scholes0: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela
It goes without saying, that Education is the most powerful tool in the collective enlightenment of a society and a people, and it is not a co-incidence that the most educated and literate societies of the world, are also the most advanced in most aspects of human endeavor- Health, Standard of living, Ability to utilize their god-given resources for the betterment of their various societies, Technological and scientific breakthroughs, Sophisticated economies... ad so forth. The more the number of educated people, the greater the pool of human resources a society would be able to tap into, in sourcing the necessary mental power necessary for its development and sustainability, short or long run. This is a breakdown of Nigeria's educational figures, citing and reviewing a number of sources, but majorly: The African development information and the National statistical bureau. The results are slightly different, but are more-or-less the same, with both bearing strong correlations and similar figures. This may be due to the fact that the statistical board latest figures ere based on 2008-2009 figures, while the African Development info's was based on 2013 figures.
Without much Ado, We move to the crux of the issue at hand, breakdown of Nigeria's education statistics.

huangcheng: Listen small boy, you can lie to yourself all you want, you can even downplay this truth but the minorities are crying everyday about the colonization of their ancestral land. Is Ambode from Ijebu, Epe, Ikorodu or Awori? What is his business with Governance in a place that is not his ancestral land. Why will an Ondo man even have the guts to contest an election against an indigene and even win and nothing is being said about it?
Nobody can take that nonsense. It will never happen anywhere else outside Lagos even in Ondo, Osun or Ekiti that claim to be Yoruba land. That sums it up. Thank u |
Politics › Re: Some History On Lagos And Yoruba Migration - Nigerpeople by totit: 11:43pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
Flyoruboy: That's why I said in my last post that the OP is applying the usual Igbo/SE/Biafra mentality to Yoruba land. The Ijebus/Epes/Ikorodus have as much claim to Lagos as Aworis, as do the Egbas also. Who are the Epes? Ate they not Ojebus? All these people are Yorubas at the end of the day, which is the koko of the matter and all that matter. The OP is just trolling. I posted that for reference sake, and exposé his trick. I 'm about to show him superiority as i'll as well create a thread "anambra against imo etc Watch out Anyone can as well do that on my behalf |
Politics › Re: Some History On Lagos And Yoruba Migration - Nigerpeople by totit: 11:38pm On Aug 16, 2015 |
huangcheng: No Igbo man will call Lagos a no man's land. Lagos is Yoruba territory but Lagos is for the indigenous people of Lagos state and not for every Yoruba migrants to Govern. Go back to your evil forests where you migrated from so that true Lagosians can enjoy their ancestral land. Lagosians are tired of the dominance by Yoruba migrants under the pretense of "We are one". They don't dominate you in your ancestral lands. Why on earth would this be seen among igbo race??

huangcheng: Nobody is arguing that Lagos is not Yorubaland. Lagos is Yorubaland but so is Osun, Ondo and the other Yoruba state but Lagos should be left to the indigenous people of Lagos to Govern. Can you contest an election in Osun state without being reminded that you're not an indigene of the state? You better stop this false pretense and speak up whenever the need arise before you become a slave in your own land.
Tinubu a non Lagosian now dictates who becomes Governor in your state. Ambode, an Ondo man won an election over a true Lagosian in his own land and you think this is normal. Yoruba migrants should stop stealing slots meant for the indigenous people of Lagos state. Tarrrrhh Don't come with that yeye trick This is ibo man for you. Why on earth would this be seen among igbo race??
