I wonder how someone from germany knows all this about people in America. Maybe his study refers to black women in Germany? ![]() I havent noticed any of this personally, because most of the black US women I've observed have all seemed to be on the tall side. In fact, the exact opposite of what this fellow is saying. Even some of my nieces and other female relatives are mostly tall. |
congoshine:thank you. makes one wonder if there are no upwardly mobile eligible young guys for the girl to choose from. The governor sef no get shame. The man and others like him ought to be queried, for real. this is very annoying. Thats how they start running helter skelter stealing govt money to feed the numerous mouths they brought on themselves. I dont see how an arrant polygamist can be a good leader. |
but to my wildest imagination i lost my erection.she was aware it was as a resut of my shock on the realisation of her occupationhmmmmmm! ![]() Your explanation doesnt quite explain the problem! I think you should see a doctor about your |
RICHIE BOI:thanks. I just found out she's his fourth wife? ![]() I wonder why EFCC doesnt investigate and lock up all the public officials with more than one wife? Because its impossible not to be corrupt and loot the treasury when you're a licentious polygamist. whose taxes are paying for all these wives? |
until it happens nah. why get a heart attack in the meantime. Just do job training in some other field,or start planning in case. |
gov Yaguda of which state plz? Some of us don't know.the bride looks like a Somali lady. Also reminds me of Tia and Tamora from the Sister Sister sitcom. |
have you considered changing your phone number. And start repaying her for your room and board ASAP. Before this turns to a police affair, try to consider other avenues to make the peace. If you do call the police, rest assured that's not something your husband will forget, no matter how angry he is with his sister. And regardless who is actually at fault here, try apologising to the sister and let people know you did that. Sometimes you have to go the extra mile in certain situations. I agree with Sea-goddess too. |
Little Miss Sunshine was insightful. They dont make those kind of movies too often. Currently watching- Lost in translation (its been on my to watch list for a while). So far so good, I guess? Bill Murray shines as he often does. The movie seems a little sad though. The actors totally capture the lost feeling and culture shock. |
kinwoman:these things may be important to you personally, but you shouldnt use it as a yardstick to judge everyone else. We may all be black but our histories are different, and you can't just lament the so-called "lack of culture" without taking that fact into consideration. Culture is so much more than just naming ceremonies, clothes and "traditional weddings". There's a lot more that goes on beneath the surface of what you see. Just like some AAs came up with the concept of Kwanzaa as a way to connect with their interpretation of African culture (which I think is what you're trying to adopt), yes, you can also create your own ceremonies and ways of doing things - nothing wrong with it. Some Americans make family quilts and things like that, which I think is very admirable. The African/Nigerian/Yoruba custom of naming a child on the 8th day isnt necessarily an "African" custom per se. Many people are of the opinion it was taken from the bible. So a lot of African customs were themselves imported from somewhere. Some were just acquired too far back for anyone to remember their origins. But an easy way out if you're bent on acquiring African culture, is simply to marry or date an African guy and adopt the culture of his people. |
well, I'll check the airline information if possible, since I dont really know much about all this. But I thought Koreans sometimes travelled to Korea via a stopover at Alaska. I checked Houston to Tokyo and the minimum fare I got was $1085 for a nonstop flight. Lagos was $1284 lowest fare. the article was written a while back so maybe something happened since then. However, there've been quite a few complaints about the customer service on many of the airlines though. A lot of the problems may be related to Sept 11 and terrorism, not to mention drug trafficking. |
landis:Are you African at all? I doubt you're Nigerian. ![]() helloo- are you familiar with the history of the continent? ![]() |
joyAA: kinwoman:ridiculous posts, if you dont mind my saying so. Any culture you want, you can make for yourself. There's such a thing as being burdened by culture too. But I understand the grass always looks greener on the other side. |
I hope this isnt the fellow who said his girlfriend's guardians threw her out because she insisted on dating him? ![]() |
hiiiiiisssssss ![]() you dey craze. |
AngieFan:you again? oya, start running your mouth anyhow on this thread. "Your all" is how much exactly? fifty pounds? If you had more than that you wouldnt be so bitter and frustrated. |
why do they like wearing those white dresses? ![]() whats that supposed to represent? |
They all seem like wigs, to me. If you notice, the eyebrows are a giveaway. But look at this: How to Make Straight Hair Into Afro Hair? How to Make Straight Hair Into an Afrowouldnt be surprised if they're models. Koreans are big in the hair business. |
