Her profile is ok. Just make sure that you state the facts in the comment box and write an introduction letter too.

Thank you. Who would need to send her a letter of invitation to the Uk. Would this need to be her retired sister or my sister or can that be skipped since none of them is sponsoring her?

Hello house,

I’m trying to apply for a UK visa for my mum.
Here is my situation -
1. I live in Canada and would be sponsoring the trip. She has previously been denied a Canadian visa however, we have reapplied.
2. My sister travelled to UK last December with a tier 2 visa and would not be sponsoring as her account isn’t too buoyant
3. My mum is retired (she used to run a personal business) and now lives off her rent for her property and her biweekly stipends from me.
4. She has about 3.5+million in her bank account. I would be covering the cost of her flight ticket and accommodation
5. She has had several UK visas before now but her last visa expired almost 10 years ago
6. The purpose of her travel was usually to visit her sister who is a UK citizen so I’m thinking of putting purpose of visit as to see her sister who has hasn’t seen in about 3 years (her sister came to Naija 3 years ago) and to also see her daughter.
Would this fly?
What documents would I need to support this application?
I’m also considering buying a flight ticket and paying for Airbnb. Would this fly?

Thank you so much guys.

Hello house. I'm glad to be a bonafide member of this thread. PPR landed today and we intend landing in Ontario by the middle of July. Hubby is into IT and also has many years of banking experience while i used to be an office assistant. Are there pre landing services we can register for in Canada to facilitate our job search and also what are the best areas to narrow our search for house hunting in the Greater Toronto Area. We have 3 kids(5,4 and 2 year olds)

Hello honey86. Please check your inbox. I would like to branch into accounting as well
honey86:
I started my career in HR, but when I got to Canada I realised there is more opportunity in Accounting. So after I did my research I registered at a community college here in Winnipeg for a Diploma in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. By the grace of God i only have 4 months to complete it. Then i continue with my CPA Prep courses.

I'm writing this epistle because I have something I want to share for people who are interested in accounting. Seneca College Toronto have a one-year graduate certificate that covers all the CPA Prep requirements, whereas after my 2 years course I will still have to write 6 Prep courses. In essence, after one year you can move to PEP.
Here is the link to the course: http://www.senecacollege.ca/programs/fulltime/PRA.html

They also have a professional accountancy course that covers the first stage of the PEP; Core 1 and 2 and Elective 1 and 2, so you can start from capstone. http://www.senecacollege.ca/programs/fulltime/ACY.html.

I hope I have been able to help someone.

Hello house, please i have a question for our landed seniors. I have a science background but would like to branch into accounting. My destination is most likely Ontario, are there shorter courses or certifications I can do or do I simply have to go back to university ?

Hello super doll, please did you get a soft copy of your ECA report from ICES or your updated reference number on completion by email?

Hi Superdoll or anyone that have used ICES,

Please was a reference number generated upon application that your school quoted when sending them the transcript to ICES. Also, can certificate be sent via hellofax or email.

Someone have filled the form and sent the transcript and certificate but confused on how to proceed with payment and they do not seem reachable on phone.

Kindly help

A reference number is not generated upon application. It takes about 2 weeks or less for your details to be entered into their system after which you are sent a link for payment and your personal reference number.
However, your official transcript can be sent before your personal reference number is generated. It would be matched with your documents(application form, personal transcripts, certificate and ID) which can all be scanned and sent via e-mail.
Note that your official transcript can also be sent via e mail by your institution. Endeavor to follow up so you can contact ICES when it has been sent so they can match it with your documents.
ICES customer service is only available between 4:30 and 8pm (8:30-12:00 BC time).

Hello house. . .kudos to everyone on this platform.
I have a little issue. Although I'm currently awaiting my ECA from Iqas and uts a bit delayed. Our CRS point is 443 so we are optimistic about getting ITA on the next draw after my ECA is sorted. The issue now is, I am the principal applicant but the chunk of the money is my husband's personal account and we have to print 6 months bank statement. How do we go about this please?
