Just finished reading like 5 pages back. I cried and cried on reading ur BS @beyedew. I use to think I'm strong hearted but I wasn't 2day.Your baby will bring so much joy and blessing to you that whenever u remember his birth story,you will be glad you went thru it for him.@heroinic,pls don't be depressed,God got ur back.dey say in my place dat a nursing mum should never weep tears of pain or be sorrowful as babies can sense it in their mummy breast milk. Pls rejoice for the blessing you have in ur hands @ proudmom38,I just love you,you are a strong woman. God will grant unto you it twins very soon.luv to little proudy. My dearest Cappo mumsgirl27, I trust your doing great. I am in Abuja o and I went to register at Federal Staff Hospital in Gwarinpa yesterday but I didn't see the doctor o or rum test or scan, they said I should come on Monday and they will pick a day for the ante natal for me before I see a doctor or run test but they have collected my money already. I'm sort of regretting my decision of going there but my DH said I should be patient with them so... I went for scan somewhere in Kubwa(Scan villa) and my baby is doing well with a heartbeat though the scan changed EDD to May 30th.

Welcome Olubassey92, please don't go to Kingscare Kubwa, I know someone that had a really terrible experience there. You can try Maitama General, Federal Staff Jabi or Federal Staff Gwarinpa. I'm a first time mum so I also sorted for opinion before going to Gwarinpa. If you want to use Private hospital, you can try Nisa Premier. Welcome once again.

To my other teamies, I hope we are all doing great. The lord is our strength because we haven't gone far and I am already tired o. God will see us through by his grace. Amen.

Seriously speaking ehn,I've not seen any hospital in Abuja that one person or another has not complained about. When ure about to choose one for ur ante-natal,just ask for direction from God and He will guide u to d best one for you. I use Limi hospital. Was great with my 1st and 2nd.Dere used to be one maternity hospital like dat dat was closed like 4years ago,not sure if dey re-opened it. Someone recommended it for my 1st but my Spirit was totally against it. Only to hear later that a man lost his pregnant wife dere at d point of delivery. D labour was too long and d hospital does not have d capacity for carrying out a C.s. instead of telling d poor man d truth,dey kept forcing d woman 2 push till she finally lost it.

Not really sure. I've had d 2 and d diff was not much. With induction,labour was very fast,ccontractions very painful but dilation was also fast. So d pain is much and felt over a short period while d one without induction progressed gradually and was slow. Medium level pain over a long period of time.membrane sweeping is not induction tho. It is done to encourage dilation to start while induction is done wen u av started dialating.

I went to the hospital this afternoon... Dr said he was going to put 50cm abi mg of cytotec inside me to soften my cervix and also do a VE. Omo after seeing everything in his office I ran away oh.. I told him when my water breaks I will come... He said he's going to document it that I was the one that refused oh.

Pls run back ooo. He knows why he wants to do it. During d VE,he might do membrane sweep,not sure of d term. He puts some fingers in and try and try to turn and turn. They say it encourages labour to start quickly if u are close to or passed ur EDD. not really sure of d process again. dey did it for my ist.Just google membrane sweeping. Its a bit painful but its not a pain u cant handle and I was already on 3cm 5hrs after d process.

And for the family planning my hospital is a very good one with good consultant that's why I'm bothered as to what went wrong and wanted to know i can get different opinion so I can suggest it to them. Thank you very much.

I got pregnant while on contraceptive injection. The same injection my aunt took and could not conceive for like 7years. I think it all depends on individual body. My doctor is suggesting copper T,not sure I got d spelling right but I'm scared of anything impant. Just talk with ur doctor. They will get d right contraceptive for you.

I'm typing this from scan center!


Went for scan this morning, was told to come back for a repeat by 4pm. So I went back for the repeat scan only to be told that there's fetal node without cardiac activity!

I'm 12wks today but scan says 9wks....Was told it could be a missed abortion, that if that is the case I will have to flush it and start all over again since baby is not progressing! But I should come back in two weeks time to repeat a scan and see how it goes before final conclusion!

@8weeks, I told my boss I was starting antenatal and its 2days per week, I just dey take that time dey rest for house even though I later started @12weeks.......Imm I enter 3rd trimester, I go tell am say antenatal don change to 3days a week

For d mail, I have no idea but I think u should just use d official request format of ur office then change d content

I like dis ur method oo. 2 days per week. I told my proprietress I wil be going for ante-ntal every 2weeks. D woman just look me from under her eye glass say but you know no other person can handle ur class like u. I was lost thinking of what 2 say. I was weak sha. D love I have for children. I will go back after thinking of what to say oo. I cannot come and kill myself.

Yesso Pcm as in paracetamol, it's just to soften meat faster, parts like fresh cow skin,leg,shaki etc. It was a meat seller that told me bout it and no it doesn't change the taste.

Pcm? What of d chemical components of pcm and then the components of meat.I hate that drug so much.I use pressure pot to cook my cow leg,skin and shaki and it's usually done in a max of 30mins.

I've been peeping ooo. Ms dealing with me,it just took a new gear ooo. I'm always tired and sleepy and sleep is almost impossible wen u have 2 baes jumping on ur head up and down and asking while arguing that mummy what is in ur tummy.
I overhead my 5year old telling her friend she will soon have a baby brother. I laugh sotey,tears dey comot for my eyes.

Am trying my best ooo but u know aw children can be sometimes. Imagine d smaller one jumping on my stomach while I was busy sleeping all in the name of hide and seek. D pain I felt ehn just reminded me of d pain I felt wen I was pushing her out. I just went out of d room,locked myself in the toilet and came out after I was calm.

I no even know which day to call my lmp sef so am relying on scan. Was on injection and my cycle was already messed up. Chai,this my baby is Boluwatife.

Guys I need help. I went to the hospital two days ago to complain of lower pelvic pain that I had been experiencing for the past two weeks. The thing was looking like round ligament pain or braxton hicks because the nature of the pain was:
1. It was worse if I exerted myself or did exercise like walking.

2. It usually came on sharply if I attempted to turn from one side of my body to another but it will stop if I am lying still.

3. It was majorly one sided, affecting only the right side of my lower pelvis.

So when I asked the doctor what could be the problem he said its likely to be preterm labour and he prescribed SALBUTAMOL and PARACETAMOL. Me on my part I don't want to take the drugs yet because I don't think it is preterm labour cos labour pains is constant even when resting and it affects the entire womb and even the back. I don't want to take drugs that will prolong my pregnancy just cos of wrong diagnosis.

So what do you mums think? Is it likely to be labour pains? I am 24wks pregnant by the way.

I had the same issue at 28 weeks with my 2nd. I complained to d gynea and he prescribed sabutamol and paracetamol and told me that I needed to rest. He didn't check me as well. When I asked him,he calmly told me he has attended to hundreds of preggy women before and from experience,he understands the peculiarity of my case.I took the drugs and tested well for like 3days. Baby came at 40 weeks,3days.

Hmmmm . All glory to God for taking charge of the situation. Pele dear. Just like my mother says 'ise omo po, ori je n jere nibe ooo.' to take care of a child no be moinmoin,heavens would help us and we will reap the reward of our labour on dem.
Pls try and be giving him multivite after his treatment and watch out for the smallest sign of malaria so as to get it treated on time. My first is stomach upset days before d temperature rises while d 2nd will just start losing weight.

Mamas please pray for lil Proudy. Took him to hospital this morning cos he was so weak last nite n pale, checked his pcv n its 12%.

They said he needs blood transfusion!

Everything happened so fast....

In the hospital now.
