Registration is easier done there.
Deadline 15th Aug

Thank you very much, your response was very helpful. Please do you know how she can pay via Remita, she says its written on the website to strictly make payments online. So she feels it might be useless going there in person coupled with the bureaucracy of taking permission from her office.

I so much appreciate your response.

Congrats. Glad to hear this.

*Edited* Bro, I wish I can ignore, but I will still say this. Is it a coincidence that after about a 20 minutes whatsapp call with me on 5th April(I have the call records with me), your Writing increased from 6.5 to 7.5 between your last two attempts? I know it was a short call we had, but it was free; you didn’t pay. Prior to this call, you even sent your tasks 1 and 2 writings for me to review, which I did. There is what we call appreciation. I’m not asking for vain glory, but please give some credit to who credit is due.

Henceforth, anyone coming to me for coaching, please carry your plenty money come o. wink No free or chicken-fee coaching. That way, I know I’m getting my due reward. Or else, you can try alternative sources. All the best to IELTS candidates.
Lol @ladymarshall just saw your mention. So full details below. Forgive me in advance, I am not a good story teller.

A friend of mine told me about EE way back in 2016 but I was tied up with other activities, so decided to shelve the idea for another time. Fast forward to end of 2017, I had experienced so many set backs but I was determined to get a new lease of life and soldier on. I registered for IELTS in Dec, wrote the exam in Jan in Accra (I was moving around a lot at the time). Locked down IELTS at that first go, did my ECA with WES, it was easy breezy. Had my evaluation completed in under a month (evaluated only a foreign masters), ITA came in Mar, 18, AOR: May 21st, 2018

Then it was SILENCE! No communication apart from "how to get a job" email in June 18. I registered and attended a Welcome to Canada session in July 18. Got the 'how to get a job email' early June and since it was usually speculated then that this email usually came from London VO, I decided to lock up for the next six months been aware of how unpredictable London used to be and carry on with my life. I actually prayed against my application going to London but I suspected there was a high possibility it would end up there. When my Application passed the 6 month point, I filled a web form in Nov, 18 asking for my visa Office, but I never got a response, finally decided to order GCMS notes on

Please house I need your help.
I want to begin my ECA and write my Ielts but I'm quite confused as I don't know if I should use my maiden name or my married name in filling the forms because I'm in the process of getting a divorce and my passport bears my married name. I don't know if I should wait till the divorce is finalized and get a new passport with my maiden name before applying for an ECA and write my ielts or I should go ahead with my married name for both of them.
won't it cause any discrepancies in my EE forms?

Thanks all.

My dear use the name on your passport as divorce cases in Nigeria takes long details has to correlate with you passport. Hope this helps, we shall pull through

DECISION TO TRAVEL

The decision to travel was made after a close friend of mine told me he was moving to Canada with his family in July 2016. Previously, I was not keen on leaving Nigeria mainly because of the perceived cost of such a decision and the choice not to take any desperate steps to leave Nigeria illegally. When my very close family friend left, I reconsidered my position and decided to make plans to move to Canada with my wife and son.

FIRST IELTS
My first ielts was written in September 2016 and my score was LRSW 6.5,7,7,8. I was not informed about maximizing my scores back then hence I took no steps in that direction. My spouse also wrote the test in early 2017 and her scores were ok...I can’t remember the exact scores now.

ECA
I started processing my unilag transcript in October 2016 and went through the usual delays at unilag. As at that time, I had just finished my Master’s degree in the school so I had to wait a few more weeks to send my Master’s degree request to CES, the evaluation body I used. It took about 6 months before i finally got my evaluation report. In between, my wife evaluated her 2 post secondary certificates with WES and obtained her evaluation report also.

ENTERING THE POOL
We finally entered the pool in July 2017 and were hoping for a miracle. While waiting, my spouse was reading through some information about the Canadian language benchmark equivalent of our ielts scores and we wrongly interpreted that it was these CLB equivalent that needs to be imputed as our English scores in our Express entry profile. When we imputed our CLB equivalent, our scores jumped to 442 and we got ITA with the following draw in 0ctober 2017.

