Mine was initially esim but the registration failed when the installer came to my place. I took it back to their office and had a physical sim configured during my 2nd registration.

I get 70/80mbps with it sitting in my room yet to be installed.

the best way is getting a small 1kwh power station, hithium or itel power tank is quite affordable and you won't have any issue complaining about the power bank lasting 3hrs again. I use itel power tank to power and it also power my light and tv.

My router work non stop without shutting it down except I am going out to far place

so for those talking about alternative means to power the ODU via powerbank ..i bought a type c to barrel jack with adjustable voltage from aliexpress.. i use a 65000 mah powerbank , i adjust the voltage to 12v to power the router as it is 12v-1a or so however the network is not really fast ..myabe cus it is powering the outdoor unit also..so i adjust the voltage to 15v and it works better.. if you go up to 20v it will trip the router

Yes it's nothing technical but because they don't want people to hoard it that's why there are strict rules around it

You are right , can the odu sub work with normal router like the 4g router

I saw it on Jiji .. 30k ..I think I will go for that 30k in few weeks time .. is still better for that price

You can install it yourself .....I haven't seen it b4 but I think common man will be able to install it .. is just to nailed it on the wall and connect the cables ... As far as there is no frequency you have to activate before using it

Is this slow network issue affecting everyone using the ODU 50Mbps plan or just some people?

Sum odu user are complaining too, till this morning , the network is still poor, I am using a router, but the network has been so poor , been trying to call the customer care, sine I told the guy to connect me to his supervisor, more than 29 mins nw, the supervisor Neva pick call

Seems like Airtel here in general is terrible tonight because on my normal data plan I'm also getting 3 Mbps. I really hope it's fixed by tomorrow.

Uma get lucky o.. I am not getting anything on my router, on my phone I am getting like 1.2mbps .. Airtel pls get this fixed , the network is too poor

I watched your video simply out of curiosity. 'WCDMA Only' means '3G Only'. That's why your speed is poor. 11Mbps is extremely poor, especially when you have an unlimited plan.

Network is horrible in my area too. In fact, I can't get that 11Mbps anywhere within my house. However, after the installer installed the ODU router in a strategic position close to my roof, I am now getting 80+Mbps on 4G.

My router is connected to my tv ... We stream without a problem, most times if am watching football on the tv my wife will be busy streaming tiktok videos, without a problem, if U think 11mbps is too poor for you that means U are on the 50k 30mbps plan ...
For u to b getting 80mbps plan on Ur odu... Ur area network signal is very good ... I hv seen ppl using it here .. the maximum speed they are getting is 30 to 40 mpbs

If U cNt get 11mbps with the 4g router.. try the settings, U will be amazed that U will get up to 18mbps during the day ... because that Ur odu speed don break record o, I never see 80mbps b4 on odu b4 pls post the speed and lets see

WCDMA is 3G, LTE is 4G. Kindly take note. Put your band 7 on Lte only and see your speed improve from that poor 11mbps.

😂 If U are having 8 Mbps or more with LTE in Ur areas, that means U have a good network coverage.. , that video is for ppl that are facing very poor network signal not for U, If U are on the 20mbps Plan, and U put Ur settings in LTE, U cant hv more than 13mbps if U stay in an area with a very strong network.. pls post Ur network speed let's see , this is my own speed, I checked it at 9.27pm

What tweaks did you do?

Every1 that are having problems with Airtel network issues, should try this settings

in your internet settings, change your network band to 7... U can also check the bands one after the other to know which one is better, after that go to the settings , you will see 4g settings.. change form 4g lock to Wcdma and press okay

Pls let me know if it works for you because I have helped lot of ppl in my area with the settings and they are enjoying it

yes, unlimited 20mbps. On average, it fluctuates between that and this. Reason why I am urgently waiting for the FibreX to be laid .

If U are getting a 5Mbps at times I think you shouldn't tamper with the router settings .. all you have to do it .. change the location of the router.. look for a place in your room that has good and stable network and put it there .. even if you have to put it outside your apartment

Like my area now, no 5g in my town and my location Airtel is very weak , I mean very week
After I changed the default settings I am getting this .. 2 ppl can stream at once without problems...

What type of Airtel router are you using

So the Sim spec of the odu .. the Sim is inserted in the one outside .. that means to remove Sim and use with my 4g router wen I am going out with it I have to be climbing up and down everytime I am going out .. if that is the case den... Make I dey manage my 4g router... Airtel network is very bad in my area I used to get 700kbs maximum 1mbps but after I did some inner setting on it... I am getting minimum of 8mbps .. at home and most times 20mbps at work.. I am okay with that, i am still doing the Norma data Sha .. the area data plan ..

I nor dey do pass my sef.....my Kids attend a well known government school with sound teachers and modern facilities, attedance is bae,with serious and dedicated teachers.


My daughter represent her school at every events and she comes back with truck loads of gifts,at one occasion i was so proud seeing my lil daughter at our stadium podium shaking hands with the person that represented our delta state governor earlier this year.

Yes it will work you can use any Airtel sim on your router. Router don't select sim

And they will allow me to do the unlimited data plan on a new SIM

In summary, all Airtel unlimited SIM cards have been restricted from working on devices other than Airtel-branded routers. The only known workaround is to change the IMEI of your MiFi device to match that of an Airtel Router. Need assistance with this. Kindly reach out to me.

Might be your location or the Airtel box itself. A week before my sub expired, I was able to download about 7 ps4 games totalling almost 900gb . Download speed was hoovering around 12mbps. There is a cap,, but it's definitely about 1tb and everyone knows about fair usage policy, it wasn't invented in Nigeria. The plan is not perfect, but it's still better value than most around
