, I pray you are able to retrieve your bike back.

Imagine this ugly long necked gorilla releasing a song titled nyamuri just to spite the Igbos but Igbos are strong enough that no one can intimidate them. that Igbos are peaceful people doesn't mean they are cowards. she should be singing about Afonjas and not the Igbos that are way bigger than any other ethnic group in Nigeria. she has been warned
There is no excuse to refer to another human being as a gorilla, and Dija is far from being ugly.

The earlier the government addresses the root cause of the issues being raised and embrace proper dialogue, the better. For how long will they keep trying to quell protests?

O have never felt pain and regret in my life like that day.
I have learnt not to delay anything in my life but I learnt at a high cost.
May Allah Grant you Jannah mum...ameen

You need to think back to the point this started - did something significant happen in your life? Did anything change..? Or was this a sudden development?

GLYCOLYSISS:
Most of the issues you listed stems from low self esteem.
Forget these psychological schemas most people employ to downplay the effect terrible low self esteem plays in their relation with others, under the guise of introverted personality, just to prevent people from seeing behind the mask of their personality disorder(s) or self image.
Work on your self esteem, trust me, the highlighted will automatically fix themselves, irrespective of your introverted personality ,is you genuinely is one.
You can't just generalize and assume people who are still growing in a particular area are suffering from low self esteem. This thread is meant to be a safe space for introverts, and not for others to come and be doing psychoanalysis and guesswork on people they don't know.

Wow. I never knew this thread existed. This is amazing. Reading your comments and posts makes me feel like you all live inside my head. I can relate a 100% to almost everything here

I’ve been searching for answers to why I do not like speaking in public or being around people I barely know. I was coerced to speak at a conference. The day of the event, I came up with a phony excuse and just couldn’t bring myself to do it.

I always shy away from physical meetings with clients. I don’t like picking calls except from family or very close friends. I’ll rather they send a text. My life is very weird and I keep trying to understand it.

And yes, I think and plan a lot. My brain is always hot. I’m passionate about solving problems but anything that requires direct contact with people I barely know, I’ll just hide behind the scenes

Several times when I’m outside my comfort zone speaking with people or someone I don’t know, tears start forming. I do not fancy extremely long conversations that deprive me of my time to think. Except of course the other party is a very very close friend or family undecided

I hope to understand this personality fully someday
Don't mind anyone saying you need a psychologist. You are perfectly okay. Everyone cannot be the same, some are more emotional than others, some are nervous or shy, others are bold and gregarious, it doesn't take anything away from you. The important thing is to continue to grow, and be able to flex from your default mode when need be - e.g. an interview.
cheers

And lastly never forget your odogwu bombing skills if you eventually migrate
That is how you people keep disgracing the country internationally. By the way, call it what it is - STEALING people's sweat.

I believe most going into it are adults above the age of 18...
What laws are these the supposed countries you referred to?
People are hypocritical when it comes to gambling,
The Premier league and so many top sports teams have at least a betting firm as one of their sponsors but apparently gambling is bad then why do such advert.
Las Vegas in the US is the home of gambling and they generate so much revenue...
So I ask again what laws are these?
The Gambling commission exists - there are rules those gambling companies must follow, you can read up on it.
No one is saying people don't gamble in those countries, but they provide handrails and there is a level of protection for the vulnerable - even with that it's messed many people's lives up in the West.
Meanwhile Nigerians will jump in blindly, a country that is struggling with poverty with no proper regulation is encouraging gambling. What a pity.

Nothing new about about gambling...
Around the world there are betting companies,
No amount of condemning will stop people from gambling, whether in sports betting or in casinos...
It's human nature
Those other countries are highly regulated, including sometimes enforcing blocks on customer accounts for those identified vulnerable. Please, tell me what Nigeria has in place? Very easy to compare to other countries without knowing what is in place in those places. Gambling is a problem! People should speak out against it.

The guy is right. We should all be accountable for our actions.
Of course we should all be accountable for our actions. But for a society to function properly and be safe for everyone, VICES should be discouraged. Otherwise we can as well allow drugs to flood the streets, gambling kiosks set up in every corner etc under the guise of individual accountability. That was how kidnapping started on the low and Nigerians kept quiet because afterall it is oyinbos being kidnapped, now we are in a situation where every tom and harry is being kidnapped.