REFUSAL LETTER
We were ignorantly excited and gathered all the necessary documents, submitted our application ,went for the medical exams and paid the necessary fees in December 2017. We ignorantly started making plans for our transition early 2018. The bubble burst happened in Jan 2018 when our application was refused!
This was the turning point for us, the moment of truth. When we discovered our error of ignorance, we made adjustments and I was more determined to make this Canadian dream happen with help from above.
JUMPING THE IELTS HURDLE
I think it was at this point that I discovered this thread and learnt about the need to max my ielts scores. I was approaching my 35th birthday in June and knew I had to make this happen before my next birthday in 2018.
So I booked for my 2nd ielts in February and wrote it in March 2018. The scores released early April was LRSW 9,7,8,6.5. I was disappointed that my writing scores dropped significantly but I knew there was no room for pity party as June was coming! That same day that I saw my English test scores, i immediately booked for the next available date in late May. I doubled my practice in listening and reading using all available resources pointed out. I particularly enjoyed using edx tutorials, ieltstestonline.com and Liz. I also used Jay’s tutorials on speaking and writing.
After my final ietls exams, i was expectant of a good set of scores because I knew the favour of God was upon me and I had done my bit with preparations. The morning in early June when I saw my scores was a beautiful one and my scores were LRSW 9,8.5,7.5,7. My crs score was now 451!

SECOND ITA
After my final ielts scores and my improved crs, I promptly received ITA in the next draw in early June and the cutoff score was same as my CRS...451. I was super excited and I submitted my application 10 days after got ITA because I had gathered my documents ahead and I also had a valid medicals that had not expired.

AOR
After AOR, I was checking my profile almost every day and very active on this thread. Everything was running smoothly and I was really expectant that my application would be approved before my 1st medicals expire. In October 2018, I got an update on my account that my background check had started and I had even ordered gcms notes a month
Madam, I share your pain and worries. Firstly, IMO, I think you need to pray for God's direction and confirmation that going to Canada is His will for you and your family. If this is so, then you'll pray again for God to touch the heart of your husband, and everything other things will just fall into place. Secondly, don't argue or talk about it with him again, just keep praying. The God that controls the hearts of kings and princes will touch his heart and make him to comply, if this is His will for you and yours.

Cheers.

Hakuna

Sis you seem to have forgotten that the heart of the king is in God's hand and he Turneth it wherever it pleases him, why have you decided to give up so easily. Do you think those that their husband refused initially didnt feel the way you are feeling now a d of a sudden they changed their minds bringing the turnaround the women in those shoes needed. Why not you say to yourself we'll cross the bridge when we get there. Him accepting to sit for the exam alone for me is a green light from God which signifies you to hang in there.

Have you ever heard the saying that when people throw stones at you, what matters is what you do with those stones, some people will either throw back the stones, some will run away but I tell you some will build shops, some houses and few others mansion. My sis you sure dont want me to start relating my own story to you; it's until you visit other people farm before you discover if or if not your farm is the biggest.

Please hold on tight to faith and not fate, garnish your faith with prayers. Am very sure it will end in praise las las.
It's been a long while I have been here. Decided to share my PPR story even though I didn't get it through express entry.

May 2017- Wrote IELTS for the first time and passed. (Just expired last week).

July 2017 - Got the result of my ECA assessment from WES.

July 2017 - Dived into the pool with a total score of 466.

August 2 2017 - Got an ITA as lowest CRS was 441.

August 9 2017- CRS was 433.

After due consultation on this forum, I realised I had wrongly put a certification that I had not assessed with my ECA. I was advised to remove the certification and revert to my 433 scores since it would be sufficient to get an ITA since the last draw on August 9 was 433.

August 23 2017- CRS was 434

September 6 2017- CRS was 435

September 14 2017- Celebrated my birthday and lost 6 points. My CRS dropped to 427

September 20 2017 - CRS was 433.

I dont think that should be a problem as you are guaranteed of an ITA in the next draw. We have seen similar cases on this thread.

You're only being pro- active

My score is 468 and i am expecting to receive ITA by the next draw.

My question is, although i am yet to receive ITA, Is it advisable to still go ahead with my medicals now since i have been able to secure an appointment this week at IOM?.

That is, will it be a problem if medicals is ready but i'm yet to receive ITA?
Its been a long time since I last visited this family. Am glad people are acing ielts, crossing the evaluation hurdle, clinching ITA, PPR rain down and all others I might possibly miss out.

I must confess that Liz19 story kept tears rolling down my cheeks and that slowed down my reading pace on the thread, She(star) am happy for you that it all ended in praise.

I sure missed a whole lot of characters here e.g @ifeoma77, Ladymarshal and many more.

My quick question, my spouse intends to evaluate his credentials. He studied Business Admin OND
Marketing HND
Business Adm BSC

Please which evaluating body is best to use?

Thank you all in anticipation
