First Bank and GTBank. ..since Dec 21st. I think it's due to the new CBN policy of trying to pause the devaluation of naira against dollar but they didn't put international students into consideration.
A very self-centered and myopic decision. Because at the end of the day, the children of the government officials won't get affected by the insanity of the government. God bless Nigeria.

Gurus in the house I observed something on the legal documents people submitted/advice to submit which 'I think' can affect/used against them in future when applying for graduate working experience.
AFFIDAVIT OF RETURN AFTER STUDIES
Just an observation ooo, cos I belive it will be on your file when reapplying.
Please brothers and sisters over there did you use this document?
Well, it could be due to the nature of his/application. Best believe, every application is already complicated and people still tend to make it more complicated... I left high school 2010, I applied for trv 2014. I did not submit any sop, or Letter of explanation neither did i submit that stuff up there. Lol..I saw people adding letter to explain gaps, and even adding photos to prove relationship with sponsors..It was kinda funny but I couldn't laugh because I understand it was all about the struggle and I wasn't sure I'll be approved. But at the end of the day as God may have it. My application was one of the fastest back then. If I can remember, it took not more than 4weeks. I applied, 4 days later biometrics, 2 weeks later medical and 1 week later passport collection.

I also wanna change too, it is possible, but how do we tackle the immigration officers at the Port of Entry POE.
Don't tackle lol. Just come in and don't even mention it to them that you want to change. When you are in, you can change. People do it everyday as your university might not have the course you want to major in.

Good day my Nairalandas, can anyone kindly inform me of the documents I need to display to the immigration officer at the port of entry? Wishing all TRV hopefuls the very best. I need your suggestions please!!
1.Your flight tickets /boarding pass
2.Your passport/Visa
3. Your admission letter/letter of acceptance
4. A proof of address of were you'll be spending your first couple nights until you get a place(a hotel reservation receipt is enough. But if you didn't reserve, get a friends full address(including postal code), and tell them you already rent a place and the landlord will be picking you from the airport. Not a big deal, but they just don't want you to come and wander about, for your safety and others especially now that's its winter. Good luck

Guys guys a quick one please. Will one be allowed to cross POE with the following foodstuffs :
1) Locust beans (Iru)
2)Garri
3)Melon (Egusi)
4)dry fish
5)wheat flour
6)beans
7)know magi
For sure, just put them in a transparent bag(Ziploc) with a little detail of what it is, stick to the bag. And also don't take too much cus they'll get rid of them thinking you are bringing to sell.

Hello house something strange was stated in my letter, it states i do not show sufficient relationship with sponsor. my sponsor did an affidavit of sponsorship and support and we both answer same surname. pls house kindly advice on how else to tackle this as it sounds strange because i dont know how else to prove relationship as we answer same name. sponsor is my brother.
I'm certainly not sure, but I can remember 2/3 years back, in this forum people added old photos of them selves and their sponsor.. I personally didn't have do that cus my sponsor was my dad, who is your sponsor btw?

3M is way too small. U have to tell ur sponsor to beef up his/her available balance or u get a co-sponsor.
If ur sponsor is not your parent, let him/her state the amount that he/she will be making available to you yearly.

When did u graduate and finish NYSC?
You told him 3M is way to small, and you ended up not telling him the okay amount in figures.

View the post above.

Also, as a minimum read the whole of Part 9. At the rate of 20 pages per day, you should be done with it in nine days. This should get you started. You may then read Part 8 at your own pace after you have applied for admission and are preparing to apply for TRV.

Read read read. It will benefit you greatly. No one will spoonfeed you. Also, don't forget that Google is your friend.
I really don't like it when new people are told to go read previous post, tell them what you know and leave the rest. Thank you.

Abeg Wat do they even test for...make I first of all check myself oo.
not sure, but i know people who had to go to the medical location to do a pre-test before their actual medical test, as the main result wont be released to you but directly to the embassy. you will surely get a vision test, urine and blood test(don't know what they are testing for).

Hi all,

A friend of mine just got her PR through spousal sponsorship. With the new foreign currency reforms in Nigeria, where can she get Canadian dollars for her to travel?

Thanks
USD will definitely be accepted if she needs to get food on her way, and when she gets to her location CIBC, RBC or Scotia Bank can help her convert her USD to CAD without her getting an account with them.

Hi all,

Please I intend to travel to Ottawa, Canada for the Xmas & New year. I discovered that Turkish Airline from Lagos to Toronto is the cheapest fare.

I want to know if I can fly Turkish Airline to Toronto and book a local flight ( Air Canada) from Toronto to Ottawa . This would save more than N50,000

I want to know if I would have any problem at the Point of Entry since in my Visa application I stated I was going to see my brother in Ottawa
you shouldn't have a problem, you just might have to wait longer in Toronto before getting a flight, you might also have to get your flight booked and get the tickets before approaching the boarder securities, cus they will definitely request for your ticket to your final location.good luck

Bro. I wanna know if the driving license in question is for both Auto and Manual transmission or any. For some of us that can drive only Auto, any advise about getting a full driver license in Nigeria here. Pls advise.

you can have the test in either auto or manual, lol it's gonna be so amazing to see anyone doing it with manual, when with automatic some people get it on 8-10 trials, 3-5 trials is considered normal, but still people pass it once but hardly ever. I'm not sure how you can get 9ja license, I got mine couple years back.

Just a quick tip/advice for all who just arrived to Canada or will be coming soon. If you intend getting a car sooner or later, consider starting your drivers licence process asap, depending on your province it could take up to 3 years to get a full licence. However, coming with a 9ja licence can speed up the process to 3 weeks like literally. Furthermore, tho it may be allowed to drive or to get a car with a 9ja license+offshore later, they are certain benefits you get in possessing your province drivers licence. benefits like, using it as a means of ID as opposed to carrying your Passport+visa about, getting some jobs, and also getting a cheaper premium on your car insurance. Cheers guys!!
