Please, what is the purpose of a thread like this if its not to pour ur heart out or get support from experienced people like you all, especially for a first timer.

As a matter of fact, I don't believe that I have "complained" as much as you claim I do on this very thread, because I try to save most of my so called complaint to my pregnancy journal..

If that is the case, then about 70% of us are all "complainers" including you. You may not come online to complain, but we all do.

Pls don't maintain ur level mama. I was exactly like u during my ist pregnancy . Vomitted for the first 4 months and they kept changing drugs for me ,nothing was working. I was so frustruated and tired of life,and to make matters worse,it was just me and hubby. No support system. When I read ur comments,i smile and remember everything I went thru in that pregnancy and I laugh harder when I see my girl,5 years now.Pls hang on mama,every puking day brings u closer to ur darling,every frustruating day brings u closer to ur joy. Keep posting aw u feel cos it actually helps to have people around to encourage u. Plenty hugs to you.

I almost took mistoprostol at week 26 to induce miscarriage, I can't count how many times I've cried and blamed myself for being pregnant. And my baby is so peaceful, no MS not even once, no sign of pregnancy except for the tummy but still my mood swing is nothing to write home about. The worst part is that I live alone.. Please apart from seeing a specialist is there something else I can do about it?

So sorry mama, i think it's staying alone that is trigerring those thots. Pregnancy hormones have a way of making one happy one minute and teary the next minute or feeling so excited one minute and feeling miserable the next minute but in all,pls don't ever keep the thot of ending your pregnancy. I can assure you that all the feelings will turn to joy the ist time you hold your baby,so hang on mama. You are almost there. Hugs to you

Yeah,my edd was 19th and by 17th I had not started feeling anything and I was getting fed up but nothing wey I fit do.that same 17th was my clinic day so I saw doctor nd doctor suggested I took something to induce labor naturally instead of waiting till I cross edd nd be induced wt injection. So she sd I should get 12 oranges and a bottle of castor oil.dt I shld drink half d oil and 6 oranges wen I get home nd take d remains at nyt bfr sleeping.she sd it will mk me purge nd help me contract. She also said I shld climb stairs 10 times and a sex. I kuku dd everything o,I was doing d do wen I started feeling slight pain below my abdomen. I felt it was d intensity of everything but as it continued I just told oga to stop.afterwhich I just collapsed on d bed o.den I started feeling stronger pain.and like play like play I couldn't hold it again.it was as if all my intestine was being twisted. Babe it wasn't easy.couldnt lie down,couldn't stand..was just restless.d tn will just relieve me for lk 2 minutes nd start again.all ds started around 7 o,by around 9 ,we decided to go to hospital. Got to hospital to 10,was checked and was alrdy 8cm dilated....naso I open yansh down dey suffer contraction till I felt like poo poo...so I pushed o,nd my sweet heart came out at10:55...

Have you tried very cold water from the freezer. That's the only water I take when I'm pregnant. For my 2nd, i would eat ice whenever the water refused to go down. Ms is something else. Hugs to you mama.

On a lighter note this pregnancy is doing me strong thing. I can't stay without food for 3hrs e go be like say I wan faint n no be say I go eat plenty o. The worst is after eating I will be so uncomfortable with gas, I'm just 5wks gone . Team April na only me Waka come?

No be only you oo but we will keep pushing till 2nd trimester,hope it gets better by then. I take light snacks inbetween meals and lots of water,that is aw I've been coping.

Self control my Bro. That's what differentiate a man from a beast. O yes women can be "extremely annoying", but pls add to that list my boss, the danfo drivers on the road (esp if you live in Lagos) the policemen, VIO, LASTMA officials we encounter on the road, some of my neighbours (jobless men that have made gossip a career), in- laws, mechanics, electrician the list of those that get on our nerve everyday is endless. Do we go Mike Tyson on them? No Sir, we control ourself, we overlook a lot and at times we pretend to be deaf n dumb. Its what makes us a man. Make we stop to dey get power for only our wife body.
And yes am married to wonderful woman, I have 3 adorable sisters, a lovely daughter and a loving mother, they can be more than extremely annoying at times but I don't hit them. They are the best thing that has happened to me. Any day, any beast- in -man- clothing hit any of them, the beast in me will come out.

Thanks for this. Any man that can beat up a woman like this is a beast and a mental hospital patient. Whatever happened to walking away. Pls, dear men and women,if you feel this is right and you can do same if your man or woman annoys you, kindly visit the nearest mental hospital for check-up before you commit murder

Hot water is not harmful as long as its not scalding hot. You can let them do that i.e press the vagina.

But i'm in support with someone who said u should watch your aunt, some women use excuse of pressing the vagina to try and crush the clit0ris between thier fingers.

Now this is really scary. I'm sure I will be a lioness for a moment if any one tries this with me oo. All I just need to remember is those hours spent in the labour and delivery room,lol.

I am a stay at home wife and even though I have a side business I do to earn small cash on the side, let's face it my family takes up my whole time.

I have no maid and I have three kids to prep for school everyday. So, I wake up at four thirty am, prepare their lunch bags, wake them at 5.30 am and begin dressing them for school. I understand my husband has a busy day ahead so I allow him sleep in till 6.30 or 7 am when I wake him to start his preparations for work.

The kids leave for school at 7.30,i have to pick the youngest at 1.30pm and the others return at 3pm. So I have roughly five hours to clean(plates, wash husband, children, my clothes, iron and also work on my personal business which I don't have enough time for as I have so many other things that need my time.

