rdokoye: Employment rates in Nigeria is calculated using the Labor Force Population, which is derived from Nigeria's flawed population figures. It's simply speculation.
Unlike in the UK, where everyone has a National Insurance Number, which the government can use to determine whether or not you're working.
It's flawed. Lmao!!!! Everything is flawed :I God bless the SW the land of milk and honey. |

rdokoye: Measuring the size of the economy and collating statistical data on poverty, are two entirely different things.
It's easy to keep track on what Nigeria is earning, every quarter. But it's virtually impossible to determine how rich a populace is, if you are unable to keep track of the people within the country itself.
If you can't determine how many people in Ogun State have a job, because you don't really know how many people are actually in Ogun State. Then how can you know how many of them are poor? Employment statEmployment stats www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/download/694 |

The survey collected data on individual and household demographics (age, gender, marital status, among others), access to education, health and basic services, employment, assets, and income. And....all of a sudden ' four storey buildings " is now your yardstick. I didn't know that people don't build 4 storey buildings in Lagos, Kanu, Abuja and or another part of Nigeria, right?? |

What has town got to do with the bone of contention here, the OP.? I believe there are billionaires in Anambra just like everywhere else but what I found so funny is how Anambra has the highest numbers of billionaires without a verifiable numbers to establish that. majamajic: So igbos don't live Abuja and Lagos ?
Bring up a town in Abuja or Lagos compare their billionaire indigenes with nnewi indigenes , go by town head to head , nnewi is not a state , it's the town with highest numbers of billionaires in Africa Come up with a Nigeria town let's compare their indigenes I challenge u , don't run to Mention me with a town , if not close your mouth and give nnewi the Respect !
So far none of you has been able to come up with any reasonable answers, figures.
The thought-provoking question is, where are those billionaires, are they not a human being like you and I to know who they are?
Where in the world do people claim to have the highest numbers of billionaires out of thin air or without figures?
What numbers or figures were used to compare them with their counterparts in Lagos, Abuja head-to-head, and come to such conclusion?
I dare to say, Abuja and Lagos have the highest number of billionaires. Can you dispute that head-to-head with facts
I don't want any emotional or oral figures my mentions ya all.
Thank you all for your understanding. Oga, let's focus on the OP. We are talking about the imaginary billionaires in Anambra, Nnewi precisely. Ok? Now,how was the figured arrived and are those billionaires ghost that we can't even account for them and compare them with their counterparts without anambra This is very funny if you ask me. Thank you. |

Dottore: Igbos no doubt are the richest in Nigeria. They have the largest concentration of people that live above poverty line as a result of their penchant for self reliance and competitiveness not only amongst themselves but in the environment where they find themselves. Igbos love to migrate in search of greener pastures
An average Igbo is very ambitious and never cows at economic challenges. They can adapt easily to economic swings of any given location. They have proactive business tendencies and inborn informal business forecast skills thus making them willing to delve into virtually every form of commercial activity. You'd see them VIRTUALLY IN CONTROL of sectors of commerce like: Household Electronics Mobile Phones, ICT equipment Office and Hospital Equipment Clothing and Apparels Cosmetics products Groceries Automobiles and Spare Parts Building Materials Public Transportation Household commodities General import and Exports Hospitality amongst others
You can still feel their commendable presence in other sectors that they are not in dominant control of like: Manufacturing Oil and Gas Banking Forex Craftsmanship Real estate Food and Beverages Hospital and Healthcare etc There's no state or town in Nigeria that you can't find a market dominated by Igbos. There's no country in the world you can't find an Igbo man.
Igbos own at least 60percent of the hotels in Nigeria.
Apart from the indigenes of host states Igbos are the highest number of landlords and property owners in every state in Nigeria.
An average Igbo man is very afraid of poverty that's why some can even venture into narcotics trade just to escape poverty.
Apart from few Areas with heavy Federal Government presence like Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt, Igbo states/regions are the most developed in Nigeria despite being war torn in the inglorious Nigerian civil war of 1967-1970
Call it chestbeating or anything but its a verifiable fact. slyfoxxjoe: forget Forbes. You really think Bezos or Bill Gates are the richest men in the world? Lol they only list people with declared, traceable and legit assets. I can categorically tell you there are many men of the underworld or even legit businessmen with untraceable assets that are richer than Bill gates but don’t show up on Forbes list. AmazingELixir: Stop arguing blindly, If you claim to be a Nigerian and don't know Nnewi a town that can even go for a local government as been the hub of money bags and big time industrialists then sorry..
There is something different about Anambra people those guys don't do some things, their resilience encapsulates the survival and can_do spirit of the south Easterners.
Unfortunately that resilience also leads them negatively as their love for money leads them to do somany unthinkable things. pasol4real: If u like killl yourself. It still won’t change the fact that Nnewi alone is richer than Nigeria. NaijadrivaCars: It is a pity you never left your State before. Real Stats. Check out FORBES and see for yourself. Toscarel: give us the real stats about an alternative town with more billionaires or go and drink sniper out of jealousy majamajic: He said town , u are calling state Won't u get out of this thread ? If u fall from poorest nnewi person money , u go break hand and neck Better go ! Kawabonga: Someone should help this pained niqqur with sniper... slowpoke seems to be in 'sifia pains' Someone should help this pained niqqur with sniper... slowpoke seems to be in 'sifia pains' ezenwajosh: Ask an elder in your village....say papa who are igbos? benny4wax: Bro, good morning. Sorry I had to quote you so as to make my point. I was born in Kaduna, lived in Lagos and did my University in Anambra state University. I am not from Nnewi, neither am I from Anambra. I am Idoma by tribe. Whatever I am going to tell you now is without bias.
In my final year in school, I was nominated by the parish priest in my Church in school to be the chairman organising committee of the Final Year forum. I and a few others had the task to raise funds to print brochure, cook food for the whole students and buy gifts for the Chaplaincy.
I and my committee members struggled to raise funds. One faithful day, I decided to visit Chikason group in Nnewi. After speaking with a man who looked so unkept about my plight he collected my account number and after a long while, a week to the event I received an alert of #500,000. It was like a miracle. I used part of the money to pay for for brochure and the rest on food and drinks and gift for the church.
It's a long story. The man called 2 days to the event to request for an invitation. He came, saw the happiness in the face of the graduands and asked me if I still need money to solve any more problem which I declined because half a million was more than enough.
Nnewi people are stupendously rich. Igbos are rich you will hardly know because the rich ones are not in government and they live a low-key life. So far none of you has been able to come up with any reasonable answers, figures. The thought-provoking question is, where are those billionaires, are they not a human being like you and I to know who they are?