The kids come back and lunch has to be ready for them. I help all of them with their home work and at the same time work on dinner.

After homework and lunch , they rest and I get into the kitchen. Hubby returns, if the children haven't eaten, he helps feed them. I go into kitchen to wash and clean, have my own dinner and relax. Work on my personal stuff and then sleep to wake at four thirty again.

These days NEPA hardly brings light and it just messes up my routine and I spend more time doing stuff like washing clothes by hand, preparing meals every evening because I can't store food as I don't have a generator to keep the fridge cool. We use an inverter but with this mad light that disappears for days, it doesn't do much.

In all this I can say I enjoy being the stay at home wife. People assume we stay at home watching television, folding our arms and all the work gets done by itself but try staying at home with kids for a week and let's see if your stress level won't be higher than it is when you are at work. I travelled for a week one time and left two kids in my husband's care and he was counting the days till I returned.

My kids do very well in school because their home work and projects are always done, my girl has come first three consecutive times now and if she isn't first, she is in the top three. Her teachers were recently commending my husband asking what we teach her in the house because she is far ahead of her peers. My husband understands it's the work I do for them at home.

After every session, my daughter wins either best in Mathematics or sciences and it makes us all really proud. My mother was a working mother and left me and my siblings in the hands of relatives and the things we went through are stories for another day.

I'm not discouraging working women, but just know that us stay at home moms don't sleep all day. We work in our own homes and even though we dont earn a lot from it, bringing up a well rounded child that makes us proud is payment enough.

When my children get older and depend less on me, I could focus on my self and I'm very okay with that.
Just yesterday my husband was telling me that he knows I need help but help comes with its own issues and I agreed . Anyhow it is, I will manage for now and keep doing my side stuff when I have the time.

God bless you beautiful woman. Continue being the best mother and wife, God will crown your effort with success. Your children are calling you blessed and your husband is proud of you. Seriously thinking about this too. Before the end of the year, I might also join you in this ministry.

Seriously, I don't get you. So a woman that stays at home does nothing other than getting fat. For your information, most women that stay at home do so for some basic reasons. For example,would you prefer your wife working for a 8-5job with a salary of 35k while you have two children to cater for and you pay extra money for after-school /nanny or staying at home, doing a small business and having time for your children.
Pls note, I am not a stay-at-home woman but I respect every woman that makes that decision to stay at home.

Seriously, whatever that means, I don't know. All I know is that I love the adult we all grew into: confident, respectful, disciplined and loving. Yes, my parents gave me tough love and it moulded me into who I'm today

Given the option of over protection and no protection, I will over protect anyday.

Everyday, I pray for my parents for the kind of training they gave us. God being my help, I will protect my children with all I have; I owe them that just as my parent did for me.

Lol. My parents were overprotective, I mean the highest form of it and we didn't turn out mumuish or wayward. The overprotectiveness helped us a lot, especially the girls. No visit from male friends till you get to the uni.When I was in the uni, my father had this act of coming around on sat morning, I would just laugh and tell him daddy I'm a big girl now ooo. Now if you see us talking, you won't believe it was the same strict man of yesterday. Protecting your damsels is just for some years, not forever.

Why do their friends come to your house when your kids are not allowed to go to their house?

Because they refuse to stay in their house. If there parents don't allow aimless roaming about, then I won't have the headache of thinking of the best way to send them home after staying for 2hrs without their parent worrying about them.

I have seen parents who do not allow their kids to spend time with their friends in their free time when other kids are having fun in the afternoons.
These kids are more often than not weird.

Even me, I can not allow my children to go and play in another child's house. Their friends come to play with them in my house under my supervision and for few times in a week. They interact in school, church and birthday parties with other children so no need for aimless playing around in the neighbourhood. I taught in a private primary school for about 3yrs and I saw a lot.

Toor, me too I was wondering ooo. I reported her to the head of children department and she flogged the boy right there in the presence of his mother. She also told her she won't allow such nonsense in Sunday school.

I will protect my daughters with all I've got. Things that we were not exposed to when growing up are everywhere now. Nudity is gradually becoming the norm, decency is being thrown away and some parents too are not helping matters. Let me give a quick example. A 5yrs old girl came to meet me on sun (I teach in Sunday school) that a boy is telling her to pull down her pant and sit on his laps, I was surprised because we were like 4teachers in that class, I told her to go and call the boy. When the boy came, I was shocked, he's a 6yrs old boy. I asked him some questions and found out that the boy have been seeing people around him do same. His parents, maid with security... I told the mother but she didn't see it as anything. She just said he's a boy now, dat it's the girl I should talk to. I felt really bad. These are the kind of boys our girls meet in school, playgrounds, parties etc.

Now I wish every man was this simple

Really. Even the first one. 'go and slim down before people will think you are his mother'. I've not seen any woman that plans to get fat once married but things beyond us happen;childbirth, hormones,family planning etc can all contribute to being fat.
Pls note before some underage boys will come here to ask me if I'm pained. I'm not and I'm not fat but I know people that are and their hubby love them just the way they are

So NOT true! There are no hard facts as to who does omuguo in Yoruba land. It's open to any/every party.

Ask any elderly woman around you. It's the husband's mother. I know there are exceptions and I mentioned it

cos d part I am from it's d lady's mum dat do come for d omuguo. her mother in law can only come on d invitation of d lady or if d lady's mum is dead
